If I could add something to the list it'd be the price conversion that most crypto casinos don't have. In a way, it's similar to the cashless games as you don't know how much you'd be potentially risking per bet, and without having a convenient way to know the current price i'd just estimate it based on the previous price I remember. Usually, it works but it's not good to be careless when there are times that crypto goes down a lot within a day or two.
Maybe we can overcome this by having the discipline to risk the same bet and not changing it to a higher value because of course, the risk will also increase. But I guess there are crypto casinos that use fiat conversion for betting so we can see how much USDT we are using per bet. If we only use various bet values without limits, it is the same as increasing the risk of losing money. Thus, it does not help us reduce the risk of losing money in gambling and can relate to our mentality after playing gambling for a few rounds.

Though these psychological tricks are present in an actual casino, I wonder if there are similar tricks or different methods where they can integrate this kind of thinking in online casinos. Do you guys also think that there are any psychological trick/s that are adopted in online gambling casinos as well?
With online casinos it is quite hard to read the user minds. With real Casinos everything is visible and face expressions itself more than enough to understand a person's situation. With online casinos only thing that can be done is triggering. Whenever we search something related to gambling then onwards Google keeps suggesting things related to it. In such a way gamblers might get triggered to gamble and such tricks as real casinos can't be made effective.

For a real physical casino, the best thing that casino can do is to make people stay for as long as possible so that they may spend more money. This money can be the one that they brought with them or it can be the money that they have won at the same moment in the casino.
Casinos usually hire attractive girls in the casino which keeps the players busy in the casino and they usually keep spending money gambling while in company with the gambling house girls.

For physical casinos I would like to add bands and entertainment there is a cocktail lounge in some famous casinos where players can unwind for another round of games and I find this feature very appealing to players and one of the casinos' strong features once they unwind they will be motivated to play and gamble again and of course, that's profit for physical casinos.

well, many physical casinos have sexy women as employees to serve customers and most of the time these employees wear very short clothes so they can divert attention from customers and they don't focus on the game, not to mention that in these physical casinos they also have alcoholic beverages which is also another item that causes customers to lose concentration on the game and as a consequence lose money at the casino. but what is the strangest thing about all this and all people know this and even so they prefer to go to the physical casino because they are just looking for that kind of fun

The reason is main goal of the casino is to bring entertainment and of course, if you make an observation most of the men are gamblers and one of the satisfaction that can bring the casino is the desires of the players. People who are already satisfied with the things currently they have most of the time neglect the negative side as long as they are enjoying the things they currently experience.

Nope its kinda the same since most of the time they use winning scenarios where people get curious to see about how those people earn that way upon playing to their casino. This is why we see they post those huge win because for sure they can increase the curiosity of the people who seek money from playing gambling. Also the entertainment factor is another method they made that's why they caught up many people to play at their casino.

Posts of big winners definitely can stir the interest of some players.
It is like their motivation to have the same fate, but unfortunately, it is no easy feat.
But a good way to advertise the casino as it means, they are also capable of paying up big winnings.

Such fake posts may help them get more money out of the pockets of the gamblers as other gamblers will also want to try their luck but that is something unethical on the casino's part.

However, there are legal tricks that casino do to attract people psychologically like giving them a bonus and a lot of promotions on deposits, etc. Casino know that the more the people deposit, the more people will play and lose  Smiley

Oh this is very interesting! I actually did not notice that casinos tend to hide their clocks but it makes sense as it prevents people from knowing what time it is. In addition, all of the casinos I previously visited have this "chip" system where you exchange cash for these and they represent the main currency in that gambling establishment.

One of the senses that casinos manipulate is the smell. Everyone who has been in a casino probably knows what I am talking about. It is not that they smell all the same, but they usually have some special smell that you then quickly connect with positive emotions and memories. Las Vegas is a good example. All the casino places there have a refreshing smell and it is said to make players stay longer and be more prone to gamble for more money.

Would you care to try a give a description of those scents you are talking about?
I have never been in a big casino or I had not considered the possiblity they used the scent of their facilities to keep people coming.

I did not assume casinos had a bad scent or were unpleasant but I thought there was nothing special about it, just the regular smell one could find in any regular well-cleaned hotel or something like it.

