So all pairs from them are delisted? Usually cexes delist pairs that don't have enough volume so they don't need to waste market makers / liquidity on them.
But then again it wouldn't surprise me if kucoin delisted 70% of their tokens. They have a reputation of listing absolutely every shit token out there.

That of Tomochain surprised me, actually. I thought that project is a good one but don't know what indeed happened. I quickly did a check on its price immediately I saw this thread. It's trading around 42cents now and that's still way ahead of its ATL which was 13cents according to Coingecko data. Tomo was one of those projects I missed buying at its earlier stage as it was already high when I noticed it. Now that this news is emanating, I think I'm going to consider taking another look at it. Perhaps after the drama, who knows it may still be there for a taking.

This means nothing to me, Tokocrypto for example has 42% of it's volume on Binance exchange, and the token is listed on many others like gate, bkex, wazirx, MXC and more, it's just unfortunate that the volume on Kucoin is under 50,000$ compare to 3.4million volume on Binance exchange alone, this point is invalid to me, delisting doesn't mean the end or a project is bad.

You are right in what you said which is marked in black bold, delisting doesn't mean the end of a project or the project is bad, they just don't meet the requirements anymore to be traded on KuCoin. But you're wrong in what you said which is marked in red bold, the info presented by the OP is very helpful here, we don't know whether there are holders of the tokens aware of the delisting news or not, so at least the OP saved them from their unconscious so they can make withdrawals before the token/coin really can no longer operate on KuCoin.

I am disappointed hyperr that is the defunct udoo and idex have been delisted. What happened to the teams? I thought they were reliable, especially idex. Too bad
Probably this is just the result of their failed updates with the project and the hype was gone already, so you can expect the downside of the project but this is not the end yet since there’s still have the chance to bet listed into other exchange. Try to look for their progress, and see if Kucoin made the right decision on delisting them, for sure  all of this alts fall into a category that is not ok with Kucoin, too bad for the long term investor of those projects.

Kucoin is not a big exchange like Binance so impacts from delisting news on Kucoin are less than from Binance. However, I would like to warn altcoin lovers that it is a kind of risk.

The impact will be on the hodlers of this coin, what will happen if there are no exchanges that list them? they might as well go and die?

In bear market, exchanges are more actively delist coins that brings risk to altcoin lovers. You can find altcoins with very lovely charts, prices fall to likely bottom areas and trading volumes become very low than previously. It looks like good signals of bottom and only wait for great recovery.

Unfortunately, it is not true in reality. If exchanges go ahead with delisting, there will be no recovery but will be another crash and you get loss.

Correct, bear market is a true test how this altcoin projects are going to survived. The first sign though that they might not last this bear market is them being delisting by some exchanges because of inactivity. So again this is going to be bad for their investors and as it's movement as going to be limited on small exchanges that are still listing them for trades.

Thanks for sharing the information. However, if I may ask, what could be the reason(s) for KuCoin delisting the coins/tokens? Is it that they have low trading volume? Or the team behind the coins are corrupt or could not meet some desirable requests from KuCoin? Knowing the reasons could help some holders of the coin to continue holding in some other exchange or sell the token/coin outright.

Not sure what could be the reason, but I could speculate that maybe majority of them are not that active in the trading floor, or the devs completely abandon them, so yeah small to no volume. I wouldn't say that they are corrupt, I think it's one of the most reputable coin, but if this coins are not making them money so obviously they will have to de-list them and have some new coins replace them. That's has been the practice of most top tier exchanges such as Binance and Coinbase, de-listing coins with no strings attached.

These altcoins are indeed shitcoins. I don't know any altcoins from the list.
Kucoin Exchange is a famous exchange for gem hunting, gem hunters know about this, Kucoin is your friend. As there are a lot of small market caps before that listed on this exchange if you want to find some quality altcoins but high risk also.
Since there are already lot of decentralized exchanges now, Kucoin became not that popular already because you can buy new altcoins on decentralized exchange, and that's why for sure Kucoin started to delist a lot of altcoins because of low trading volume already.
Many of those alts are once popular here in the forum but I wonder why you didn't recognize even a few of them? There are some who are not popular in the forum but are still popular outside. Mobox for example and to be honest im kinda shocked a bit when kuckoin is planning to delist it, but how when I think they aren't a shitcoin and I think their volume are still high.

