Are ฿itcoins Radioactive?
I'm using 0.2.4.2 and somehow I upgraded BFGMiner to 3.6.0 .  I was trying to upgrade it to 3.7.0 but I'm damned if I can remember how I did it, and my googlefu is weak today...

Neil, when can we get the new 3.7.0 version of bfgminer to git pull? Sorry to ask... but this time, I didn't used my usual sarcasm or even bold or gigantic letters...

Neil may be busy; I went ahead and compiled 3.7.0 for MinePeon and made a pull request in github, so all Neil has to do is merge it and it will be available, just trying to help ya out Neil Smiley
I also did the 3.7.0 compilation, with the help of tk1337. Many thanks.
The git pull from today already has the 3.7.0 bfgminer. I already compiled the new 3.8.0 version and I'm using it with Bluefury's, Block Erupters and Jalapeños.

@Neil

Is there any progress with a Cubieboard or BeagleBone version?

+1

Would like to run a BeagleBone myself, the Pi is a little slow, and SD Cards make me nervous.

I they work fine, I should bundle them up and release them, perhaps I will get some time to do it over the next few weeks as things slow down for Christmas.

I have yet to work out an easy way to get it onto the mmc of the bagelbone black but it is running of SD fine.  (it is not that it is hard, I just want to make it easy for the user)

Neil

thx for your answer.

good to hear.
So there is "only" a bagelbone version? Must know what board to buy Smiley

I would really appreciate it if you release what you have ready.
even if there is currently no easy way to get it in the mmc
I think most know that you work in your spare time on this project.
And I suspect that donations are not that high...

I really appreciate your work, thx Neil!
And I'm happy to play with whatever you have finished now. (for the moment at least  Grin Wink)
Probably someone else find a fast and easy way to get in the mmc...

Is the stuff for the Adafruit LCD still included? I updated to whatever the newest version was last week, and just noticed yesterday that the LCD is no longer on.

They are now plugins, you can grab a copy from the forums at;-

3.8.0 is out now...

I'm still mining away like a champ, just over 30GH now (BlueFuzzy, 2x Blades, and a Jalapeno at 5GH which will be getting flashed when I get a moment's peace).

Just ran "sudo pacman -Syu" on the underlying system (working on installing some other stuff to play with onboard unrelated to MinePeon). While I'm at it is there anyway to bring the minepeon files up to stable without just starting with the new image from scratch (and importing /opt/ files or backup from the web interface).

The General
Help,

The Raspberry Pi doesn't seem to be able to detect any USB devices plugged into this hub:
http://www.amazon.com/AITECH-backward-Compatible-Aluminum-10port-Silver/dp/B00A79GOYU

But there are lots of other people with the same raspberry pi and USB hub + asic erupters that could get it to work, what can I do to fix it? I don't think the problem is with Minepeon but more like with the raspberry pi detecting the USB device itself. I do ls /dev and can't find any USB devices connected, I run BFG Miner and because the USBs weren't detected, I can't add any new devices manually either.

If I plug in one block erupter into one of the Raspberry Pi's sockets, it works for both sockets, but if I use the hub, it can't detect anything?!

Please help

Hi Guys,
I am using tk1337’s ‘minepeon-0.2.3a-bfg-2gb-im1’ image, I am running my BFL 30gh and 10 block eruptors against the GHash.io pool.

I seem to be getting loads of hardware errors.

I know that the GHash.io pool has a minimum diff of 16, but I am seeing that the pool is accepting shares form BFL at XXX/512 diff, however nor really seeing much (except for errors) from the block eruptors.

Are there any settings I can change to request lower diff shares for the pool or other?

Cheers sla73

I'd recommend updating to MinePeon 0.2.4.1, I made that image awhile back and the primary reason for that image was to have BFGMiner as the default miner, which in the latest release of MinePeon BFGMiner is the default miner.

EDIT: Side note, I use a BFL Jally (along side ASIC Erupters and Blue/Red Fury Miners) with GHash.io (all I use these days) and I haven't noticed any issues per-say relating to high hardware errors; However I will say, if you are using WiFi, try switching to ethernet for a bit and see how it does. Granted I know that sounds somewhat silly...

For about 2 weeks I was mining happily, then all stopped.
My pi was saying all 3 BFL were sick or would just spew out a load of crap like unaccepted... (I can't remember what it said)

I thought it might have been my USB hub, but I've just changed it over to a new verified one and it sill not working right, it lasts about a minute before it says they are sick again.
And that's if it detects them, must try's I had to ssh and do a auto detect in BFGminer.

I have a 5GH/s Jala, 7GH/s Jala and a 30GH/s LS. And a new BELKIN F5U234CW Hi-Speed USB 2.0 4-Port Hub.

What I did notice before I disconnected the above was the lights on the Hub would go out, the one's connected to the miners??
I still think it's a power problem, but the pi is plugged into the mains. (with adapter :-))

EDIT1:  I just plugged my miners into a old PC running Win7 32bit and they all work!!!

Same to me with my BFs. Mining for about 1 to 5 Minutes, and then they are Zombies. Sometimes they wake up again, but thats very rare. I replaced PSUs and Hubs, but nothing changed. In BF Support Thread someone told me to change to cgminer 3.6.0. How would I do that?

I use BFGMiner so I can use it's built-in getwork proxy.

That really is a wonderful and under-appreciated feature IMO.

Indeed, I've been running it from the moment Luke-Jr added it - I've a pair of Blades that have been solid as a rock using BFG's proxy.  They weren't great when using slush's proxy.
