Everything depends on the development of crypto, over the years, I think LTC can grow to $ 1000, because now this coin is top and it gives great hopes for growth.

In crypto land, anything is possible. I've seen several altcoins being worth nothing to hundreds of dollars in just a few days. Maybe Litecoin will experience the same thing in the future, as people become over-hyped with it somehow. Faster transaction speeds, lower costs, and the introduction of Mimblewimble for privacy could make Litecoin a viral cryptocurrency within a couple of years from now. The total supply of 84 million coins that will ever be mined, puts Litecoin closer to Bitcoin in every way. With enough demand, we could easily hit $1k in the future. All we need is for Bitcoin to reach new ATHs in price for Litecoin and other major cryptocurrencies to do the same. While there is no designated timeframe for this to happen, the smart money will choose limited crypto assets on the market (effectively resulting in higher prices over time). Litecoin fits the bill nicely as it's one of the rarest cryptocurrencies in existence besides Bitcoin.

While I'm not quite fond with the level of centralization on Litecoin's PoW consensus algorithm (becoming similar to Bitcoin), it has managed to become one of the most secure cryptocurrencies on existence because of the high hashrate on the Blockchain. This makes Litecoin a better choice than newer altcoins which are composed of smaller networks that are vulnerable to 51% attacks. In the end, market demand will truly determine the price of Litecoin or any other cryptocurrency being traded in the mainstream world. Just my thoughts

It will most likely not reach anything close to that. There is a huge queue of coins that will turn the greedy eyes first. LTC had history but it has long ended and nobody is hyped on it anymore. It has no usage in the real world and no development on the radar that would change anything in this case. Lets not joke anymore and move just move on as this going doooooown..

That is basically what it is, many were expecting that since bitcoin was so expensive that most people will decide to not use their bitcoin and just store it just like they store gold and they will use litecoins instead for its cheaper transactions and faster confirmation times but with the lightning network this will change and we will be able to use our bitcoin anywhere we want, and this is a problem for litecoin since it no longer serves any purpose to the community and I think their developers realize this.

but since the supply of bitcoin is only 21 million and also because there are too many bitcoin is now gone from the wallets that forgotten and lost,surely Litecoin will have function in future,because if the mass adoption happen then the supply of Bitcoin will be in demand and in this Litecoin will take place to cover the difference .

Actually can someone tell me what is theinherent value of Litecoin that is any different to Bitcoin?  What can Litecoin do that Bitcoin cannot do?

I don't think so actually, Litecoin is a top-class coin, the brother of Bitcoin, but yet it has not that possibility to hit 1K USD! If Litecoin hit 1K then Bitcoin should cross 50K USD, which is not possible in a couple of years. But in this decade, there has a possibility though!

Yes, I dont see Litecoin really bring good things to our society. it was born to exist and does not contribute much to the market beyond cheap fees. We don't need this at Litecoin, we need it to have a positive impact on the economy. Litecoin's team seems to have been quiet for months and there seems to be no updates. So what are the chances of it going up to $ 1000? I thought this was just fiction.

People keep talking about the speed of litecoin but what it is the point of a coin that is so fast but that you cannot use anywhere, every single time I try to spend my coins on the Internet most people only accept bitcoin as a form of payment and when I ask them if they are willing to accept another cryptocurrency most answer that they could be willing to accept ethereum and no other coin, litecoin seems to maintain its value only by inertia but it does not seem to be generating any interest from investors.

I guess it would take long or maybe let's wait the bull market happens so the price of litecoin will reach $1000. Litecoin is a good coin and I'm sure many people still supporting this coin so it is good for long term investment.

There is no doubt about the of Litecoin litcoin is still said to be a coin top and has a large volume in each exchanger, I personally still believe litcoin will touch that price but of course it takes a long time and market support

Possibly. There is always possibility in cryptoworld, just like no one predicted bitcoin would be reached $19k, it was even worth with nothing.

It can and probably will go higher than that in the future. As we get more money into the market and increase the market cap, it could very well hit that $1,000 point that the op mentioned. However, I wouldn't count on this happening anytime soon. Litecoin has just been overtaken by newer projects that offer newer and better technology, so a lot of the new money is going to these projects. The problem is, it's just a basic clone of Bitcoin for the most part.

Litecoin for me was really dead. This project is not being developed as much as it used to, and Litecoin will never be able to replace Bitcoin and ETH, it will never happen and even in 2020 I believe Litecoin will be beaten defeated by other altcoins. The current price of LTC is reasonable and I believe it will never go up too high in the future
