it was like reading the bitcontalk forums before, a lot of enthusiasm, not very informed.

now you have guests and even co-hosts who really seem to know their stuff!

night and day, honestly. well done!

So, Bitcoin Magazines office assistant, a rightwing nut janitor crypto-anarchist, a self-congratulatory wanker (" I created the most comprehensive introduction to the Bitcoin ever produced on Udemy") and an online marketing guy that changes incarnations of his corporations every year.

This is going to end well.

this shiteater just spreads envy and bullshit everywhere. confirmed here again. careful to prove him wrong: he's going to google your personal data and publish them around, including names of relatives, without your consent, pretending to be an artificial intelligence.
well, his intelligence is apparently, really artificial, and he has been sentenced to be called shiteater in public.

If you were to look at my resume on the topic of cryptocurrencies, there aren't a whole lot of accredited references there - Yet I'm taking on this role and so far people are happy with the quality of the information provided.  We're in a new space here, it's not about who you are as much as what you know and how you think.

If you have others to suggest who you feel are more qualified, I would encourage you to do so.  I no longer wait around for perfection because the need for intelligent conversation is last year, and there isn't anybody else doing it in a professional manner even now.  It's called the community roundtable because they're community members from various perspectives, not experts.   The point is to have reactions available from various perspectives - Everybody discloses their conflicts, everybody is using their real names - If people act in shady ways it seems like they'll be short-lived in this kind of community.

The community roundtable will wind up with 10-30 members by the time we get settled, everybody will recieve questions and those who have interesting perspective or response will be interviewed or included on a panel discussion.

Shamantastic!
Adam,
Since it is Roundtable, then all inclusive views must be the watchword.
I have noticed in the past that simple tasks, such as an actual protocol, were loudly dissuaded from completion by the left-brain, pragmatist types who were seeking quick development of financial apps and not consensus of features. Mike Heath made me aware of the long list of features that are not standardized, yet known to a short list of key developers. Some developers spend months working on add-ons, only to find the new version of the client has deprecated key features. It is not Gavin's domain to develop the protocol so we should have a specific group to address protocol development and inclusion on the roundtable.
I am a researcher that was looking for Bitcoin before its inception. I found it in April 2010, while researching Ven and other solutions. I realize that coders/traders/financial marketers were all drawn to Bitcoin for various reasons. Their voices are valid and their motives apparent, but financial reward cannot be the only reason we bring to a roundtable. Many groups can separate and validate positions, then bring these views across the table. At the moment, all viewpoints are being equally shouted down by non-experts, shills, trolls and left bleeding on the forum floor. Roundtable by its nature seeks consensus first, then examination, then review and finally acceptance.
I suggest that actual rules of procedure be adopted to be completely "inclusive" of all potential views/domains/expertise/charter.
Just a thought.

Sounds like a good idea, the more the better in this case. We have to create a bigger positive voice, then the negative voice from the mainstream media. Send you a mail Adam!

Live life on purpose
I'm still fairly new to Bitcoin and the community, but if I can help, let me know. I could see each
member of the board having their own advisory council within their area of expertise. Tony G. from Bitpay, as an example, might have his pulse on Bitcoin business, but he may also like to bounce ideas off providers like FoxyCart, BitCoinStore, etc. One voice for each category makes sense, but mutiple views supporting that voice might also be helpful.
