Roma really needs to raise some funds one way or another. This is the only way to build a better squad otherwise they will continue to struggle in debt.  Sad

The current squad is still enough to play big in the Europa League maybe. But qualifying for the Champions League must be their main target at this very moment. They couldn't do it with Mourinho and I doubt they will now also. I hope that Roma will use their funds as effective as possible this summer. Even if they manage to finish this season in top 4 they still had better do it. Because a stronger squad would be needed for the CL too.

tomorrow there will be one of the most hotly contested derbies in Italy, Roma Lazio
it is usually a very heartfelt and hard-fought match regardless of the position in the championship
in the end they are from the same city and they want to please their fans there is a bit of healthy competition

Inter and Milan fans are really different than the fans of other teams in this league truthfully. It feels like these 2 teams have the best fans who are preparing great choreographies for especially big matches.  Smiley  I really love to watch the matches between these teams in every season also. It is really heated because of an eternal rivalry between.

They are bonding with their players a lot also. For example Hakan Çalhanoğlu's leaving Milan to join Inter made the fans very disappointed and they showed a big reaction to that.

Losing one of your best playes to your rival could be the worst thing really.  Sad

The rivalry between Milan and Inter has very deep roots, just think that Inter was born at the hands of former Milan managers who did not get along with their president. They are two of the most important teams in Italy but also in Europe. Every derby is a unique and inimitable spectacle both on the pitch and in the stands, I think that every time there is a competition for who can display the best choreography in the stands, moreover it is a match seen practically all over the world because the fans are scattered around the globe and therefore seen by millions of viewers

Yeah man!!! This year Juventus wants to make you worry seriously Grin Anyway it's a very important victory the one last night against Lazio, because Juventus is officially the first qualifier for the next Italian Supercup, the second is decided this evening between Fiorentina and Atalanta, the third although not official for the moment is Inter and the fourth most likely will be Milan. So the next Super Cup will consist of Juventus Inter Milan and one between Atalanta and Fiorentina. Aren't you happy?  Grin

the fact that I don't support any particular team allows me to laugh when these things happen
I like Atalanta for the style and philosophy they have, but I also allow myself to not care given that mine is not a die-hard supporter but a simple sympathy for their strength and ethics
After all, I really laugh out loud

I am an Inter fan, but I have great respect for sports fans who do not have a particular team at heart. They support the sport regardless of the teams on the field, and that should be the case for everyone, but in my case supporting Inter is above all a choice of life, not if you have ever heard the term 'Interism' https://www.fcinternews.it/editoriale/interismo-170109 And as the article itself says, Interism is like a virus Grin

No matter how many times Roma changes coaches and they don't sell out some players, their performance will always be subpar. I don't think there is a problem with the Roma coach; after he takes over, the team performs well for two to three games before faltering once more. From that point on, I realised that the coach is not to blame for the team's poor performance; if you watch the team perform and the way the players play on the field, you will also realise that Roma needs to sell out some players.

Roma's season-ending performance in the Europa League will be greatly disappointing, as their primary goal was to qualify for the Champions League the following year, which is why they changed coaches this season. Despite this setback, they will still be disappointed. My only recommendation for Roma would be to simply sell some of the squad's underperforming players.

In fact, regarding AS Roma financial problems, there is no need to do much because Thomas Dan Friedkin the owner of AS Roma is also billionaire who has enormous wealth, plus previously there were many rumors saying that AS Roma had an investment offer from Saudi.
All of this will clearly make things easier for AS Roma and they are unlikely to have problems related to debt, but there is no clarity regarding all of this whether an agreement has actually occurred or not.
Moreover, AS Roma has not shown satisfactory achievements such as winning championship title, this may be one of the reasons why the owner of AS Roma is not very generous in spending money on the team he owns.

If this season AS Roma can qualify for the UCL next season then I sure it will be easier and easier to overcome financial problems because the owner of AS Roma will definitely do anything including spending large amounts of money for the development of AS Roma.
But it looks like they won't be able to qualify for the UCL next season and the only thing left is the Europa League, conditions like this will be the same as last season.
It will be very difficult for AS Roma to reach the top 4 rankings this season, and not to mention if there is change of coach again, that will make AS Roma condition less stable and consistent.

It doesn't look like Napoli will be able to reach top 4 this season. Is there anyone who still believes in them to do this now?

This would have really negative consequences for this team truthfully. Like not being able to prevent some of their valuable players from leaving this summer already.  Sad  Napoli were already not a consistent title contender before though. Only the last season was like a dream for them thanks to Spalletti. This was what motivated their best players to stay longer.

However now players like Osimhen, Kvaratskhelia could seriously think about leaving... No Champions League means no success for them of course.

