Hello,

I’m following some food prints of professional ICO scammers! The last scam project of these guys was “Ethereum Soft” but now they are creating a new Project with the name “Ethereum Future” the website isn’t finish yet but here are important links and please never join them!!!

Welcome to official Ethereum Future Community channel

Useful links:

http://ethereumfuture.net (Website)

https://www.facebook.com/ethfcoin (Facebook)
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic= (Announcement)
http://explorer.ethereumfuture.net (Block Explorer)
http://pool.ethereumfuture.net (Pool)

For more informations just ask!!! But like usually the people just listening to me if the ICO is over!!!

If I have more Informations, I let you know!

Wow Ethereum Soft is scam? Really? I followed their telegram, and still waiting about their Airdrop distribution. But it seems they upset investor trust. Nice information, I think I have to leave that group.

It's unfortunate when they "steal" the name of an already popular coin and try to scam people by riding the popularity of the said coin.

Corruption is part of the culture of many countries.  Hence, I check the corruption ranking of countries:

https://www.transparency.org/news/feature/corruption_perceptions_index_2016

If the ICO is from a country with a high corruption ranking, then you know you're taking a higher risk.  This is because the team probably has less of an issue with inaccuracies, exaggerating, lying or cheating, because these things are more ingrained in their country's culture.

Very nice analysis. I have same thought with you. A country which have high corruption ranking, have a chance to make a scam ICO. ICO, can raised a lot of money, so that can make more people become greedy.

It's certainly a cool idea, to add up all the ICO scam here, but I think it will be difficult to do, just for one reason that many people can say that the project is scam, but it's not a scam, just a project can be delayed a little and so on, Anyone. So I think it will be difficult

The  Initial Coin Offering phenomenon has started to play a significant role in the crypto-startup world. Lately, more and more experts are looking to decentralized crowd-funding methods with interest.

But, the absence of legal guidelines in the operation of these ICOs has resulted in more than a few scams. This is hardly abnormal for an entirely new, unregulated field; but, would-be investors, nonetheless, find it difficult to discern potential opportunities from grab-the-money-and-run schemes. So whatever you do, you have to make sure the money you invest can be afford to lose in worst case.

The support of the Dai, sent this reply:

Hi,

If you added the new adress: 0x6eaeB67B455157A879227AAA73a8E4E27CB32E15 correctly, you have no reason to worry.

You are right, it just seems like your CELL tokens have not arrived yet.

We manually sent out the missing CELL tokens to all owners that bought during the security issue two days ago, including yours (I just checked our list).

Due to the slow ETH network currently, transactions with <20 Gwei take a long time.

I must therefore continue to ask for your patience, many in the community have already received their CELL tokens, yours are still on their way and will surely reach you.

Thank you,

DAI Team

The mail comes from: DAI Investor <[email protected]>

You can check my address, have another fragment of token, after that, they not anymore respond my mails.

Any one contribution from my part, please contact

too many scam ICO. We can't list all them here. Many ICO born everyday. So we must do it by ourselves.
- Check carefully dev team profile - advisor profile - make sure they in project
- Read whitepaper carefully and if they have a demo. that's good.
- Dont be hurry. Just keep calm and wait other user say about this ICO.

Weare like they same when im going to participate in the campaign i need to look their status and this campaign manager also is popular and very active always. And thats true we must always read the whitepaper so that we know in what this project be real.

It is easy to check if an ICO project is a scam or not, do not invest in it before research deeply, also you should leave a period to watch it, do not buy tokens in a hurry.

At a high level, an Initial Coin Offering (“ICO”) is a “fundraising mechanism in which new projects sell their underlying crypto tokens in exchange for early capital.” Often compared to the more mainstream Initial Public Offering (IPO), ICOs democratize the fundraising process, serving as a crowdfunding instrument that can be levered at scale. While a relatively new phenomenon, these token sales are quickly gaining momentum, empowering a global pool of investors to fund the next generation of companies.

I want to know about Authorship ICO and Viberate ICO It's listed as scam or not and i must be aware from that ico or not actually if Authorship ico not scam i want to invest to that ico

I just came across authorship ICO, and also saw it's advertisement in Facebook. But where did you get it is listed as scam?

And I'm interested to know how to determine if it is a scam ICO?

I really don't think this is a scam. No evidence though, but it does feel genuine.
It is much easier to prove that something is a scam than to prove that it isn't.

Appreciate the initiative of starting this thread. Yes, I agree that many ICO are scams. People behind this project would commit a lot and then once they make some money, boom they disappear and people lose their hard earned money. I would rather do my homework thoroughly and then perhaps invest. But honestly even after reading and asking people about ICO and the team behind it, one cannot be 100% that they are real and will not scam out.

However, with threads like this, once can definitely create mass awareness.

Thanks and have a wonderful day.

Invest in ICos should be careful enough because if the iCO scam project the coin will be worthless after the sales. Hope with ban ICO in China there will be regulation to control ICO so there are no many more ICOs with scam projects.

Do not assume a project is negative/scam  if thread, social media, discord, slack, and telegram are still active. If there is no development for almost a month, then you can just assume and create a thread in the scam accusation. Many projects have changed due to technical constraints, but they always announce changes to the schedule and development.

There is one project here that has absolutely no progress since they promised to update on september 1st : abab.io. Their ICO is already running but there is no update at all.
