Most of the coins on coined up are total cloned shit. What do you expect ? People are not that dumb.

You sure about that? Fuckcoin, Dogecoin, Kittehcoin... Grin. These are hardly geniuses who invest in these coins.

I think doge did a good job. It brought so many new fans to this crypto world, although I sold all doges in 2 digits.

From my observations the mass of coin releases happen during the holiday season. Specifically the high school/college holidays. It happened back during spring break in 2013 and just recently the Christmas break. I suppose if we see an influx of new coins during reading week then we'll know who is making them.

The market has become saturated. Why these coins are even needed is beyond me. All your doing is allowing the devs to make money off you. Just stop mining or dealing with these crap coins and they'll soon fizzle out.

I stopped trading all these scam coins once I figured alts out...

I then just looked at the top market cap cryptos and figured out which had the lowest daily NEW supply of coins because this means it's scarcity is increasing relative to demand and it's price will be harder to go down.

This led me to many coins that were almost done mining and were entering a supply demand market that more similarly modeled real currencies rather than the currencies where miners dumped all their coins.

Zeta, quark, IFC are the ones I chose for stability. Now they just have to develop.

at least that's my investment strategy.

Number of coins that comes out is waaayyy smaller than one month ago? Dry period or what?

Any thoughts?

 Kiss

I think the new coins will keep flowing like the beer flows at Hooters.

One fascinating aspect to consider is the fact that consumers are drawn more to the social value of coins rather than the underlying technical achievements. Look how long gold was used throughout history, and it's pretty basic. As coins continue to be cranked out I think the ones that manage to build the largest and most robust communities will become the ultimate victors.

Don't get me wrong, the technical side is important. But for the most part the consumer just wants a cool currency and works.

i won't say it's coming less coins, it's just that they die away quicker and less people notice them Tongue

LOL the last new coin I really mined was earthcoin... and even then I gave up right off the start due to it being broke right out of the gate.

I am all for alt coins, but a lot of the problem is many of them recently have no real thought put into them. Add into the fact LTC is better right now, many are focused on mining that.

With that said I tend to stick to those coins that usually hang in the top of the pack... not right on top, for the multipools just fuck whatever coin is there and then dump the shit out of it and while doing that making the dif rocket. I think multipools hurt more than help specailly with the number there are atm.... leaving those of us who usually are loyal to a few coins, not much to have besides knowing we are doing our part trying to keep the chain safe with our hash.

demand died out as every coin that comes out fails to gain value and multipools dump it to oblivion. Investors have become very selective on which coins to buy

I REALLY hope this is the case - it's downright damaging to have 10 billion new coins flood the market bringing nothing but empty promises - I feel SO sorry for all of the noobs that invested in crap coin after crap coin ending up with horrific losses all round.  Cry

Thank god.

I think nowadays everyone knows that we have too many coins.. Let's make the reliable coins stable now and let the rest die.

Just simple old scrypt clones almost have no use...
Scrypt-Jane algo coins requires hiring/knowledge to make it working.  Also its had to interest hash power among existing on trades coins, same with CPU coins... SO...

You have no choice but first bribe/buy place on exchanges, and only after that annoince coins fo success.
