$67

I plan to keep liteco.in as a forum and will run it as such. Someguy123 can maintain what he is currently maintaining if I win the auction.

I hereby put on hold my intention to bid until all issues with liteco.in have been amiably resolved between Someguy123 and pool clients.

Issues do not pertain to Someguy123, so I'm reopening my intention to bid for this domain to be transferred to that user.

Okay my bid is 100,000$ time f43fdk48f  but it depends on some magic code that I wont tell you until after you tell me the number of seconds...

This has turned into a joke...

And i was really interested in this.     Sad
I'm sorry you feel that way. It's a fairly common technique in auction theory, actually.

Have a nice day!

I actually don't think this will change much. If someone is going to snipe, they will still submit a bid right at the end. And people likely won't have time to respond before the auction is over. I think extending the auction by 5 mins after every bid seems like the right solution. But obviously, you can do it however you like.
"A modern variant of the candle auction is used in some online auction systems to prevent auction sniping. In these auctions, a computer randomly selects the time when the auction will end to discourage snipers from attempting to enter bids at the last second. Indeed, Füllbrunn and Sadrieh show theoretically and experimentally that bidders submit serious bids from the start in candle auctions."

Yes, a computer randomly selecting when the auction will end will discourage snipers. But the range needs to be much larger than 2 minutes. I'd recommend at least an hour. Have the auction end anytime between July 28 2012 16:00 GMT+0000 and July 28 2012 17:00 GMT+0000.

you are going to change the terms but wont tell us?
I left you ample time to object. If you are no longer interested, feel free to withdraw your bid, or just stop bidding. Either way, since your bid is no longer the highest, you're not obligated to do anything.
