I believe there's a lot of decentralized exchange in the market, but the problem is only few are trusted.
Honestly, I don't trust them in general but sometimes when I have no choice, I have to use them, of all the decentralized exchange available, I only experience using IDEX and Etherdelta.
Even Binance DEX is not totally dex for me. It is only the name that says it is dex but somehow they have control over that exchange. Idex and Forkdelta are the two dex platform that i used often when needed, got no problem with these two exchange so far.

These are 2 popular dex and many users. but the trading volume on it is very low. perhaps because users do not trust such decentralized dex.

Openledger and Citadel are the ones I have used before.  Most of the DEX I have been are not really that friendly user and the pages loads very slow. Non of the DEX so far has listed some TRX and EOS tokens which is quite frustrating because its easy to add ERC on dexes.
Still few users even after years of existence, if maybe all the centralized exchanges are hacked, we will start using dex.

There are exchanges that built on Bitshares network, and some of them turned into dead DEXes. Remember that there are some disadvantages fo DEXes, and users have to self-secure their private keys or seeds more carefully. Losing private keys or seeds and backups of such stuffs will cause account and money. DEXes don't support users to get private keys or seeds back.

Thanks for the links. I haven't heard most of them honestly. I only used etherdelta, forkdelta, waves dex, CB, & idex so far.  I didn't know that there are a lot of dexs that are existing already. At least we have so many options to choose now but not all tokens or coins that we're looking for can be found in one of these exchanges only.

I only know 2 DEX that i believe are actually dex or close to it, i'm asking your opinion on what exchanges you think are dex too! Actual dex and not like binance "dex" or others projects we have seen that are just complying to KYC

Thanks! (Read the update)

Updated List:

  • A tier:

Switchdex.ag - 1 payment feeless trading for life, Really Fast, Constant updates.

Etherdelta - Extremely low fees.

  • B tier:

Forkdelta - Great Dex but it reports a lot of fake volume/orders, Still a good dex that does the job correctly.

Token Jar - Great project with some innovations worth watching. Problem it is really slow.

BisQ - Good UI and fast. (Researching more)

  • C tier:

Citadel - Quite slow not real dex

IDex - Overall good + Different style. Just learned that looks like they will also comply to the delisting of some alts or something similar to the Binance problem so i'm moving it from a to c, a fall from grace imo.

Waves Dex - Have some centralized features that kill the DEX meaning.

DDex - Not a real Dex, this exchange can actually collect your info and store it in case you break their rules, this is correct according to their own faq, thanks for pointing it out.

  • D tier:

Binance Dex - didn't even want to place it. the only thing that might come from this exchange is that more people gets into dex

If you got more please reply and if you can also say why you think it's a dex, i'll also research it and i'll add it to the list

Researching these was hard since the amount of PR articles is high, please keep listing your exchanges and if you are new to dex do recommend to stay in the A tier.
