Just like Ethereum Neo is a safe coin for long term investment. For almost 1.5 year the price of NEO has been at a very low point. Remember NEO's peak at $190 in 2018?
Is https://github.com/neo-project the official github account from NEO? I'm not very familiar with github but for me it seems there is nearly no activities. Hope I'm be wrong.
It's true mate that this past months or even year ago that NEO has no activities to show the investors about progress.
Neo now seems like a sleeping dragon as what i have read before but this time it really has sleeping and nothing
to expect clearly.
Back in 2017 when NEO has been a talk of the town and even in altcoins section there are many thread that boosting
this currency and i remember that i also did bought this coins amounting 500$ but i sold last 2018 when i lose 30%
of my money and never think of buying this again Unless there are some good news about the team and about the
developer to what they are planning in future.
when first entered the market many people hoped that neo would become an altcoin that could be aligned with ethereum. but this fact has not been proven until now. at its peak neo could still approach $ 200 but after that there was no very significant development to make changes, it actually continued to fall until now and could not get back up. although the current price is not worse than the price when it first entered the market, but this is very disappointing.

For a long, long time they have been working on NEO 3.0, a completely new implementation with high throughput, enhanced stability and security, and an optimized smart contract system.
They're aiming to launch it in Q4 of this year (source).

Don't worry already we are seeing price change with the recovery of Bitcoin prices. NEO is not a short term project we should always aim it as a long term project and it will help the community to reach their desired target which the market conditions are in good shape.
You are worried about the price of NEO but don't rush to deny the role of community development, a strong community is very important to the future of the coin. In the short term, it won't show too clearly, but in the long run it will be a booming factor when the market is stable.
the key of investing especially in cryptocurreny is patience,
so, everyone should increase their patience if they hold the right coins of course

NEO usually increases in price with Bitcoin and will often depend on news, so NEO is generally a predictable coin if you have a reasonable investment strategy. In the past, this coin has been considered the second Ethereum in this market, and I believe this is entirely possible if new projects use the NEO platform more. In my portfolio, the coins like NEO or Qtum always make up 20% because these are all very famous Chinese.
I still don't understand why neo price is still very low from ath, one of the best project back in 2017, when I first know about neo, it was at $3 - $4 back in 2017, then came the bull run and neo keep rising till ath of $198, I couldn't believe it! But now price is very reasonable, this project have all the right element to go back up in price, so buying now won't be a bad idea, it could do well again in the next bull run.
I guess most coin's price right now is far from their all-time high price. Just take a look from bitcoin price, now it is trading $9300-$9500 which I think it still far to $20.000 and the second larget volum in crypto currency i.e ETH, now its pricr just trading being traded $215-$220 whilst its all-time high was $1200 it mean ETH need increasing price for $1000. There is no coin which can be able to reach its all-time high. We have been three years to wait it happens but seem like it is very high to achieve. Although we have read a lit of article already which stated that bitcoin especially could reach $100.000 in a few years ahead, it will be interesting to see. It will be same with NEO, indeed the coin's feature is interesting and there are many people alreadt who says that it could compate ETH with ERC20.

It's wrong. If you are watching NEO community and it became even smaller than before caused by some people in the community have been going to the new coin. It matters a lot caused by each of people leave NEO means the support to the market will be less.
NEO needs to bring a major update to attract old or new users.

new announcements I don't see why would price go up!

NEO is the ETH coin of Chinese people. I believe in this coin. This might excel in the next bull run. Once China created their coin this might trigger future projects for the NEO blockchain.

Can you name me top3 projects that were created on NEO blockchain and can compete by popularity with projects on Ethereum? Or 3 projects that raised softcan and got listed in 2019-2020?

Doubt that you can do it without googling. Seems that there is no demand on NEO blockchain and NEO is only used as a speculative altcoin.

I have already purchased the NEO last year but, till now I haven't get any benefit from my investment. That time the Neo price was growing and I bought 10 qty. but after holding of this coin the price level decrease with no hurdle. So, I want to someone speculate the price level to which I can hold this coin.

I only know that NEO still at a low price, and the price can increase anytime. I have some NEO from a few months ago, and I hope that the price will grow in a short time so I can sell it at that time. But I am not sure about how higher the NEO price will increase. I hope that NEO can follow to increase if bitcoin price can increase higher.
Or go down, why not? Just because it has gone down so much already does not mean it will not any longer. In fact most alts now are closer to 0 than they are to ATH,,, and for me objectively, even though I like NEO, I cannot really see much hope for it to go back to ATH on its own without relying on BTC rally.

People have a very good opinion towards NEO, so it is good to aim for the long term instead of the short term because most of the NEO community will call NEO as Chinese ETH, in 2017, the price of each NEO increased to more than 195$ so we should always aim NEO as a long term investment.
Yes,,, I think in general people who are not purposely against all projects will not have ill feelings towards NEO. I think in the crypto space you have projects who are all supportive of each other, and you also have some who just hate each other. That is always normal. But how to hate projects like NEO and WAVES who are all really just trying to make it in the same space?
So far NEO is sleeping and i believe that waiting for the right time to grow high again and maybe silently working for the company's progress.
