In my view, the Taliban have finally won the war because over the years Afghanistan has been a battlefield for the United States.
Not really, its just a lose for US since they are not interested in spending anymore for that country and also giving life of their soldiers to attacks often so both the former and current president pulled their control from their which let the Native group to capture the country and starts to rule there.

Many news sources are biased to an extent, at least on certain topics or in certain geographical areas. With something like the Afghan crisis it can be difficult to obtain a truly impartial assessment of the situation and the history.

Actually, all news sources are biased to an extent. Information, knowledge, does not exist as detached from our preconceptions. Another thing is that there are outrageously biased sources of information.

Not really, actual news biases are fruit of intentional selection of informations/knowledge to be published. The publishers or news writers doesn't have the control of the news sources as they will write base on the facts and knowledge they receive as fast as they can. The only thing they control is how they write it, and how will they attract the crowd from the title alone. In addition, you can see if their bias if the news is not similar to other news agency.

And if these threads are not enough, check Aljazeera news, they've got a website.

This is in general a good idea. Many news sources are biased to an extent, at least on certain topics or in certain geographical areas. With something like the Afghan crisis it can be difficult to obtain a truly impartial assessment of the situation and the history. The best thing you can do is to read histories from different sources. If for example you are in the US, then don't rely on US sources for all of your news.
I'm not really following them until Taliban took over Afghanistan and with those news that I've seen popping on my feed, I've seen that they've got an actual correspondent on the field.

What do you want to talk about a bunch of dogfucking terrorists? They need to be exterminated but since the Afghani people are too afraid to fight their own battles, Taliban will never go away. The only way is to nuke the whole country but we know that ain't happening. (It would be inhuman too)

I agree but in general, not just with the Afgan conflict.

No need to make a thread for this, just scroll a bit on this section and you'll see those discussions about Taliban/Afghanistan topics. Here they are at the first page.

My friends and colleagues have been telling me about the crisis in the Taliban.
Taliban is a terror group in the Afghan region who recently took over power and now controls Afghanistan 🇦🇫 as a country, and just a simple search on google you will find all the information you need.
