Feel free to add to the list.

After a lot of research, I figured I would make a list of projects that actually solves some of the key problems we see in our daily lives. There are thousands of crypto projects out there among all the meme coins, scam coins, and dead projects that deserve to get some spotlight.

Bitcoin
The KING of crypto. First mover, store of value.

Ethereum
Smart contracts and a huge network of projects build on top of it.

Chainlink
Decentralized Oracle Network.

Basic Attention Token
Removes the middleman between advertisers and publishers

DIVI Project
"Crypto Made Easy" - Eases the entry barrier to cryptocurrencies, making it as simple to use as possible. (I.E: Send money straight from your bank account to the DIVI wallet).

Monero
Privacy, plain and simple.

These are just a few... Feel free to add your own!  Wink

most of crypto can make things easier, but unfortunately in my country crypto still cannot be implemented in daily life. crypto only used as investment behind gold and stocks

So many projects have good use cases but some are juts not needed to be in crypto space, meaning people or investors don't have interest in such projects, I've seen devs abandoning a project to build another from scratch because people don't have interest in the first project

Agreed., I'm a big fan of looking for consortium and foundation projects. Why? because typically the projects are built to the specification of the consortium / foundation members. You get adoption before even launching.

So how does releasing a crypto help further this project. Does the project hold a certain amount of crypto and as the value goes up they can use this money to further the project or is at as results of users on the blockchain or some other technology. Also, what causes the value of the crypto to go up is it something this project does or is it supply versus demand of the buyers and seller of the crypto. I'm not disagreeing with you as I am new and I am trying to understand.

If you think of green assets - solar panels, electric vehivles, smart meters, charging stations. It's too distributed for energy corps to effectively manage / profit from. Also some of those assets are owned by consumers. So Energy Web runs an (EVM - Ethereum Virtual Machine) compatible chain. It runs on proof of authority so that it's fast enough for IoT devices etc. It's actually operated by huge corps validators.energyweb.org. Anyway so it's basically a faster ETH with some tweaks. First there's purpose built energy services built into the chain called EW-DOS which lets corporates do things like sell green certificates, provide grid flexibility, peer to peer trading etc...  anyway that's the high level concept.

You asked about what will drive the price... scarcity. EWT is needed for gas and to pay for all services. Theres a validator layer and a utility layer. The validator layer is run by "validator nodes" energy companies that need the token for services. The utility layer is run by "urility nodes" that offer services like decentralized IDs, messaging service, file storage etc..

On the validator side the node operators need the token for utility. So the token's they mint have incentive to be spent not dumped on exchange. And the services they buy (from utility layer) have to be done a year in advance using an escrow model. So say I have a wind turbine that I want to sell certificates with... I have to by my EWT today for the whole year. Then as I use services the EWT is released to the utility nodes that rendered the service.

Staking is also coming which will further dry up supply. The way I think it will work is that we can stake against utility nodes so that as they get paid for services we get a percentage. Should be in the next few months but no date confirmed on staking start.

Last point is that because energy web is an EVM any dapp developer can launch something on it. They have a wasm compiler which means millions of devs can code smart contracts without knowing solidity. There's going to be millions of energy assets on chain this year. I believe there will be an energy dapp run similar to DeFi in the coming years. So this "general" dapp development will provide further scarcity / gas fees and invester awareness.

Here's a good post on reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/EnergyWeb/comments/l7731j/why_energy_web_is_bigger_then_you_think/

I hear what you say and I understand why investors always ask that question "what is the real-life purpose of the project" but come to think about it, has there been any crypto project regardless of what it is listed for as you mentioned above that investors are not concerned about if they can make profit "MONEY" out of their investment? As far as I know, all investors main aim is Profit including Elon Musk  Grin Grin Grin

So to me, once I can invest in any project be it BTC, ETH, or any other as long as I can make a profit from my investment, REAL LIFE PROBLEM SOLVED cos that's my bottom line for investing.

I have different "steps" of investment.
Step 1 - 50% of funds.
-bitcoin
-Ethereum
-Polkadot
-Cardano

Step 2 - 30% of funds
The graph
Aave
Atom
Synthetic

Step 3 - 15% of funds
Higher risk (in my opinion)  and higher gain stuff.
Unistake
BitTorrent

Step 4 - 5% of funds
Stuff that has very low price, very low market cap and most likely will not succeed in the long run, but if they do this 5% will turn into a lot more than the other 95%.

That's just my 2cents. I invest to the long run (1 year at minimum). Totaly unprofessional here, just seems decent to me.

There are too many projects that solve problems in crypto space, it's just that some aren't well welcomed by consumers or should I say adopters? Some use cases are ignored and the projects are forced to go down, apart from scam projects we have many good projects but not all are really needed

seriously check our energy web token. green energy assets need blockchain to properly scale. look at their partners https://energyweb.live/partners and projects https://energyweb.live/projects they're even working alongside Google and Microsoft as part of the EnergyTag foundation which is bringing hourly energy certificates to maket. check https://energytag.org and scroll down to partners section. it's a low risk future top 20 project. dyor but don't wait too long before looking into it.

Except the master coins you have added DIVI in your list sounds to me new concept or never heard about it before. Went through their paper, DIVI is trying to make wallet like binance only. They have also come out with exchanger, wallet, holding interests and crypto debit cards.

Don’t know how successful they are with their debit cards but these days such projects need to be true to their end. Many of them tried to launch such platforms but failed to satisfy the end user.

