I thank di OP for dis thoughtful thread because one of di most important aspect of our online activities na to secure our private keys, especially where e concern money matter. If you suffer do DCA method to hodl your Bitcoin and at di end of di day you no secure your seed phrase and private keys well, you go de exposed to theft of di keys and hack attempts. I commend you for di image wey you share for di OP, e show say di more numbers of words and characters wey you take make your passwords di harder and longer time e go take for hackers to try to steal your coins.

As some experienced members don emphasize for dis thread, e de equally important to try to use words wey you go remember and to secure your private keys for different secured locations.

However we should also learn from this because it's the safest way we can make our data secured without the fear of hacks. In other words the use of 8 character password is safe however it's still a bit easy to hacked compared to a more complex 12+ character password mixed with both uppercase, lowercase, numbers and special characters.

Nothing sure for life, life itself no sure so no matter wetin you go dey use as passwords e still no sure. You fit put all the precautions yet if you no protect your password well and e lick online, hacker go still collect anything wey dem need from you. Wetin important pass for me na how you store the password. Make you no go use wetin you go forget if you no dey write them anywhere so as you dey choose the password make e be wetin e no go hard you to always remember or get a very nice and secure place wey you dey keep your password them and that place needs dey inaccessible.

Technology is advancing and technologists are looking forward to build quantum mechanics with very high computing powers and the only way to escape this is by increasing the length and strength of your passwords generally, especially in exchange applications or any other applications that has to do with money and sensitive informations. So when encrypting a file, an app or any valuable digital thing, it's best to use a 12+ mixture of character password.

Safety option na him make we no dey keep money for where wey no be we get control, if no be your wallet wey private key dey no go dey keep money there for long term. If na exchange no go keep money wey if e lost e go affect you because e no get how you wan secure place wey their serve dey centralized. The hacking fit no come from your side self and you go still lose your money so what was the need of all the passwords. There are other security measures like 2FA why you fit still dey use to secure your account so as you dey create the password no too overdo pass yourself or na you go dey cry here for person to help you access your account.

Seeting a complex password is important after which you should write it down and ensure you've kept it in a secured position so you don't end up forgetting it. Routinely, you could set out a range of time you would normally change your password most expecially if you have the slight thought that there is a possiblity that someone has access to it but while you've done that its necessary to discard the old password that has been written down and the new one written down.

Op thanks for this info God bless you, also I will like to bring to others notice that as you're trying to create a secure password don't forget it should be something you can remember because if you lost access to it then all your security measures is wasted.

Certainly any password to be taken as choice should be memorised and if possible writing down for backup storage, anything that has to do with storing passwords on the internet, count me out because those are very harmful practices and single mistake could bring your world crawing down before your eyes. And our passwords shouldn't be made so easy that anyone close to us could get a good hint and use it against our advantage.

Check the security level of your passwords and make amendment if needed.

This is good but not all time efficient, changing password routinely is not an efficient way of staying safe, it's better to avoid anything that will make your passwords compromise.

Though using complex password is important but we should always use password we can remember except on sensitive information example is our bitcoin seed phrase/private key which we ought to keep offline but we can't be doing this for every password we create just imagine having separate complex password for every platform it's required for?
It will be too hectic and this will make you access where you ought to safe sensitive information password too often.

Personal security is an important aspect that the digital sector comes with and we can't overemphasize the need to ensure that we're protected from external infiltrators who are currently in there numbers looking out for ways to get access into your device.

The first step should be that if you're working with a device that allows you to secure it with any length of password, it's best to use a complex password that's deficult for hackers to crack and even more complex for an internal infiltrators to guess. Sometimes the mistake we make is to assume that the major threat we face is those that are external to us while giving those staying under same roof with us an high chance of getting access to our security details. As much as our security is concerned most expecially if you're certain of the danger it has on you should your account be hacked or getting into, you have to ensure that both hackers and friends and family don't get the previledge of getting access to some sensitive information on your device.

We can't entirely trust using of our finger print to secure most of our sensitive apps because it's easy for someone to add his/her fingerprint to your mobile device and if you're not careful enough to verify it, you get exposed to a lot of threat. Security measures isn't something we can assume to have known it all as most hackers are actively devicing means to outsmart whatever methord you're currently using.

Just as bitcoin network and other cryptocurrencies wallets make use of 12 words as its minimum secured numbers of words as seed phrase, and it doesn't end there. Those words were randomly selected meaning they have no linkage between themselves. However we should also learn from this because it's the safest way we can make our data secured without the fear of hacks. In other words the use of 8 character password is safe however it's still a bit easy to hacked compared to a more complex 12+ character password mixed with both uppercase, lowercase, numbers and special characters. According to hive's research this is the time it take to brute force a password.