Oh well, I guess we can't do much about it. That was their platform so they have the rights to do what they want. I think even kucoin delists these altcoins, they are still listed on other exchanges including on the ones that are on the top. We can do a research to be sure before we panic and sell them permanently.

Never heard about half of those coins to be honest. Exchanges are dying month by month, FTX was only the first. I think we'll lose at least one more this year.

This is very serious and I think one of the reasons why they are delisted is because the team might not be ready to tender the necessary documents and the team behind many of those projects. The numbers are high and I just pity for those that are holding some of the coins because that alone can make the price to fall drastically without you knowing the reasons.
it's just common sense of getting rid some of the coins that have insufficient trading volume. nothing complicated behind it, it's just these coins are losing its fame and the exchanges aren't really eager in keeping this coin in their platform.
this is why holding some old coins might be disadvantageous towards our investments they could just gets delisted out of the blue, the listing in famous exchange aren't forever, instead it will always be like a race where you should prevent your coin trading volume from falling.
even worse is that, even if your coin still have quite the trading volume, it might gets delisted out of the blue, of course delisting like this wouldn't happen in coin that already big enough like btc, eth even meme coins like doge coin, what matters most is the fame and trading volume.

or better yet, most of these alts don't have active trading orders anymore. i've seen good project from the list, and well, their lifespan is really not that long. the more reason you can give to yourself to stick with btc and top alts.
the worry also about these alts is that if you haven't been keeping up with their updates, you will indeed end up holding bag of worthless coins or tokens.

So many coins and quite few of them are actually good project back in the past getting delisted, it was rather frustating that so many coins that have high market capitalization eventually falls and getting delisted, even though it is part of their effort in increasing the efficiency of their system to make their exchange not getting overly populated with some low trading volume coins and more likely to open up chance for new coin listing.

I must say among all these coins, am a bit disappointed about sov being among the list, those who pariticipate in the signature campaign will understand what i meant. Too bad the team where too greedy in my opinion.
Just because of signature campaign or bounty campaign conducted here, there can be nothing stopping an altcoin to be a shitcoin. I have watched many altcoins which was into top 25 ranking in coinmarketcap and then getting delisted from major exchanges due to lack of volumes. In my understanding, if a coin is capable of attracting enough traders to generate volumes on day-to-day basis then it will not get delisted.

So, not having enough adapters must be the simple reason why we do come across this kind of delisting news very frequently from exchanges. When a coin is not meeting a basic criteria, then there will be no point on having it in a trading portal; exchanges are doing right, I agree.

I agreed with you, Kucoin isn’t a major exchanges as like Binance but also it's not a small exchange, you know all of the projects aren’t able to list in Binance but when Kucoin is their big exchange and i see a lot of coins here only listed Kucoin, now what happened with those coins investors? i think definitely it will a big affect for many projects.

Thanks for the heads up, good thing that I've read all those delisted coins in that exchange. Honestly, some of those altcoins that was delisted were actually not that popular, do not have a good crypto use and doesn't have a good trading volume at all. Hence, there are still new altcoins that are potentially be good and can be choose to be traded on some exchange like kucoin and binance.

Some of the coins that are listed are already in the market like 5 years ago when I'm starting to learn crypto. Coins such as: PIVX, Populous, Tomochain, Tokocrypto, Augur, Bancor, Power Ledger, Metahash, IDEX.

I saw Credits and SOV on the list as well. The 2 projects that I almost invested my money with. Credits has one of the most successful ICO's way back in 2017, and I will not forget that one while SOV is the one that I followed, but unfortunately I didn't have money by the time I want to invest into it.

Some of the coins are NFT game coins, and some are just unpopular. Kucoin has been there for years, but I'm not using it at all since I only use Binance. Anyway, coin delisting often leads to a huge loss to the price of the coin so a bit unfortunate for those who are holding these coins. Hope they managed to withdraw their assets there and sold it.
