^^Thanks for advice us about SavingCoin,

I see that you are trying of save this coin  giving a hand to followers of this coin,I guess that in this case
the choice of save or mark this coin as died coin is your, actually there is not exchange,so anyway I think that I could list it on "waiting for an answer".

About  died coins  out of bitcointalk you are right there are many coins died out of here, but for now we are
focus on this forum.Im sure that there are another importants forums like that you mention, and maybe new
forums will appears. Some near day concept of "died coins" could be used like that you mention about of include anothers sites or forums.

It's about time -- All merrit accepted !!!
Saving Coin appears dead, I actually tried to 'save' it updating the code and such (even though i am not the original dev, original dev appears to have abandoned the coin) but no wallet connections at all.......

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/annsavsavingcoin-100-annual-interests-no-premine-enjoy-your-savings-285621

One thing you should consider is that not all coins or developers launch or ever even discuss coins on this forum and may use just a website , another forum , or github to update their code. For example I know of many coins only launched on www.cryptocointalk.com

If you are only going to pronounce coins dead that have threads here I know for a fact that some people have launched coins elsewhere, never intending to ANN them here and someone else (could be anyone) does an ANN thread for the coin......

To me the ultimate test if a coin is alive or dead is if it can connect or not.

If you cannot connect to a network after trying for several days or weeks and there are no recent commits to the source on github from the developer I consider it dead at that point.

I think that could be more than a week, do you have a better suggestion?

Yes. A two-condition rule: one post a month or, after a longer period, an enquiring “Hey dev, is this coin dead?” post receives a response within a week.

The Chaincoin dev's post history is a good example of why the existing rule #1 is unrealistic in practice.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/rolihlahla-198935

Mooncoin is a classic example of absentee dev and live coin where rule #1 is mostly irrelevant.

it service of DC is totally free,on basis of a coin is different

It's not all that different for a coin without a premine, as many devs of zero-premine coins will tell you.

Cheers

Graham

Rule number 1 has been changed according with you suggestion, but honestly ChainCoin with post of dev
with intervals of July 30, 2014  to   October 29, 2014, we are talking about 3 months,is a lot of time,There is not reason to a Dev wait a long time to post a simple ´Hello World´......................,
I think that each coin is different, for example we dont need to wait 30 days to declare dead a scam coin
for example nuclearcoin  https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/nccnuclearcoin-x13-powpos-35day-mining-700004................
About mooncoin community has been very participative since start, for this reason rule number 1 look irrelevant but it is not so really, remember that it rule appears a lot of time after that mooncoin.Rule number 1 need be to know for all devs, but it is only time question.

Thank you  for advice us, Could you please mention a coin?.

... 19 days elapse ...

... Thanks guys:

Rule #1 holds devs to make at least one posting a week.  “unfortunately just now I have less  time for do that” and 19 days between posts suggests that you might want to consider relaxing the time constraint now that you have discovered for yourself that it is rather unrealistic.

Cheers

Agree with you Graham, only please let me say a little difference, Its rules apply only to coins, it service of DC is totally free,on basis of a coin is different, on a week price drop quickly, coin lost his value.Besides I had adviced previously “unfortunately just now I have less  time for do that”.

Anyway about Rule #1 holds devs to make at least one posting a week.  I think that could be more than a week, do you have a better suggestion?

Edit: A succesfull  coin need a very participative community backed for a dev or devs more participatives or viceversa.......

You should specify coins by what one were released and never got on an exchange but still had gone on to live..
vs one that just become unpopular later..

i think we need an Altcoin Pawn Shop !

Agree with you Spoetnik,

In fact there is a cryptoclub coin or something where  guys accept some coins of  this type,I'm not sure about this, I will put your suggestion on a new section on OP, like to roadmap or something, for moment we
