just increasing it's price isn't going to make BTC stronger. So stop that rubbish. Dont hold on to your BTC . Sell some of it.

I am all for making btc stronger by making it more accessible to noobs. Just don't over focus on short term price increases as the desired outcome.

I gave away .01 bitcoin for people to sign up on my website and verify their username on bitcointalk. I found that there are several people on bitcointalk who created accounts specifically to verify themselves to get free coins.

Plus just about everyone who signed up never logged in again.

The way MIT did it might work, focusing on a small community that would be smart enough to use Bitcoin and contribute to it.
This is exactly why this type of plan would not work. Whoever is giving away their bitcoin (money) would end up getting scammed.

Also another issue is that if you give something away then it will lose value as many people will claim something with value that they do not need to pay for only to sell it right away

I would prefer Bitcoins to sit with people who believe in the power of the blockchain than those begging for free handouts to sell immediately. Innovations (a secure android wallet) and economic weaknesses (bail-ins) will win out in the end.

Well, we have many Computer Expo's all around the world. Who is hosting BTC stations, where people demonstrate the use of BTC - Live demonstrations, where people buy products online, with wallets they created.

I find, when you make these demonstrations "hands on" people tend to get it.

You could also have entries fee's for eSports online gaming, made in BTC and prizes paid out in BTC

The fastest way to increase adoption, would be for merchant to offer HUGE discounts on their most popular products sold, for people who pay with BTC

This will speed up the adoption of BTC incredibly faster.

OK poker was huge in USA until a couple of years ago, feds busted US based operators

so inside USA you have a starving OL gambling community

now btc is starting to tap into those millions of players just in the USA

the future of OL BTC poker rooms is caymans

no one will be able to close them

using btc keeps the players anonymous

so IMO that is enough to take btc to crazy value levels

millions and millions of gamblers OL will all be using btc soon

what will the value of btc be IF it just takes over OL gambling?

huge

I agree with the point that vice industry and casinos can and will increase adoption of BTC but will this happen fast enough ?

Anyway i think that a new system put in place to increase BTC adoption it's a benefit for the community and i was hoping to find some investors in this community to start my project. Does anyone have any experience and suggestions about how to go about this?
I understand that the investment must have a ROI.

What i could offer to investors:
1. referral earnings within a multi level referral system
2. I could push there offers to my community members for a commision (i have list of 30k affiliate marketers ready to push good offers)
3. The most important: spread the adoption of BTC and hopefully increase the price

btc casino projects are now starting to focus on making members participate in growth by giving members promo codes for social media

so a new btc casino member earns a ton of rewards when they promote new btc casinos in their SM outlets

it's the best viral growth plan I've seen put into play recently via SM

SM is global, so giving a casino member a reward reason to push a new btc casino could make new btc casino projects really huge very quickly

SM can turn new sites into monster traffic sites if you get enough SM users behind you

btc needs to become a viral SM event, get btc so you can gambling online anonymously

a few casino projects are now in play where such strategy is a major part of their marketing plan

just look at the daily btc transactions, the percentage of trans involving btc are huge

gambling is going to push btc into global acceptance imo

The best way to see Bitcoin grow and for the price to stabilize is to do the exact opposite of what many believe: don’t buy it, give it away for FREE.

The only legitimate way to increase the price of bitcoin is to increase demand. One of the best ways to increase demand is to increase adoption. The more people that want BTC (to make purchases, for example), the higher the price will be.

Now how to increase adoption ?

Now assume that we have some fun and an efficient distribution mechanism that is fairly accurate at getting coins into the hands of new Bitcoin users. We help them get a wallet, and give them each .01 coins

Because of the awesomeness of Bitcoin, some percentage of those users will not only spend their .01 coins, they’ll fund their accounts with more

This will increase demand of BTC and his price

I have made a distribution mechanism for this project and i'm looking for investors for the giveaway

What do you say ?

I say to fuel btc growth you need to take btc through a vice industry

Take btc on casinos and adult sites

Have an easy way for your clients to open a btc wallet and fund it

A vice need is why people bother to acquire btc that and greed

Greed
Drugs
Gambling
Adult industries

Are all the existing 'needs' as to why people acquire btc

btc is the perfect vice industry currency

and vice is huge globally, billions of people have vice related habits that do no work with tradional banks, so cash has ruled vice and now btc is making in roads into vice

all the speculation in btc is GREED related, another vice

so why are you here?

are you a GREED vice person? u have GREED to acquire wealth?
are you involved in drugs? do you sell or use?
are you a gambler and got into btc to fuel your gambling vice habit or do you run btc casinos?
are you addicted to porn or run a porn site or cam site?

all of these vice needs is why 99% of you are into btc

oh you mine btc, why? GREED

the fact that mainstream retail is now adopting btc just shows how many vice related users exist now in the world of btc

my 2 micro satoshi

my own reasons for being involved in btc

GREED I always go where high asset growth is
Gambling I'm involved in both ends
Porn I'm involved in porn for decades way before the net

Lucky I have a tech back ground too

drugs I use none and do not operate any drug related sites yet I have pain center clients now converting to btc

so I guess I am involved slightly in drugs if you consider a legally licensed pain center to be a vice drug need

I thought when they organized free btc to college students some time ago and that was a great idea. We need more new people, young people especially to become adopters.

Lol, well you're free to experiment with your theory. This wouldn't work. IF you give it away for free this could just devaule it if you give it to people who don't value it, but on the other hand if you give it to someone who does value it then they will either just hold it or spend it, which is what everyone else is doing anyway. Let's just keep spreading adoption ourselves and see where it goes.

Elaborate a bit more about your idea, being transparant is a good idea, there are ways to 'lend' bitcoins to start something.
You need to convince the ones you want to invest. This means you have to invest in promoting your idea. When giving away there is no ROI other than the long term effect it might have on BTC acceptance, it is a long shot and not many are willing to pay for that.

The amount should not really matter. You can start a service for which you can pay with the given BTC and prove users how easy it is to send and receive bitcoin payments. This means not only giving bitcoins and a wallet to store it in, but a total experience.

Yes i have to invest in promoting that's true. I'm an Internet marketer / programmer and know how to promote stuff and i truly belive in this project

I have some budget alocated for promotion but i don't have budget for the giveaway

Also there is ROI for investors as i have created a multi tier refferal program and the investors will be on the top tier so once the project started there will be revenue going back to investors not only the long term effect

I can't give more details about the project on the public forum yet

I would say you are not the first, Xapo is giving away satoshi when opening a wallet, not the amount you suggest, there are tons of sites giving away bits and satoshis.

Your idea needs some more proof and being more trustworthy when asking for investors.

yes i seen Xapo and the amount i suggested can be lower baybe 0.001 BTC but high enough to worth something not just to increase the creation of wallets but also to engage people to spent ther BTC

most of the sites i found give away free BTC to people that already know about BTC and have wallets. My sugestion is to give them to people not involved yet with BTC

What do you suggest about proof? and how to make it more trustworthy? Maybe transparency between the BTC recived from investors and BTC sent away for free
