Im not clear on how the fans are powered. I thought they were powered from the Klondike itself.

Assembly status:
We have completed both board level and final assembly. Unit testing has been delayed due to firmware issues and lack of ktest utility. We have been testing with rough values using the old firmware, which will assist us in expediting final testing, which expect to complete within two days.
The firmware bug causing high error rates has been discovered and corrected as of early this morning. We are continuing to run tests, but believe the base firmware is now stable. We have also greatly reduced the performance issues when connecting multiple units within CGminer. Currently, we are running stable at 300mhz at 4.9gh/s, with less than 0.5% errors.
We are continuing to work on the USB bootloader, which we hope to have finalized this week. Once the USB bootloader has been completed, we will begin work on the I2C connection and optimizing the firmware, while continuing to optimize CGminer.
We have received requests to ship the units in their current state, without the ability to update the firmware via USB. We are now accepting requests to ship units as-is, but advise against it. This option should only be considered if you have a large order and are comfortable with programming. Currently, the only method of flashing the units is to use a Pickit3 Pic programmer with a suggested pogo pin adapter, connected to a host running MPLAB IPE/IDE. This is a fairly complex process for those unfamiliar with programming, and materials costs are ~$80. Units shipped without the USB bootloader will require initially flashing the units using the on board ICSP pads to update the firmware to allow USB updates.
If you would like to request your units shipped as-is, please ensure the shipping address provided on your liquidsyndesigns.com account is correct, and reply to this email with the subject “Please ship my units without USB bootloader”.

Ten bucks says its well more than "the next few days" before we get details on hardware refunds. We've heard that "update soon" bullshit before, and too often. I KNEW he would completely avoid the assembly refund issue! I am REALLY pissed now! I'll be spending "the next few days" filing legal complaints.
Don't get me wrong - this is semi good news for those still waiting on miners... I'm glad to see that someone may actually get them. Congrats to those to actually FINALLY get started mining.

As I said, PIC16 USB bootloaders aren't exactly a dime a dozen. PIC18 is easy...
I'm assuming/hoping the bootloader will be open source with everything else. I'm really curious to see it. I just wish BkkCoins had shipped the PIC chips I ordered - I could really use them for a different project.

Each 6pin PCIE can handle 150 watts,but I'm keeping it down to 100 watts or so for safety.Only 2 per 6pin.The wires are barely warm 
Since my miners are OC'ed @ 350MHz,I'm assuming worst case of 50 watts per,so 6x50=300 watts
I had this layin around from an old gamer PC I used for LAN parties here at home.It's rockin 6 with no problem

I connect my homemade cables directly to the PCIExpress cable,not the PSU itself.(My PSU is not a modular one).
I'm useing an old 250 watt PSU,for the PC & fans for the miners.Its a bit of a cluster for now,but works just fine
KLN 1 is missing cause I unplugged & replugged a miner,KLN 6 is mining but not showing for some reason.All 6 are mining @ 5.5 GH @ 350MHz The hardware errors are way low

Question for you. And please correct me if I'm wrong in my specs....
The power draw from a single 6 pin PCI-E connector is supposed to be 75 watts. From an 8 pin it's supposed to be 150 watts (I think).
So, if you're putting 3 x K16 on a 6 pin, do you have some sort of 8 pin to 6 pin adapter for the extra power?

I can't tell in the picture, but what's the connector on the power supply end? Is it one of those modular plugs? If that's the case then he's fine because he's only putting 30W (or whatever the K-16 draws) out of the 6 pin PCI-E connectors. He should be concerned about the power draw on the PS end connector and wiring.
