LTC only falling all this years. Smart to sell it now.

i think you really need to go through a course of English language to learn the basics. or at least open up a dictionary. because nowhere in the world people call going from $4 to $90 a "drop".
maybe you failed the first grade math!

find a 7 year old and they can teach you that 90 is bigger than 4 and going from 4 to 90 means rise in a year not "fall"
See the chart:

https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/litecoin-transactions.html

This Russian`s btc-e.com progect have zero progress for 5 years.
Have volume only during Pump stage.

Even DogeCoin is better than LTC:

There are some rumors about Litecoin have big update in September. From June, the price of Litecoin has increase after long time stand still low price around @0.012x - @0.010x BTC. Today, I also know detail about that update, thanks for information!
For what need all this updates if transactions less than DogeCoin?

They are testing lightning already. They already sent a transaction of 1 cent without any fees.

what are the prospects for litecoin?

Smart contracts and atomic swaps and lightning network are all coming.

It seems to me these things are going to have a significant impact on ltc's use and therefore may increase its value.

I bought it for $20 and will hold till the price reaches $1k or so.
LTC $1k can be only with Bitcoin over $100k.

LTC only falling all this years. And now at Pump phase. Will return to normal 0.005 very soon.
Smart to sell it now.

It will, literally, never happen.  LTC didn't go up this year by chance.  Charlie Lee's return, SegWit, Lightning Network, atomic swaps, CNBC feature (calling it a "must own"), etc.  It will be over $100 shortly and will see $300 by 2019.

but if the price is down until 0.005 like above you said, then i will buy more litecoin and hold as long as i can because i really like this coin. i don't know why but in the early i am joining into bitcoin industry, i am falling in love with litecoin and i've got some good feeling with this coin. $100 is coming for litecoin and i hope we don't have to wait for more.

We soon have Bitcoin with SegWit and Bitcoin Cash just debuted this week with 8 MB block size.

Whats the future and the use of Litecoin at current? I'm expecting Bitcoin Cash to get support and functionality within the coming months that Litecoin never managed in its ~8 years of life.

Why are people still investing into Litecoin?
Litecoin was released in 2011 by Charlie Lee. Litecoin is a relatively stable coin than other cryptocurrencies. If it’s technically nearly identical to the btc, litecoin network has some improvements over btc. Litecoin has the fast transaction than btc.

Litecoin seems to be gaining ground on being the 4th largest marketcap behind ripple. I think that litecoin could outgrow Ripple and Bitcoin cash at the end of the year with a 10 Billion dollar marketcap.

I totally agree.
I was playing on Litecoin's all summer, but as by the law the price raised after I sold my coins by 52$ price  Angry Honestly, I didn't hear any big news about Litecoin for a long time. That was a big surprise to see this morning 92$ price really. But now I see that Litecoin depends from Bitcoin and currently they both are falling.
Litecoin is the currency in whose success I'm sure more than in anything else. I bought it for $20 and will hold till the price reaches $1k or so. I know ltc isn't really a big step forward after btc but at least people are working on it and the coin has been around and trusted for a very long time. Moreover, no big problems like hacks and forks with eth never happened with ltc, so it's quite stable. It was and always will be somewhere around btc.

Litecoin is already well adopted and often used instead of bitcoin for the transfer of money due to its speed, it is also fairly stable relative to some cryptos. Litecoin has technologies such as Lightning that Bitcoin cash does and will not have. IMO Bitcoin cash has got some catching up to do if it wants to challenge litecoin.

I agree. Litecoin is pretty solid and without much problems that made it totally useless. Its around 8 years as a cryptocurreny has been a great thing for LTC. It is widely used actually. The fees are reasonable that is why it is one of the most circulated. And look at the exchanges right now, dumps are all over but not for LTC.  Wink

i don't understand why the frowny face is for. litecoin price had gone up from $4 to $50 and if you caught it anywhere on this way up you would have been in a huge profit and it would never matter what price it went to next.

also even if you someday sold some altcoin too soon and saw the rise continue then you can invest back! there is nothing stopping you from coming back in. you just get a smaller profit lets say you catch it at $65 and sell again at $90 that is still a big enough profit.
