Was wondering why litecoin gets mentioned many times these days... Almost forgot that there is an upcoming halving for the cryptocurrency. I read this will happen on the 14th of this month, right?

Litecoin had a strong base since it was created. If the litecoin is used as swap coin as like Ethereum to all the altcoin,it may reach the value of 200-300$.From it was introduced, litecoin had some good investment and demand in the market. Litecoin may reach the third rank in future.

Sure bulls will take over, I guess what made them spike temporarily of recent was just the recently concluded halving which has very little effect but not much, and since the halving is over, I guess it is high time it returns back to it normal value and await either bitcoin bull run or await their own altcoins season before we can talk of any tangible value for Litecoin and some other altcoins in the market.

It is not only Litecoin that bears has taken over, in fact Litecoin and some other top coins are still trying by keeping along with bitcoin in the top 50 in coin market, most of the other coins has even experienced and still experiencing the worst bear ever because they are not increasing in value a bit, but I believe that Litecoin value will rise soon before the end of the year.

for now there is no reason to buy, therefore there is no increase in demand in the market. for the long term Litecoin is still worth holding.

I am waiting for the price of Litecoin to fall deeper, then I will buy it.

Litecoin has been created for a few years, but the market value has been the top ten. I think the performance of Bitcoin will be very good next year. Maybe the price will be more than before. Looking forward to the market next year.

On the one hand, the technical parameters of the coin allow us to hope for growth. On the other hand, the altcoin season can only come in a couple of years (and LTC is probably still dependent on it).
LTC will put profit in the future, but there is a risk of freezing your money for a sufficiently long time.
Agreed on the fact, but what we see with Litecoin's price drop seems to be the beginning for the next level of growth. There is big hope over the growth of Litecoin relating to the block reward halving. This is not gonna bring big growth in the short term. Over the months we can expect Litecoin follow the growth of bitcoin and the growth based on halving can be expected on 2020
If based on the oscillatory nature of the market, then yes, growth is preceded by a decline. The same goes for the halving. But this forecast is only for these two reasons, it's only our desire. The reality may be that for the rise of LTC we just need the same altseason.

Actually this is not a altcoins season that's the fact we are in accumulation phase but soon it will be over. I'm pretty sure future will bring more interesting things for LTC because this is still under the radar but moving forward with healthy signs and from my point of view this could be smart investment in coming days.

Not only Litecoin but majority of the Altcoins are still in bad shape in which i think that this is because some of the Altcoin holders are moving in Bitcoin market that is why this unhealthy Altcoin performance is happening now.
I think that makes sense bro, is the speculation of Altcoo's own movements now very difficult to guess, maybe that could be one of the factors, so will this end quickly?

Not so quick, I guess because the altcoin only follows in where bitcoin price moves. And so far, bitcoin hardly to break the higher price and still turning around in below than $12k. So we need to wait for more, and if bitcoin price can break $12k, maybe we will see the altcoin especially litecoin, to go down again. But that is only a prediction, and we don't know what will happen later. So we need to wait for a while and see what will happen with the market.

And this will determine the bulls, people who got in before the halving and thought that a surge would come an instant after that will now decide whether to keep or start selling it.

For short term, I don't suggest to buy Litecoin but for someone who sees a good long term on it, I'll suggest to go for it. This sides with those people who are waiting for the 'altcoin season'.
Isn't it Litecoin just concluded their block halving? So I guess it's good to see this as an opportunity for long term profit. Although we are not yet in the altcoin season, we need to look at prospective coins that we can invest long term and maximise profit, and I think LTC is one of them, just saying.
Yes, last Monday. I'm also considering Litecoin as a good long term hold for altcoins but I don't want to suggest it to others who are starting to the market. They will just look on how reddish it is these days.

I've known newbies who don't look at that prospect because they are looking at the current price instead on how good the coin is. Anyway, this isn't a financial advice and they should keep researching for themselves before buying Litecoin.

The halving, is it a blessing or curse? In my mind i was thinking that litecoin is going to cross $150 after three days from the halving! Maybe we are too early and the effect from the halving maybe from next month or by the ending of this month. I rather stay with bitcoin now as it is the only one showing the sign of bullishness now.

What i know about that if the direction may go to the bottom because it will be losing the hype from those are betting on the litecoin's halving. The litecoin bears come caused by the bitcoin is in the bearish trend right now and i hope soon we will see the bitcoin will worth a lot again. But there was a big chance for litecoin to turn its way to the bearish trend consider the downtrend after halving in the old chart was real.

There was a same pattern in 2015 after halving. Before halving, the price increased and after halving price decreased a little. But the price increased again rapidly after thar fall. I guess that pattern is repeating. However due to current condition of altcoins market, I don't expect the price rise is as big as the past one.

90 dollars is all right for me,,, I am still waiting for old ATH to come for this coin, and when that happens I know a new ATH will come and I might sell a little bit, to convert back into Bitcoin.

Or the other way around for me too if BTC makes ATH first, then convert more into LTC.

Bears, bulls, I wait for 2022;)

Seems like Litecoin is still quite weak in the short term but bulls might have a chance in the long term with a really nice Monthly chart.

As like Ethereum, Litecoin is also one of the potential coin. But you need of patience to hold it for the longer period. Unlike bitcoin, all the altcoin is best to inverse your money for the long period. You should not get any panic at the dip. Holding gives you more profit from the cheaper altcoin.

People are really hoping for that altcoin season this isn't only applicable with LTC but on all coins in the market where there would be a specific time for its market to change.
For LTC I cant say that it doesn't have any future but shorting it wouldn't really be ideal.Sadly for those who bought lots of it hoping for that post-halving results of increase but it turns out on the different way.Its a risk or like gamble though and what it makes more deep if they do either hold it up or release it, their choice.
The effect was expected to be positive but its not a short term process, this will go after few more months so to those that knows and understands that it has to go through this way, knows what they are doing.

Yup, it's their choice to sell it or hold but if I've got a lot of Litecoin and bought it at high I'll hold it. But if I bought it at the bottom, I'll start selling it.
