Escrow don't write message only to one side of transaction.. It is must to be in contact with both sides of deal.
Only when someone is lazy and don't ask escrow for confirmation can follow into this trap.

It was the fake link inside of that quote which went to an image that appears to look like monbux's thread with a different BTC address to send the funds to.
If everyone would stop buying and selling accounts we would all have a much lower chance of getting scammed.
Well, it's not against forum rules, because then it would just be harder to track sales of them via the trust system. People sell accounts all the time, so it's not likely going to stop anytime soon, sadly.

How did you find out it is a faked escrow? Did you contact the Escrow directly?
Seriously, don't have a deal with someone who just quoted a PM from a trusted member of this forum. Don't be lazy and go contact that certain escrow to confirm if the seller really did contact him/her. Scammers are becoming more and more smart as time passes by. Good thing that the buyer didn't fall into OP's trap.

I can bet this is a completely fake auction. no one will sell his 40+ default trust account just for 0.25 to 1btc. it is just bulshit thread posted by a brand new to ruin someone's trust level.. and after selling the account the trust will not be 40+ anymore..
