I must say, it's nice to see some of the "legendary" posters come out to play! I'm very much a lurker here and when I see some of the old names posting...well, it makes me think there really IS a moon shot just around the corner  Grin
Keep on truckin friends, a few hundred $ one way or another surely seems like a drop in the bucket these days. BTC is most DEF on its way...HODL=WIN!
 Cool

See someone used one of their silent alts that has been trolling the forums as long as us Legends ^^
Pretty sure most are at forum.bitcoin still although its not advertised much for cleanliness reasons ha-ha.
(Also woke cause my damn txt took to long on the chain so doing a catch-up for the month then napping in April personally)

And Mircea will always be #1 for trolling in a classy way although I do miss Dank.

 Grin Cheesy Wink

LMAO...alts? who? me? hehe

Legendary is a fairly devalued currency these days. I'm a legend and I've only been here three and a bit years. Perhaps there should be an extra status for people with an ultra low UID.

A while back, didn't somebody suggest creating a new level called "Epic" for those with over 1500 activity points?
I might have put in my two cents when it was asked months ago what should the next level of rank should be labelled as and i said Epic.
But only once the new forum comes online whenever that would be. Embarrassed

Rank won't make any income and any potential for your account. You need to be personally skillful in any prospects. Example if you good in signature designing you can a thread in the concern section and start and add your skill reference including it that. Please check in service discussion to know the skillful person who can help in your needed prospects. Then trading and investment part of your skill in make to you receive more trust under your account to reputation on it.

But I'd be an epic soon enough and I certainly don't consider myself a salty old sea dog. UID or sign up date might be a better metric to make others tremble at our feet.

At least it's not based on post count.

Lambie would be at the top of the heap. Move over Adam.  Grin

Kwuckduck is just holding ad making weak hands sell so that de be destroyed. Not good.
Shmuckyduck sold out at $10 coins and has been on a suicide mission of FUD ever since he got locked in the dustbin of crypto history.

Many of the real old timers have probably either left in disgust after it stopped being an underground happening, or looked elsewhere for a better standard of discussion.

I can't believe I'm the first "legendary" to post in this thread.

I used parentheses because I still consider myself a latecomer. I didn't learn about Bitcoin until long after the Great Bitcoin Bubble of 2011.

Having experienced the 2 bubbles of 2013 and subsequent lesser bubbles, I've learned to not get panicky, buy the dips and above all, hold on tight. In Bitcoinland what goes down will eventually come up.

Being legendary doesn't mean much now anyway. There are many legendaries who didn't join until after MtGox imploded. There are also many real early adopters who haven't posted regularly enough to acquire legendary status.

That said, I agree with the OP that it's nice to see some old timers come out of the woodwork during these exciting times, even unrepentant trolls like Proudhon. Maybe some day we'll get nostalgic about Kwukduck.  Cheesy

It is nice to see older members still posting, but that's got absolutely nothing to do with how bitcoin is doing.

Personally I think a lot of oldies left this site after seeing how frigging toxic it's become with spam and scams.  People from all different countries should not come together on an English language chat board, that's my opinion.  I'd say 80% of the posts on here aren't worth reading AT ALL.

I absolutely agree that the site has become pretty shoddy reading and has gone downhill as far as useful information. But, do you really think that all the old timers speaking up just as our beloved BTC is reaching new (non gox-fudged) prices is simply coincidence? Somehow I doubt that. Don't wanna get into a big thing here, just trying to point out a little bit of what I perceive to be a good sign. Just my opinion, of course. The way I see it is, if any of us can soak up some of that Jedi-Wisdom from the people who understand it best, as they have been there from the jump, it certainly can't be a bad thing. I for one am VERY happy I paid attention in the early days. I owe much to this community! Gonna go play with my trezor now and laugh all the way..well...not to the BANK I guess LOL  Grin
 Peace, my friend

Yeah, I think it takes quite unusual times to flush old school HODLers out and the new ATH/Gold Parity/ETF possibility was enough to get people wanting a second opinion from other old timers. We even got a comment from proudhon!

 ^^ this guy...this guy gets it^^    Cool

Yep, I'm also HODLing for the last 5 years or so....
It's funny to see people panicking when bitcoin has it's bigish fluctuations.

I don't think you will easily flush out HODLers that have gone through the last two bubbles.
We know Bitcoin is here to stay and we are already in the winning position no matter.
You can only flush us out by pushing the 10k/btc boundary  Cool

As I see it, having Bitcoin is like having a lottery ticket only with better odds Smiley.

What about an hard fork that can ruin the price ? Vinny Lingham sold his coins.

who care about what other do, only you decide with your coins, don't fall for another "bitcoin is dead" man, it's just a trap, nothing bad will happen after the fork the strongest chain will win, and your coin will hold the same value, basically the weak chain will be an altcoin and that's it

If you are a get-rich-quick speculator: Sell your coins before any contentious hard fork. Markets don't like uncertainty.

If you are a Bitcoiner who cares about the future of Bitcoin: Your existing coins (which will exist on both sides of a contentious hard fork) are you only real vote when it comes to choosing the future of Bitcoin. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/you-have-a-choice-if-you-control-pre-fork-bitcoins-1076412

I hope to reach legendary myself someday, I've been on this forum for years, posted quite a bit and learned a lot, and it's going to be great holding bitcoins from now on. After the ETF rejection im convinced we are unstoppable.
