I'll buy at anything below 100$. Bitcoin's nature is the future of currencies, can't be duped and the transfers time is just too quick.

If you believe Bitcoin is the future of currencies, why wait till it goes to below $100?  Wink
Now might be as good a time to buy as any other time.

$100 is actually a good point, because this would be like minimizing loss if suddenly bitcoin crash, there isnt a guarantee that bitcoin will have a value in the future, so stocking them up now at the range of 240$ would be pretty risky
some people might be a believer, some might be a trader, those who believe bitcoin will rise has been stocking them little by little in either cold wallet or paper wallet

Not me atleast as when the bitcoin price does reach $100, I don't think it will be worth trading in bitcoins at least for me. I don't want it to reach even $200 as it would be a huge loss for me if I buy it now for $240-$250 but I can expect it to reach $200 looking at the current decline.

Waiting for too long and for a too low price isn't a good strategy if you want to increase your holdings in btc. If you're planning to hold on for a long time, then averaging the prices might be good to settle your coins. The markets are a rapid-changing environment; different trends come and go--sometimes within a blink of an eye. So waiting for such a low price might be another opportunity missed, if you might ask me.

I highly doubt that the price of a bitcoin will drop to $100. If it does, then I am sure many will fear that the price is going to drop further, and would abandon bitcoin. For some, this would be the point to buy as much as possible, and hope that it would rise again.

I was going to buy half a bitcoin from Mt. Gox when it was almost $1k. I feel glad that I my application was rejected, otherwise I would have lost quite some money (it's a lot for me, okay?), due to their problems.

But anyways, if the time actually comes when it hits $100, I would wait until it starts to rise just a bit, to be sure that it wouldn't just flop. Then I'd buy some. Not too many, because I don't want to lose too much if something bad happens.

to be honest I am waiting for 1000$ not 100$

Many early adapters substations would be like this only. Newbies alone want lower price to get into. But NO logic for the price of $100, when considering present production cost. But who knows?

I got a question for the ones that is waiting for $100/BTC..
what would you guys do if the price dropped approx $2 a day until it hits $100? will you still buy it?  Grin

Then no I wouldn't buy then. I would wait until it corrected itself and buy when it starts going back up.

Well if bitcoin eventually wind up in that mark then most of us will probably lose the interest on bitcoin, at least I will. But there will always be some hopeful buyer. Smiley

It will be all over the news worldwide if it happens to reach $100 level. Media loves to cover bad news related to Bitcoin.

I would definitely use that opportunity to buy as many as I can. Am I then considered a hopeful buyer? Or a smart buyer  Wink

Let's cut the crap. Most of us are just waiting for Bitcoin to finally hit $100 to buy a huge quantity. Am I right or talking out my ass?

Most of us here are buying and selling. There is no need to wait for 100 as there has been big enough swings to keep making large profits.
But every time you sell you take an huge risk since at this point the next rally to Mt Moon could happen when least expected.

The bitcoin swings are so nice that there is a good amount of profit to be made right now. Why wait till it hits 100? It might never get there.

Good luck is all I have to say. If it does hit one hundred a coin, I imagine before it hits that point, people will go around buying in bulk as much as they can. Will probably increase the price before it can hit that low of a point. Looking at current trends, I doubt it will ever go that low. At 200ish, was the time to buy. Small profits at this point, but it will increase in the future being at such a low point.

This professional financial advice brought to you by Gyfts. Seriously, we should tell the other millions of investors in the world that Gyfts says the bull market is in!

Actually in my case 100$ is still too much per coin as investment. Basically I know that I missed this train and looking for another one.
And, although people tell that there's only one coin, I have hopes that some of the altcoins will rise.

can you explain why $100 is still too much according to you?
i get the impression that you are just waiting to get on board for a very low price. eventhough it seems not realistic.

If you can afford to buy a high risk coin at 100$ or 200$ a piece, great for you.
Unfortunately I don't live in USA and I am not that rich.
I believe in Bitcoin as technology. As asset I am not sure it will "make me rich".
I buy altcoins at prices of under 1$/piece. If I am lucky and one or two of those gets "to the moon", that will do for me.
You know, different people, different dreams.

PS. Sorry for such late response, but both my kids were sick.
