People worldwide always want to know about everything technological, but when you talk about money you have to have the full conviction that people will pay attention to it, one way is for people to know that bitcoin has a lot of value in money, in dollars or euros, and whoever has Bitcoin is equivalent to having fiat money, if you start talking like this to anyone, it is the easiest way to talk about Bitcoin, and only then will you learn about crypto, altcoins and whatever you want, what important is to say that bitcoin is money.

I, as a beginner just like you, suggest that if you are going to invest you should watch the crypto movement. so that you do not choose the wrong price when you buy. and in my opinion when going to buy should be when the market is bear because when the market is bear I think it is a good opportunity to buy.
Lol, that's a wrong suggestion and you're need to understand more first before suggest to anyone.

Follow and only relying your investment decision on self pro claimed expert talking about the coins will increase in x price on x month are actually wrong. They're only give a non sense speculation without any analysis, when his speculation is correct due to lucky, he will give another speculation. If his prediction gone wrong, he will shut up his mouth for few months until many people forget about him. Then he will give another speculation and hope he's lucky enough that his prediction will correct.
I would say bear is not that bad? I mean I have been in the crypto world for nearly a decade now, and I do buy more during the bear markets as well, it does bring a lot more profit. I get that it may not be something that is easier to understand currently, but we shouldn't be shocked about it when it happens neither.

Just realize that we can't really make do with what we normally do, we just need to realize that it is a bad market right now, even when it starts to "recover", so buying right now is a lot better, if we stop doing that and we end up doing something a bit more risky like wait for it to move, that would be too late if you ask me. So I guess as a newbie he is not that wrong to me.

Well I believe you should first learn the difference between Crypto-currency  and Bitcoin. Many people don’t know the difference. You can do a lot of research through reading as you should already know this. And also understand what you want from bitcoin either investing or transactions or even both. I believe crypto-currency should be properly learnt and not just a passive knowledge.

Hello everyone,

I am trying to learn about Bitcoin and Crypto, so some guidance would be great. Can anyone recommend where I should start or things I should read or watch etc.

Thank you

As we all know that learning is a continuous process as long as humans still exist on earth. No one is above it be it an old man or a youth. It is nice you inquired about what you want to know in this platform and come to talk of it, it seems you are new here so you would need to be guided by those whom have been through the system already.
I would advise that you do a proper research on blockchain so as to gain a clean knowledge on what it is all about then secondly Crypto currency so you could gain a broader understanding on how it works. Knowing the basic fundamentals would guide you through before going into trading and buying of tokens and coin for holding as investment.

You can go online in search for guidelines as there are lots of article and published works in blockchain and Crypto currency. Also, there are lots of YouTube channels and documentaries to watch so as to gain knowledge on the evolution of blockchain and Crypto currency. I think this little piece of information can guide you through.

Nice links. A full course must have all the information that he needed and there is no need for him to look on other sources because a lot of those are just incomplete or sometimes they are not free. What is even better on the link you shared is that it's a video based explanation so which means it's more easier to understand than those traditional books or online articles where the only way to learn is by reading them manually.

OP is a good example and all the newbies that are planning to enter cryptos must follow him. Not that they will just jump into the water quickly, causing them to drown (lose). What's worse is that they will blame cryptos and call it as a scam.

Hello everyone,

I am trying to learn about Bitcoin and Crypto, so some guidance would be great. Can anyone recommend where I should start or things I should read or watch etc.

Thank you

I will suggest you to start learning about bitcoin and cryptocurrency through the YouTube videos. Many free course videos are available online which can teach you from the start to the expert level. Maybe people will suggest you learn by paying money but I think learning freely from the internet is a better option.
Also, you have this forum where you can ask any query about which you have confusion and a lot of people will guide you here too.

Actually, there are many benefits, uses and how crypto works depending on which one you want to learn.

from my personal experience, if you want to learn about crypto and bitcoin to invest or trade the first thing you should know is what is cryptocurrency or bitcoin then how does crypto work and choose the best and trusted cryptocurrency trading platform.

if you already know about crypto you have to learn to analyze the price and volume of buying and selling crypto assets that you will buy, placing the right price position is no less important in buying crypto.

Welcome to the forum op;

When I was new in crypto, I was curious and wanting books to read, videos to watch, but immediately I joined this forum, my curiosity stopped. I want to assure you that you are sitting on any information you want as long as you are in this forum. Even without being curious and make yourself available in this forum, reading in bitcoin discussion board, beginners and help board, Technical discussion board, you will see yourself grow in less than 3 months. Then if you want to take your game higher, consider using search tool to search this forum for answers. Virtually everything you can think of has been discussed here.

