Time for another update! I added the following eleven projects to the DeFi scam list:

Last Update: 26.11.2020

26/11/2020
  • added YearnFinance.tech (Clone)
  • added YLD DeFi (Plagiarized Website Content)
  • added DeFiHold (Ponzi Scheme)
  • added UniSwap.appS (Clone)
  • added MultiSwap Protocol (Plagiarized Whitepaper

  • added YFIB DeFi (Plagiarized Website Content)
  • added unibluefinance.com (Fake Team)
  • added Ywin.Finance (Fake Team)
  • added yfiairdrop (Fake Airdrop, Clone)

The DeFi hype still continues and new DeFi scams are popping up every day. It's far from beeing over. Please stay alert and do not fall for the DeFi scammers.

Thanks for sharing these here, I added them to the list. Great work buddy!

Yes, very nice summary of the 2nd biggest plague that hit 2020, defi scams.
But i'm affraid you have your work cut out for you by updating the list, as there's like 5 new defi scams popping up every day.

Now, indeed, every new project that appears on the market necessarily refers to the DeFi sector, even if it is not. Scammers also see the hype that accompanies these projects, and also call their scam DeFi to attract additional investor attention to their fraud. So we will still see a lot of scams around DeFi, and the OP will not be left without work.

This is a good list to watch out for. Good thing the OP is adding his last update here so we know projects which created after that have not yet seen for review. And more than likely, we will end up with only few legit DeFi platforms. Seeing all these blunders ranging from plagiarism, phishing websites to fake team members, repeating those over and over again.

As @bullrun2020bro told you, if you think that Anonyme is most likely a scam, open a topic in Scam accusation and if it's your first topic there, follow the format that you can find in the pinned message.

OK, I'll do that if I notice they've opened a new ANN thread. Thank you.

No, unfortunately I did not archive their ANN topic but I am glad that the moderators deleted it. However, there is a google cache archive here:

Anonyme thread was deleted because they were giving away tokens in exchange for ANN comments, therefore breaking the forum rules. Good riddance imho, as it was spammed by bunch of newbie accounts wanting to get few dollars worth of that shitcoin.

As @bullrun2020bro told you, if you think that Anonyme is most likely a scam, open a topic in Scam accusation and if it's your first topic there, follow the format that you can find in the pinned message.

Two more DeFi scams ready to be added to the list

I guess you can add this scam project to the list too: [ANN] Anonyme 🌟 An Autonomous Interest Rate Protocol

No team, no whitepaper... just a shiny website and token sales.

You are absolutely right. The project looks fishy as hell and is likely another DeFi scam. Unfortunately the thread was deleted by the moderators already. Did you archive it? In addition to that it would be very helpful if you create a proper scam accusation thread as a reference. If you don't know how the format looks, please check the following guide: Scam Report Format (Use it to make scam reports properly)

There is an Anonyme bounty thread active on the forum and stupid bountyhunters still report their activity there. Grin

I also updated the thread once again and added two projects to the DeFi scam list:

  • added UNI-airdrop.org (Clone)
  • added YFCentral Finance (Plagiarized Whitepaper)

Don't worry. I guess everyone knows that we won't be able to add every DeFi scam out there to the list in the OP. Nevertheless I don't think that's a huge problem - in my opinion the thread briefly describes how dangerous the DeFi space is and how many scams are out there. The thread is a reminder to users to be careful and stay alert before investing in a new project.

Indeed that project is fishy enough which high likely would be ended as a scam,
If you made a proper accusation of them I think OP would determine to add it to the list.

I think the OP will update the list after many have reported on this fraud allegation, so it is fitting that every day there will be many DeFi projects that continue to scam people and I think that their way of getting money, should be eliminated completely.
But the OP job is very over priced because it provides an already scam DeFi list.