Launching debit cards sounds good idea but hard to maintain in the ecosystem when it comes to the rules and regulations of different countries.

It would be a real problem solver if it successfully being used by millions already.

Bitcoin might be king of all, but has many issues counting from the extreme fees, wait time of transaction etc. May be not a real problem solver. Have many things to improve Wink

Low cap underutilized gambling coin.  Decentralized gambling.  Offers in wallet betting against the chain.  Wins mint more coins losses get burned.  No 3rd parties to lock up your accounts, no maximum bet amount ,etc.  Truely decentralized.  Not that I condone gambling but there is a massive industry with plenty of scrupulous companies screwing their customers.  Only thing is price volatility.  So it solves and issue but there are some cons.

Ethereum network has solved a lot of real life or actual life problems. When eth network started how many years ago, it became a great smart contract in many projects and those projects became successful in the market. But now, it became a topic in the forum for the past few days because of its gas fee.

I do not like the store of value part of bitcoin, i want bitcoin to be a currency and then a store of value on top of that. The network is again full in the past two days and it is taking a long time to get the confirmation.

Monero is a great private coin and when regulations are implemented we need to rethink about their market situation.

Ethereum when will they sort the issues with the transaction charges, how long people will be willing to spend high fees till they move on.

Defi and yield farming are the biggest revenue generating sources for crypro enthusiasts and rightly so they uave been trending for last many months now but to make yield farming easier and hassle free their are many projects available now that solves all the complications and you can easily just opt at their platforms and rest will be managed by them, im talking about projects like swissborg, yield app and ousd and i think these are solving a big problem for thousands of people.

DIVI Project
I have doubts on this project. I think this is the 3rd or 4th thread that I've seen that's just recently made to discuss things that are about crypto but including this project on this discussion.
It's kind of obvious to see that there are discussions like this and includes the project that many are not familiar with.
Well, for me, I've seen the project around but I've never tried to find out about what they are all about, am even surprised it appeared here as one of best cryptos that used a real problem, and to be sincere, I don't agree with the op on divi, that one can deposit directly from his or her local bank account to the divi platform isnt a problem they are the first to solve, there are several other projects out there even very successful ones that have solved this problem, binance is an example, I can deposit my local currency from my local bank account directly to my binance account with my card very easily. So if this is only problem divi solved, then they havnt solved any problem at all

Binance is a centralized website holding your funds for you. When you deposit to your own DIVI wallet, you hold all the assets on your own.

It's the same concept as holding your coins in your own wallet, instead of holding them on an exchange.

Most projects are trying to solve a problem, either large or small. If you are looking for unique projects in different fields you will most likely bumb upon a few, as progress forces copying others and improving a model.

You left out:

Ripple
Solving the banking efficiency and transparency in monetising transactions

BCH
Cheaper solution to Bitcoin

Litecoin

The team will always find someone very enthusiastic about their project particularly the ones who hold a big amount of it, they shill and make threads like this one. Some of the projects of course truly serve and solve a real problem until something else comes up to disrupt the team. Old project wouldn't even mature like its planned on the roadmap but a newer project with same function will arise making the old one worthless. OP is just shilling for that DIVI.

EWT - Distributed Green Energy

Green energy assets like solar panels, batteries, wind turbines pose a problem for energy companies. They're decentralized. So how are the likes of Shell, Eneco, Tepco etc.. going to make money if their assets are distributed. Blockchain to the rescue. Energy Web Chain is basically a faster Ethereum (PoA EVM) with built in tools purpose built for the energy sector. They have energy exchange for selling / buying green energy certificates. Flex toolkits for grid balancing. Gaurantees of origin etc... Not to mention because it's EVM it's open to any dapp the energy eco system wants to deliver. CiveQ is building something similar to Efforce on it. Share&Charge is building certifiable green charging stations on it. There's going to be peer to peer trading. Green blockchains etc... list goes on. Not to mention it was purpose built by a foundation of energy companies. Check out their comunity site at https://energyweb.live for a quick look at their partners and projects. It's insane.

D4RK - Privacy For Everything

They're working toward building privacy services on the DOT ecosystem. Not just private transactions... privacy services. The implication is bigger then what we know now as privacy chains. So what does this mean?? Well the low hanging fruit they're working now is private storefronts and ipfs clusters. BUT because they're going to be on DOT and it's interoperable... it doesn't end there. What about private data marketplace for OCEAN so you could sell you data for profit without divulging your info. Private self sovereing id so you can authenticate for a service (they gaurentee your registered) but they don't have to know your name or your habits. Say at a local gym for example. Privacy can be at mass scale in a way that is still bound to rules. Say you don't know who I am but scanning my card proves I'm 21 and legal citizen - so you let me into the pub. No name, address, height, gender... nada. This is a huge opportunity D4RK and obviously private transactions are still a thing Wink

OCEAN - New Data Asset Class

They're creating a new assets class - data marketplaces. Their compute to data functionality means you can run computations on data sets without ever having access to the raw datasets. Who cares?? well for one, auto manufacturers. Specifically Daimler (Mercedes) was the first. Why? Consider the amount of data needed for AI. Tesla currently has the data advantage in the self driving car space because they have all the time on the road. But what if auto firms could share their raw data without ever having to give up proprietary information or algorithms. That's what OCEAN can let you do

Those are my top three. EWT because green energy macro trend. D4RK because nobody sees it coming and it can eventually privatize all of your daily transactions. OCEAN because data is the new oil.

last one would be a decentralized identification chain to help unbanked and undocumented. something like SOV but personally not a big fan.