After today's 0-3 defeat in favour of Atalanta I believe that any chance for Napoli to reach fourth place is now gone, there are now 8 days left to the end of the championship and currently Napoli is -9 from Bologna who still have to play. Difficult that they can do it, the only and last chance remains only if the teams involved in European competitions go deeper in the competitions, so Napoli must cheer for Atalanta Milan Roma and Fiorentina and hope that at least 3 of them go as deep as possible in the Europa League and conference league, so as to get the fifth slot for the next Champions League, but Napoli obviously must not lose any more points on the road

It was definitely a very bad loss for Napoli. They should have done better. Actually, they should have won. If they were at all serious about defending the title successfully or even just finishing in the Champions League position, they should have performed well since the beginning of the season. At this point, I do not think their not losing any matches is going to affect the standing too much. Because they will have to win every match consistently. After that maybe they will have a chance to finish towards the top. And I really believe that the problems that they had created for themselves already, it is going to be almost impossible for them to get out of this situation.
The crushing defeat experienced by Napoli at home was quite embarrassing and certainly very disappointing for Napoli fans who watched the match live, even though Napoli should have played better to at least get one point rather than having to suffer a defeat at home like this, indeed against Napoli. in that match it was not easy because they were fighting for UCL places and Atalanta did well even though they were playing away. It seems like there is no chance for Napoli to get a UCL spot next season because they are already quite far behind.

I feel like they have been "decent" in any case, maybe they are not as good as when the manager first came in, but they are not as bad as Mourinhos last moments neither. I think the problem is not with players or the manager or the management, it is the fact that Roma is a club that is this big, they could make some amazing moves and get lucky and have a year like Napolis last year and luckily get a title one day maybe, but lets be honest their size is this big and they have never been "best team in the league" type of team ever, even back in Totti days.

Now that I said Totti, I wish he became a great manager so he could take Roma to a title, that would be so fun to watch. All in all, it's like expecting Brighton to win the premier league, could happen, but VERY unlikely.

Juventus must remain focused and not be too carried away by the victory in this first leg, even though they have won 2 - 0, that doesn't mean that Lazio won't respond in the second leg, everything is full of surprises and it might be difficult for Lazio to win big, but this is the test for Juventus, they have to focusing on their two important goals now, focusing on finishing in the top four and getting a UCL ticket next season as well as winning the Coppa Italia title because that is important considering their failure in the hunt for the Italian league title this season where it is likely that Inter Milan will become champions.

Recently, Juventus have not been playing well and from their last few matches, it is clear that Allegri is in danger of being fired if he fails to get Juventus back on their feet because that will prevent Juventus from finishing in the top four because he could be eliminated because Bologna is very close to Juventus, they are only a few points apart and Juventus must be able to improve the results of the next match by being on the winning track because that is important to maintain their position in the top four and finish getting a UCL ticket and also win the Coppa Italia title this season.
A 2 goal win in the first leg should make Juventus confident enough to look at the second leg later even though it is still possible for Lazio to turn things around but this is a small percentage, in football anything is possible and surprises often happen but we also have to see something realistic with large or small percentages.

Currently Juventsu's focus is very divided with the problem of their performance not getting better making everything look difficult, Juventus must maximize in order to win the Coppa Italia trophy, that is the only trophy that allows them to achieve this season, but in Serie A they also have to focus because they it is still not safe to finish in the top 4, this will be very difficult for Juventus.

However, with this 2-0 win, it is very possible that it could also be a turning point for the Juventus players to restore their confidence and improve their performance like at the start of the season We'll see in the next match because I think the overall quality of the Juventus team is quite capable as they showed at the start of the season.

Such a convincing win by Juventus in the Coppa Italia.  Smiley  They really had a solid dominance unlike their last rendezvous with Lazio. It looks like Allegri has prepared his players very well for this one. In the end they don't have any chance for the Serie A title this season so they had better focus on the Coppa Italia title. There is no Inter here now so Juventus had better take advantage of it.  Grin

Juventus could have even got a bigger win than 2-0. But this should be enough to get past Lazio. Is there anyone who believes the tide will turn to Lazio? I don't give it much chance truthfully.

Three Juventus talking points from 1-0 loss against Lazio: Allegri out?