It's time to update the thread again. I added the following five projects to the DeFi scam list:

Last Update: 06.11.2020

06/11/2020
  • added Curve.si (Clone)
  • added Mooniswap.app (Clone)
  • added YFPO.finance (Stock Photos)
  • added BUTTERswap (Bounty Irregularities)
  • added YFI.mobi (Fake Airdrop, Exit Scam)

If you actually trade on the various DeFi swap websites out there, it's time to be extra careful! More and more DeFi clones are popping up trying to steal your money. Always double-check, if the website you're using is accurate. Never enter your private key! Do not send ETH to untrustworthy contracts.

I recently updated the thread again and added the following two projects:

Last Update: 31.10.2020

31/10/2020
  • added Zelos Mining (former Yieldly) (Fake Photos, Fake Team)
  • added OfficialUniSwap (Clone)

It looks like the same scammers that created Yieldly some time ago rebranded their project and called it Zelos Mining. See this reference for more information: [SCAM] Yieldly (now Zelos)- fake team member photos

OfficialUniSwap is another UniSwap clone. Don't fall for this. Never enter your privat key and always double-check if you're on the correct website.

I just updated the thread once again and added the following three projects to the DeFi scam list:

Last Update: 27.10.2020

27/10/2020
  • added RAMP.defi (Irregularities)
  • added Yearn Finance Decentralized (Plagiarized Whitepaper)
  • added SushiSwapClassLc (Clone)

Concerning RAMP.defi I decided to add them to the list because of the thread Bthd created recently. See here for further reference:  [SCAM] Ramp Defi (1m $ seed round and 103k $ public sale). If RAMP.defi should succeed in disproving the allegations, I will remove them from the list.

Maybe you can ADD Mooswap, rug pull liquidity yesterday, website now just with blank page I see some people still buying this token today. To prevent Bitcointalk member become a victim, I wish OP considering to add $MOO on the list.
Code:
https://mooswap.org/
$MOO Contract address: https://etherscan.io/address/0xda5f5e63084f2ba6eef845cea653913b46c7fe95
Contract creator: https://etherscan.io/address/0xa557b172ea4caf710a2f5ed03ac8d527550546c8 (Holding 225.9 ETH)

Very good catch @masulum! I will add $MOO to the list and hopefully no one here on Bitcointalk will fall for this filthy scam coin. If you guys want to see how a classic rug pull on UniSwap looks like, please see the screenshot attached:

I also updated the thread once again and added the following four projects to the DeFi-scam list:

Last Update: 15.10.2020

15/10/2020
  • added CBDAO (BREE) (Exit Scam)
  • added Yearn.Finance Red (Stolen Content)
  • added MOOswap (UniSwap liquidity Rug Pull)
  • added Cache (CXCHE) (Fake Team)

I also added a thread to the "additional threads" section, which I recently created on the Beginner's & Help board: Beginner's Guide: Don't fall for DeFi-Airdrop-Scams

Thanks once again to everyone, who is fighting these scams! I really appreciate your help guys!  Smiley

Another quick update for the thread. This time I added five projects to the DeFi-scam list.

Last Update: 13.10.2020

13/10/2020
  • added YYFI.Protocol (Plagiarism)
  • added SMARTSPEC (Plagiarism)
  • added Yieldly (Fake Photos)
  • added YearM.Finance (Clone of Yearn.Finance)
  • added FreeUniSwap (Clone of Uniswap)

Concerning YYFI.Protocol: They clearly plagiarized some parts of an old whitepaper (Loligo). Thanks to @Jawhead999, who found out about this case.

I find they're doing plagiarism from a dead coin named Loligo. This is some red flags I found...

I also added two clones to the list (YearM.Finance & FreeUniSwap). Both entries might not be separate projects, but both are DeFi-related scams. And since the original projects UniSwap and Yearn.Finance are currently being hyped, I thought it would be a good idea to make people aware that there are several clones/fakes out there. Always make sure you are entering the correct website - don't fall for clones and never share your private key!
