I don't think it's possible now because bitcoin has broken his all the records it made in past and now it's value is very high also i don't think it will go below 400$ this year or next one.

$100 is a little bit impossible rightnow since the last dump the lower price is around $800 and i doubt a lot of people want bitcoin to ever hit that price again. Maybe with the current situation setting the buying price at $1000 is more logical than $100.

We cannot deny that fact that bitcoins price will no longer go back to 100$ and if you wait for that value to return you will just end up waiting for nothing. The only profit you will earn from waiting is regret and so if you have the chance to invest in bitcoins today then do it now and not wait for tomorrow. The main reason why we must buy bitcoin now is because the price tomorrow may be higher than it is today.

Well, if that price will show up again, we need to evaluate first if it's still good to buy, we do not know what will be the market that time so we cannot just say we will buy and expect the price will rise again.

I hope so because I do not want to see that price again, I'm happy with the current price and the price movement which seems it will continue to increase and will hit the all time high. Only if there is a bad news where we will see the price to abruptly fall.

If you think it won't, think again. The current rally of Bitcoin is somehow surprising, it raises its price to fast forming somehow a mini bubble. There is a reason for this and that is the ETF incoming decision. But if ever ETF is disapproved, then there is a possible reason for Bitcoin price to go down. As I mention earlier, the current increase of price of Bitcoin is forming a bubble, if this bubble burst then we can see a sudden decline of price of Bitcoin.

If there is no major flow in the bitcoin the price will not go that low.

Still, that could happen any moment now and any day, although the chances are low. You need to keep in mind the risks with everything. It's unlikely that any event would bring bitcoin to such a low, and even if it did go so low it'd just be bought right back up.

I am sure that the price will not fall so low. There is no reason for this to happen. Bitcoin has already reached the point below which it is unlikely to cost. I do not believe that Bitcoin can be bought so cheap and do not expect this

This thread has proven prophetic the OP got it wrong since bitcoin will probably never touch that price again but almost everyone else in this thread got it right by predicting bitcoin will probably never reach that price again, so kudos to all of us that got our predictions right since that means that we made some money with out predictions.

Bitcoin is too big this time to fail that would go down to $100. The late adopters of Bitcoin who bought at about $700 is going to cry a river. But now that BTC has been known already and being used by huge companies, there's no possible reason for the price to drop down to a hundred.

But I wonder if that segwit can really affect miners and btc price will gradually decline, which coin do you think will replace it?

Even today, nobody on their right mind will sell their bitcoins at 100$ each. Only stupid people will do that. As for normal people using their common sense they already know that it will not go back to 100$ each and if they will not buy now they will suffer buying it on a much more higher price. So the best time to buy bitcoins is now and dont wait for tomorrow since bitcoin is always increasing and you will regret it if you dont grab the opportunity today.

When bitcoin fell from $1200 to $200 over the course of a few years, was there something wrong with it? It essentially was unchanged, the only thing that changed was everyone's perception of it. There was nothing "wrong" with bitcoin, it was just a case of the bubble popping. I'm not unconvinced that the current $950 price level isn't another bubble, so I wouldn't be surprised to see the price collapse again. (Hoping not, but wouldn't be surprised still if it did.) That wouldn't necessarily signal anything is wrong with bitcoin if the price crashed again, it would just indicate that everyone once again got carried away with their expectations for the currency and its value.

You cannot compare the events when bitcoin fell from $1200 to $200 because it was definitly a bubble and the liquidity during that time to hold the price from falling was really low and now things have changed and more people are using bitcoin and more people are investing in this and so the price to drop down like that is really impossible at the moment.

More people are using it to gamble by speculating on it, or using it as a medium to gamble to get around country controls, but that isn't using it as a currency. It dropped 20% in a day after it reached $1100 again, and anything that drops that far that fast suggests we were in bubble territory. And we probably still are. Large traders are just milking the bounces right now for all they can, but I would not be surprised if it continues a clunky decline over the next month. Disappointed, but it surprised.