Near-misses could really give out that kind of hopes and triggering out emotions inside of you specially it do really goes effective whenever you do really have that hope on chances on hitting those jackpots or

high multipliers which whenever you do experience these near misses then you would normally be thinking that maybe next time it would really be a clean hit on the spot which do make out that desperation until

you havent notice that you are gradually blowing up your entire capital for that gambling session.Next? You would lost all of your funds and you would be coming back on the next day
and funding up your account and aim on the same thing all over again and again.

I happen to see some pattern on this near-miss thing.  An example of the pattern I saw is on some slots games on Play'n Go.  I happen to experience this several times, when a game such as Reactoonz gives us a cliffhanger scenario but never gives the bonus round, there is a huge chance that it will not give us the bonus round and the following spins are almost dead spin.  Same goes with wild frames, Honey Rush, Gigantoons etc.  So whenever I see this kind of setup, I stop chasing the bonus round and just hop on the other slots.
There are indeed instances which you could really able to somewhat finding some patterns on some scenarios and once you do prove it out or totally experience it all over again and again with real engagement

and this is where you do really make some steps on avoiding it since you do know on what would happen next but honestly speaking everything is really that random but we cant really just resist whenever our
intuition and feeling inside would be telling us on skipping that round yet we've been fucked up for how many times with that kind of set-up.
So it is really depending on someone on how they would assess out such things.

There is a whole lot of interesting research on how all of our senses are exploited or abused to manipulate us and that also applies to casinos of course. One of the senses that casinos manipulate is the smell. Everyone who has been in a casino probably knows what I am talking about. One of the articles is called "How casinos manipulate our senses to encourage more gambling". It is worth a read, but there is also much more about "sensory priming". So yes casinos do in fact manipulate their customers from many angles that a lot of people aren't even aware of.

Not only sexy but gorgeous women staff.  This makes man to come back to the casino in hope to see the female stuff they are attracted with regularly.  This is one of the best trick of land base casino in luring more players to their establishments.  While online casino lure players by offering lots of bonuses, competition and and many promotions.

5. Near-Misses

Slot machines can be programmed to use near-misses, which can keep players playing. A near-miss is when someone comes close to winning.

A slot machine player might get four out of the five symbols needed to win. When they see they’re only a symbol away from the top prize, they get filled with excitement. Even though they don’t win the jackpot, they might believe they have a better chance of winning next time. They may also fear that if they stop playing, they’ll miss their opportunity to win big.

Researchers investigated the effects of near-misses on the brain and found that near-misses stimulate the brain’s reward system despite no monetary reinforcement. So, just the excitement of almost winning can be just as pleasurable as actually winning. This effect increases the desire to keep playing and may also be associated with a gambling addiction.

Many slots players fall for this.  I also observed this when I play slots.  I have lots of experience like this, at first, it do affect me to be excited and bet more since I felt I am almost there to hit the bonus round but later, I have gotten used to it.  I just think, if it hits it hits, near-miss is nothing special and just another none bonus-triggering spin.

These 3 things that you've mentioned are really common psychological tricks that casinos do. However, I think that the first one which is "Enticing Design" isn't really about a psychological trick at all since all businesses/establishment are somehow has a great interior design however Casinos are more of on the luxurious side as their target are huge paying customers or gamblers.
It is not only casinos that use these psychological tricks. Almost all the activities that take place in large covered areas such as major malls, bars and restaurants as well. I do not understand why the author of the topic seems surprised by this.
The most important factor that casinos provide is the amount of luxury that the visitor feels, which increases his sense of comfort that prevents him from leaving even if he wins and encourage him to come back again.
These plans are taught in universities specializing in marketing. It is not new.

You mention one good case, I mean the camaraderie amongst gamblers and even the casino employee themselves. As I have observed that majority of them knows each other already and I was just thinking maybe it was here in this casino that this people meet and maybe became friends outside, who knows. And so they come back, see this people again, have a chat and ask how much they are winning or losing, anything that strikes a combination.
Chat interaction will make gamblers get to know each other, and if they know each other, they will automatically return to the site to gamble right, the striking difference between physical and online casinos is just that. I think it's a psychological trick too, when our friends or other people win and announce it in chat will make us to try any game he has been won, but that's not bad because there are many benefits in a chat any information etc.
This is very correct and this only can make gamblers to return to casinos many times because they have friends who might be online and they can chat with. When there is consistent interaction between gamblers, they tend to make friends and shares strategies and winnings with other gamblers which can motivate the ones that have been having difficult time with gambling. There are may ways casinos can attract gamblers to join there platform which involves different strategies and technologies.
