Honestly I think you're right, as I believe that China has no problem for the aging population, we are talking about a nation of over a billion people, three times the US if I remember correctly.
Whit this number, no one nation have power to give them headache.

In Italy, the dowry would be forbidden by law, as I said before, we do not exist (and never existed) the practice of female abortion, rather like you, you prefer the female girl as it is more ' related to parents and helps more ' happily in the family.

I'm not cattolic, #atheism , but cattolic think is no one can do abortion.

China may do away with the one-child policy, as even without it the population has stabilized. Also, they are starting to feel the negative effects of population ageing (especially as a younger India is giving them headache along the south-west border).

It is still a considerable sum for poorer families though. I mean if it is not, I don't see why they'd start aborting female fetuses. I mean, girls do have a "use". In my country some parents even prefer girls since they can be relied on in managing the household.

Thankfully, authorities have finally realized that the gender ratio imbalance is affecting the country and doing something about it. China has pretty much relaxed the limit on children. In India I believe there is no law prohibiting marriage unless there is dowry so that's a good start.

I thought European countries used to have a dowry system? Well, at least I think the Romans did. I think I saw that while reading the etymology for the word "paraphernalia".

And that just feel so wrong. I mean, why did this practice even came to be? The parent end up looking at daughters as nothing as money flowing out of the family. 

Glad that despite Christian and Muslim influences, the dowry system didn't took off in my country. We actually have slightly more girls than boys here.

Abort female fetus is not in India, i dont have info about that.

Well, women have been chattel for a long time. They were treated to be no better than imbeciles, a liability that must be married off. No wonder China and India's gender ratio are skewed. They aborted too much female fetuses.

When these guys are going to realize that a wife also has her own rights and choices? For Muslims, women are a form of asset, just like bullion or real estate. They refuse to admit that the women are also fellow human beings.

Abd Al-Bari Al-Zamzami : A few days ago, I was asked by the Al-Sabbah newspaper about men who have sex with their dead wives. The truth is that this question took me by surprise, and I asked the journalist whether there really are people who do this deplorable and disgraceful act, which is not to be expected from a normal, balanced person. Only a mentally or psychologically unbalanced man would do such a thing.

In any case, I do not have the right to prohibit things. Fatwas are not shaped according to one’s will or whim. Rather, they reflect the law of Allah.

Therefore, I do not have the right to prohibit that act merely because I consider it deplorable.

The evidence I relied upon in this case was that a wife’s death does not sever her relations with her husband. A wife’s death does not sever her marital relations with her husband. She remains his wife post mortem, in the Hereafter, just as she was his wife in her lifetime.

It is perfectly clear that marital relations are not severed by a wife’s death. She remains her husband’s wife. This being the case, the husband has the right to do whatever he wants with her. For instance, he may kiss her. It is common for a husband to kiss his wife after her death, out of love and sorrow. This is something that is done, and there is nothing wrong with it.

The fact that such an act is permissible does not make it commendable or even acceptable. Having sex with your wife’s corpse is permitted but not commendable.
