Finally i've got a ledger nano S and i'm happy with it
Doesn't have an extensive list of supported coins like the Trezor, but they do tend to support the bitcoin forks at least.

and it's certainly a longer list than Trezor!

I've got the Ledger Nano S, it's simple to use and the build quality is excellent.

Love ledger cos it gives me the freedom to store alts.
Ledger better for alts and looks nicer. Nobrainer for me but shipping to INDIA is very expensive
Do a research on which one would best suit your needs. I preferred Ledger though over Trezor because Ledger has the coins I needed to store that Trezor doesn't have. And it works perfectly fine too on my end, no issues at all so far.
OK, thanks a lot for your advice. I think my choice will be ledger because they support more altcoins, Ledger is the better option for me finally and the cheapest.
Anyway, after digging around the Trezor site for some time, I couldn't find the list of altcoins supported. Anybody have it? How engaged is either company in adding shitcoins? The more the merrier!

I honestly have no idea what that user is talking about... I'm using Ledger Nano S right now and I'm not satisfied. The build quality is terrible. The device scratched easily even though it was laying on my desk all the time.
I carry mine around all the time, chuck it in my bag, carry it in my pocket... looks brand new. I have both the Trezor One and the Ledger Nano S... they're both great. I have no real complaints about either.
Both wallets are great if you only plan to store Bitcoin and a couple other top currencies. But if you have quite some altcoins, Ledger is the better option to buy, they support more altcoins and the implementation of a coin for the developers is much easier. Although I've heard that could change with the Trezor 2.

I read through the threads, still unsure about a few things. One of the main reasons I'm considering a hardware wallet is for secure altcoin storage without putting my PCs at risk dealing with all the wallets. I found a comprehensive list for the Ledger Nano S / Blue (the other models seem to only work with BTC/BCH) and I'm not thrilled with the support but it does have a few low/mid caps I need. Hopefully the list keeps growing.

It sounds like the only difference for the Trezor T are touchscreen display and a USB-C port, right? Doesn't seem like it would make or break the decision between Ledger vs. Trezor.