Quote
Allegri out?
Last but certainly not least. What does Juventus’ defeat in Rome mean for Allegri? The Tuscan tactician’s contract runs out in June 2025, but he’s been under severe pressure across the last two months, securing just one win in nine matches and collecting seven points. Wojciech Szczęsny admitted that Juventus players may have lost motivation following their loss to Inter in February, practically ending their title hopes. Clearly, Allegri has been unable to pass on his ideas to the team in the second part of the campaign, not only to the most experienced players but also to the youngest members of the team, which is perhaps even more worrying. At the moment, Juventus are still in the top four. Therefore Allegri hasn’t failed to reach the main target of the season. However, such a poor run of results should be an alarm bell for Juventus’ directors. The feeling is that Allegri can’t achieve more with this group of players, who seem to have run out of energy despite playing just two competitions. Allegri seems tired and players look exhausted, so even if the Bianconeri qualify for the Champions League, the club should be aiming for a fresh start in 2024-25.

Source: https://football-italia.net/three-juventus-talking-points-from-1-0-loss-against-lazio-allegri-out/

The truth is that it wouldn't seem right to me that they took Allegri out, he has always been there, I think it's like a gesture of bad gratitude on the part of the team if they throw him out.

Last week I still had confidence that Allegri would stay with Juve at least until the end of this season.
But with Bologna getting closer with a difference of only 2 points now and Juve only able to win 1 time in the last 9 games = Allegri must out.
It is better to choose a temporary caretaker as Juve manager until the end of the season.
I only have 1 candidate for Juve Manager next season, Thiago Motta.

Well, sometimes we are people who are judging very quickly and we can say that things can cause other reactions, for example when we are looking for culprits, not only Allegri is the culprit, but also the players, because if their legs don't respond, If they don't run as they should, if they don't do their job well, it's very easy to blame the coaches, that's the most common thing, sometimes a good coach can do the best job of all, but if the players don't respond, then things They will always be like this, I have seen Juve's games, and I think that the players are lowering their level, I don't know, sometimes I see them slow, their defense I don't see it well, if I can see the scheme of an Allegri who is offensive, but the players' legs don't work, that's something we have to see.

Allegri: Important for Juventus to get back to winning ways

Quote
Juventus’ recent barren run capped off by a defeat at Lazio on Saturday has heaped a lot of pressure on coach Massimiliano Allegri. At halftime in tonight’s first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final against the same opponent from the weekend, the jeers aimed at the coach and team seemed quite apt for a side that appears to have lost their way in recent weeks.

However, the players came out fired up from the break and were able to bag two goals while maintaining a recently-rare clean sheet to take a two-goal lead back to Rome in three weeks, with a spot in the final at stake.

Speaking after the game, the coach started off with questions about the offside call that wiped away an early Juve penalty that could have changed the complexion of the contest.

“The decisions of the referee and VAR are to be respected, so there’s no point debating it.

“The important thing was to get back to winning ways, even if the Coppa Italia is a different tournament to Serie A. The first half was very balanced, we accelerated in the second half, got two goals against a very strong Lazio side, but it’s not over and we must do well in the second leg too.”

Roma management, which in my opinion was late in making the decision to fire Mourinho, this is one of the reasons why Roma may not be able to go to UCL next season, as well as the surprise of Bologna, who has greate performance this season. Even though Roma previously targeted to qualify for the UCL, with current point gap it will be hard i guess, Roma able to perform well since De Rossi became coach, I think qualifying for the UEL could be a success for AS Roma. Well, the chance for Roma to UCL still open, because we have several matches till end of season.

Roma really disappointed me today. I had a bet placed on their win as I thought they wouldn't make a simple mistake while they were in top 4 race. Bologna also won you know.

Zalewski and Lukaku had a really poor game. Dybala entered quite late which was due to recovering from his injury new I guess. If he played much longer than only 7 minutes then maybe he could have been a game changer...

What do you think about De Rossi's future? Would Roma still extend with him even if he doesn't manage to make it to the Champions League? I don't have positive feelings about that for now...  Sad

It's undoubtedly a bad situation for Juventus, but they keep losing points on the road and now they have to watch out for fourth place as well because Bologna are travelling at full speed and are only -2 points behind Juventus. Whether Allegri or the players are to blame at the moment matters little, they need to wake up or they may experience conference league drama if they continue at this rate.

yes but I dont understand what game they play to my beloved team, they won against Lazio in the Italian cup, but couldnt win in the championship?

I honestly dont know what to think, it all seems so absurd and stupid, some heads must roll, in this case is needed

what a bad situation for everyone
as Inters pursuers at risk with their place in the Champions League, it is not good at all
but I dont blame Max Allegri, he is a good coach, there has been a lot of bad luck in these two years, and a lot of injuries
plus the punishment of not playing the cups, in short, a bad time

but the night end.. and sun return back

Juventus has arrived at the situation of being an inconsistent and unreliable team: if in the Italian Cup they win with a team that loses in the Championship it means that their performances are fluctuating and guided by chance and not by a strategy: in practice they are skipping everything in the air.

Maybe it would be better to get another coach immediately or they risk the cup zone.
