Crypto Swap Exchange

When compared to a swap from crypto to crypto, yes, but with Paypal, it's something different, it's a normal rate. If you search on LocalBitcoin for example you can easily find yourself with a rate twice as high.

Not bad I would say, I'd rather use such a website and pay a 10% rate than use LocalBitcoin, to pay 20% and have the risk to have a chargeback on top of that.

Fair enough. The reason I didn't recommend it though is that I was comparing the rates to the ones I usually find here in the forum (1:1 or +5% tops) and not other platforms.

Has anyone tried Swapy.app before? I'd like to hear some of your thoughts about it. Also, do you guys think I should start adding platforms like UniSwap, Curve, etc. or should we stick with BTC exchanges?

Looked at Swapy.app for something and then foud this thread.
They have 6 coins 2 of which I never heard of. I don't think you are going to find many users.

Also, I would just keep to BTC exchanges, if you start to add every UniSwap type place it's going to become too cluttered. If you really want to do that I would put it in a separate post, probably in the Altcoins section since with most (all?) of them there is no way to get BTC. It's all ETH.

This topic brought me here again. I needed for an instant exchange for Forkcoins a few times, but wouldn't know which one to trust. Simpleswap.io for instance has a low minimum amount, but their topic has mixed reviews.

It would be really great if you can add a (un)reliability rating to the list.

Another service that could be added to this list. There is a particularity, the service has Paypal (USD) to make an exchange.

I've used this exchange before. IIRC, I didn't have any issues with it, except for some delays. I'll add it to the list, thanks! I wouldn't recommend using it for exchanging PP funds though. The fees are way too high.

If you haven't noticed it yet, all these types of sites work the same way more or less and can ask the users at any time their personal information. You can see it in the  UAs or the T&Cs.
Sometimes it is not explicitly stated or it is subtle to make the user believe that there's really none. Or sometimes they intentionally omit to say it.

Few examples below

I didn't add InstaSwap because I couldn't test it. Most of the currencies there require a high amount as a minimum and I didn't have access to all my funds. If you've tested it before, let me know.
I haven't ever used InstaSwap and I will never use it. It would better to avoid this exchange.
According to their terms and conditions they may apply KYC to users at any time and ask for their documents.
The worst part is that, if someone deny to pass KYC, they will do whatever they want with the sent fund.

Quote
By accepting these Terms you agree to pass through the AML/KYC procedure, which may be applied to you or may be requested by Instaswap in some cases. During the AML/KYC procedure, Instaswap reserves the right to request additional information and documents, including but not limited to scan of your ID document valid in your country and additional information of the funds' origin. In limited cases (such as to verify your identity in order to pass the AML/KYC procedure or police investigation), we reserve the right to freeze your exchange transaction for any period of time necessary to complete the investigation and AML/KYC procedure. After a period of 30 days if you deny to pass through the AML/KYC procedure it is in our judgment what we will do with your funds. If you deny to pass through the AML/KYC procedure or don’t provide Instaswap with the requested documents and information, Instaswap has the right to refuse to execute your transactions (current and future).

Alrighty, you should be good to rock and roll!

XMR wallet was being funky... I'm going to test that more this evening.

Looks good now. I just rechecked the TXIDs and they're valid. Thanks! PM'ed you about a new transaction I made.

The following exchanges have been added to the OP (after trying them):

- EasyBit
- SideShift
- FreeBitcoins.com
- CoinSwitch
- SpaceSwap (similar to CoinSwitch)

I didn't add InstaSwap because I couldn't test it. Most of the currencies there require a high amount as a minimum and I didn't have access to all my funds. If you've tested it before, let me know.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns in regards to FreeBitcoins.  I'm the boss over there at the moment and I handle all of the customer services!

I just tried to exchange some DOGE to XMR and LTC and it appears that only the Litecoin transactions are going through. I got 2 invalid TXIDs from XMR. I'm not that familiar with Monero, so I'm not sure if the problem is coming from my side or the site's.

Checking into it now.

Edit: Looks like something on our end.  We are on it and will have it sorted just shortly.  You're right, XMR is kinda strange, but I like it though too.  Anyways, I'll update shortly.

BAC, you know I support FBC.com but I have yet to try out the exchange function.  Right now there aren't any altcoins that I fancy, but I do keep an eye on the website daily.

Perhaps this fall you will see a reason for using us!  <3 Tongue

OP does coinswitch.co also fall in this category of instant exchanges? If it does then here are the details:
Name:  Coinswitch
Ann thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-coinswitchco-cryptocurrency-exchange-aggregator-platform-100-altcoins-2041972
I happened to notice coinswitch.co, as it's one of only a handful of exchanges that lists curecoin (oddly enough, on the curecoin website in the exchanges section, they apparently link to coinswitch(dot)net, which my browser flags as dangerous.

In any case, I think coinswitch.co should be listed in the OP, because I think it's a legit instant exchange (though I haven't tried it out yet).  Not sure if OSS is updating this thread or not, though I did see he posted here today.

@OmegaStarScream

I've re-read the topic and didn't find the sites mentionned in.
I found a few other services if you can take a look at them and complete your list if they're good enough.
I didn't search on the web for reviews or something similar (just collected information), so I can't comment on their legitimacy

PM sent, but I decided to post here anyways (if that's a problem... just let me know and I can delete this post!)

Other than that it seems to be the most reliable one, can you rearrange them according to reliability, member reviews or fees?

Member's reviews from platforms like TrustPilot? If so, then I think that would be a waste of time since these reviews can be bought. I'm not sure about ordering them by fees either, since these don't differ much.

I am seeing that totle swap has many options but no BTC option. Strange!

Are you sure those above-mentioned sites are trusted enough?

Regards

You're referring to Totle and LS or the ones suggested by LeGaulois? If the former, then I'm not sure, that's why I didn't add them to the list yet, I'm looking for some reviews from people who used them.

Looks like they do have KYC, but on a case-by-case basis. So in the KYC field it should say something like "No/depends".
