I repeat my question: any of you did a donation? Did you get a confirmation by e-mail? I did and I'm supposed to have my name in the official credits or something like that, so in the meantime it should get recorded somewhere. Though I never got any single feedback from them to say for instance "thanks for the donation, we recorded you!".

I contacted them via their website and they provided a pretty quick reply. You should try it http://lifeonbitcoin.com/press/

Ok thanks! Just did that.

been getting excited about this.

i think/hope this documentary will do a good job at teaching a lot of people how to accomplish somethings using bitcoins and people will be able to learn from any mistakes this couple makes instead of us making it on our own.

i'll be watching their twitter and facebook updates closely to see how this plays out before the documentary is finished filming.

Yeah, $77,000 is more than enough for "a couple of months" for sure.

AFAIU, they must fund the documentary with the BTC, not live on them?

Exactly, they say that bitcoins will fund the documentary.. still I don't exactly understand if, when they say they will live for the first 90 days exclusively on bitcoins, that means they will live on their own bitcoins..

These guys are up to 778 BTC. Today, that's around $77,000 USD. That should get them through a couple months at a minimum.

This is an interesting experiment, and I look forward to seeing how it unfolds.

A couple of months?  Hell, $77k is more than enough for newlyweds to live on for a year.

For those who donated, did you get e-mail confirmations? I did a donation (BTC one), but have yet to receive anything.  Huh

For whoever is interested: http://www.facebook.com/LifeOnBitcoin

In my opinion the documentary could be a very good opportunity to see people trying to live theur daily life exclusively on bitcoins. I'm sure it will have a good media coverage which cannot be anything bad for Bitcoin.

I've met them personally, we have some mutual friends, and I was actually just featured on their blog.  I wish them the best of luck, even though they reached the Kickstarter goal, I would still contribute because the more money they get the more difficult things they are going to try to accomplish, traveling for example.

Best of luck to Austin and Beccy!

They have clarified the rules of the Life on Bitcoin project. Good reading.

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bitcoinlife/life-on-bitcoin-a-documentary-film/posts/511835

Our company is backing this project with 2.5 bitcoins. Personally I put in 0.5 bitcoins. It's starting to look good, they already have half of the money they need. $35k funded, $35k left before they reach their goal. Over 3 weeks left.