This is not good advice. There’s a lot of misinformation on here and when you’re just getting started it’s hard to know who actually knows what they are talking about. Reading books and watching videos by well known proven experts is not something to avoid just because of this website.

Be very careful with where you get your information from when trying to educate yourself on bitcoin. Even on this website WELL over half the people here don’t have a clue what they are talking about, so always take everything with a grain of salt and research research research.

The person I would argue is the very best to learn from, who absolutely knows what he’s talking about and is easily one of the most knowledgeable bitcoin experts on the planet is Andreas Antonopoulos. He wrote “mastering bitcoin” as well as several other books. He’s got countless educational videos on YouTube. Start from his earlier ones. He really does a great job of explaining it on a level anyone can understand. His page - https://youtube.com/c/aantonop

For me, i started my crypto journey by asking google anything I do not understand and need to, I always found myself typing "How to", "How Can I", "What is", "Where can I" etc on google search box, the list is endless, but then i learnt a lot, and to even make it more interesting, that was how I found this forum, yeah, I never knew a forum like this existed when I started crypto, I got here through google.

@OP, I believe that there is absolutely nothing related to Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general that hasn't been discussed on this forum, on this note, i believe this forum is one of the best places to start learning all that is there learn about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, you can always use the search function on the forum, in time where you didn't find what you are looking for through the search function, you can ask a question or simply use google to find some other sites that have the answer to what you are looking for.

Hi mate.
Welcome to the crypto industry.
Honestly, I appreciate more this kind of person who is asking about how to learn about cryptocurrency as basic questions, not how to earn money in crypto (money orientation at first before knowing anything about crypto),
Btw, these sources may help you.

Hello,
this is also same with me when I firstly wanted to know about the crypto world.
I commonly will learn from:
- Friends' sharing about Bitcoin especially, and generally about crypto. having talks with friends really made me know more about crypto easily than reading.
Actually, everybody has different style to learn crypto, And for me I prefer to choose from the discussion with other people, including in this forum.
But if you want to learn more about crypto again, you may find them on some channels on Youtube by searching the keyword for Cryptocurrency knowledge for beginner courses and others. There are many sources on Youtube and also Google. You may also read more on Binance Academy, Coinbase news, and also other platforms such as COintelegraph.

an interesting topic. I think it's very much about how to learn to invest in bitcoin and altcoins, and it can be done online or offline. and if online you can also read through google and so on. can also through YouTube and so on. if you go offline, you can also ask people who are successful in investing in crypto. and if in my experience you have to be smart when buying and wait for a good moment. and also if you buy crypto, you should choose crypto that is quality and high volume.

If you want to learn cryptocurrency especially bitcoin and because I know very well that we have different kind of Bitcoin cryptocurrency that matter so we have altcoin to have their father in Bitcoin so learning all this thing's is through YouTube is where you can get a valid and free education of cryptocurrency nobody can learn cryptocurrency through class but through observation and the true research is what educate many people or how to operate on cryptocurrency so the best place to learn cryptocurrency is through YouTube channel video where you will understand what people is all about and in the technology behind cryptocurrency

Hello everyone,

I am trying to learn about Bitcoin and Crypto, so some guidance would be great. Can anyone recommend where I should start or things I should read or watch etc.

Hello KHarty! Welcome to the forum!

There are many free online courses that covers all the fundamentals of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, but I have read that the best way to learn is by actually using these currencies and understanding how they work.

Crypto is a very broad topic, from the most basic of Bitcoin skills, through to more advanced uses such as decentralized applications and sidechains. Even if you're a total beginner, it would be a good idea to spend a few minutes going through everything you need to know to better understand this new and exciting technology. Depending on what exactly you want to learn, I can point you to some resources. Youtube has a ton of video tutorials, but be warned that they are a lot of amateur made (and poorly made). I would also recommend reading any of the free information and guides that can be found online such as howto guides, blogs, books and whatnot. You can spend a few minutes reading about the concept of Bitcoin, about the underlying cryptographic protocol that will underpin all of your future interactions with Bitcoin. The more knowledge you have about how Bitcoin actually works, the more depth you'll be able to delve into with other topics like blockchains and the best case scenarios of this technology.
