ATH hash scrypt dominant, ATH usage & acceptance, #2 on biggest payment processor Bitpay (previously flipped Bitcoin), declared commodity, ETF looming amongst fidelity EDXM&paypal&venmo&grayscale support, privacy via MWEB, 100% uptime, no premine, fair launch. It’s wakey wakey soon

No matter how good other projects are, bitcoin and ETH will always be in the top two on my list. If i am going to invest in any altcoin beside ETH then it will be a new one that came to the market when the market was in a bearish moment. Also it needs to be a new narrative that can be in the next trend. From my observation, I saw that you will make money in the altcoin market if you follow the trend. When there is a trend going on about pow coin or pos coin and layer 1 or layer 2 blockchain then more people will start investing in those projects with FOMO. This will cause a pump and all the project in that category start pumping hard.

It's been so long that this was a sleeping giant, it was continuously sleeping after all the devs and main guy have left the project. While I have still liked Litecoin because it's still cheap for fees and using it for some transfers, as an investment, I've been suggesting it before but not anymore this time. So, it's just like for the respect that Litecoin has contributed to this market and it's never going to be taken away from it. No matter how we like to see this giant awake, seems not plausible anymore.

Old altcoins are becoming big again not that often. I mean, I still think it's great, but I'm not so sure that it's gonna be in the top 10 again and breaking new heights. I'd be glad to be wrong.
I couldn't agree more. Old alts suddenly seeking to reclaim lost glory has to be one of the biggest twists we didn't see coming this bull market. Already bought a handful of them back in October and left on Bitget. Haven't checked the CEX in a while to see those bags, but it's good that they remain in safe hands for now, and I'm sure they will perform well when the bulls come.

Well, it depends on the project but most of the old altcoins will still perform later next year but almost all of them will never hit their ATH anymore, or at least in the coming post-halving cycle. This is against what many expect but it's going to be the reality as several coins/tokens with better projects and scalability are now on board and money has to be distributed on them all (market capitalization).

Litecoin in particular, I am becoming wary of it, I don't think I still have so much trust in that coin judging by how it behaves at times like this. Litecoin is still very good for transactions, but for HODLing, I will always have a rethink, there are better coins/tokens. The coin is seriously challenged for now, it didn't even show any sign that a bull run is happening, and that's too bad. For the 10th position it was before, I don't think it will ever reclaim it again. It's at $72+ with a position of 18, but might get lower in position according to my speculation.

LTC is an old coin and I agree with your opinion about the sleeping giant. LTC has many good things especially smooth transactions and low fees. But little implementation on many exchanges makes me think that LTC will never truly become like ETH, the single best performing altcoin so far.
But I love collecting LTC. It's just that I'm trying to look for another altcoin because LTC still uses the POW method which I think is not environmentally friendly enough.

Sleeping giant, indeed? The giant in that comment goes with a question mark because Litecoin has remained embarrassingly on the floor while those other coins on the top list with it have continued to do well. It's even more embarrassing that it slumped after its own halving a few months ago, precisely on 2nd August, 2023 from around $90 to $72 as I type this. I don't want to worry my head over where its price is headed ATM with the few unit I bought but I'm hopeful it might do a triple of its current price once the Bitcoin rally begins proper. This industry is full of unpredictability.

Its scrypt dominance, historical ATH in hash rate, and broad usage, as seen by its position as Bitpay's second-largest payment processor, portray a hopeful picture. Declarations as a commodity, together with backing from significant organizations like as Fidelity, EDXM, PayPal, Venmo, and Grayscale, strengthen its position. The prospect of an ETF increases the potential upside.
The use of MWEB for anonymity, paired with a fair launch, no premine, and steady uptime, increases the legitimacy of Litecoin. Given these variables in the context of the changing crypto environment, the potential of Litecoin's imminent awakening becomes increasingly realistic.

Where do you plan to get that LTC? I'm thinking of HODLing it as well making sure that it's beneficial when I own it. I would treat it as an asset just for profit not like BTC I would own it no matter the price. I agree that it can be just because. Maybe it's just a feeling lol.

Many thing will happen in crypto market. And these are the signs of bull run. And in bull run season old coins like Litecoin which you have mentioned will perform well.
If Bitcoin will cross the ATH. So others will also try to touch or cross the ATH and Litecoin can perform more well.

Because recently it's halving passed and it can perform well. Like Bitcoin mostly perform after the Halving. And I really hope that Lite will also perform just like that.

I dunno if it has any long term future but it could rally in the upcoming bull market sure. It’s far from a certainty so why take the risk buying? If you’re not already invested then as a new investor, I wouldn’t start buying it. Just buy Bitcoin & Ethereum, you will still make very handsome profits.

I'm not too sure, however you can predict your main coin where I also predict mine, I prefer Solana.
For the first time, Solana is ranked 6th on Coingecko, and the price of Solana is still at 60$, imagine if it reached ath earlier.

Yes I agree with you about that. And we know that when Bitcoin and Ethereum gain profits there is investors that was to diversify their portfolios and put it into alts like Litecoin.

We must remember Litecoin is the sibling to Bitcoin from 2011. Faster payments and cheaper also. I think a good alt to have in your portfolio.

There's seem to be a good accumulation on Litecoin from whales at the moment. It is likely to have a price boost in recent future. There have been technical improvements on the chain.  The transaction fees for the coin are low and is readily accepted on most exchange, that's why it's my favorite coin for exchange hoping.
But I'm unsure about the coin on longer run like for over a decade as POW coins are being criticized and favored against due to their energy uses.

I think it's not a significant problem if the user wants to increase their LTC holdings because currently LTC is still very, very worth adding. I think the principle is simple, just keep adding ownership as long as the price is right and reasonable, even if LTC goes up again, wait again when the market gives a discount, if there aren't enough other options available in Altcoin, it's just time to research again to survey prices and potential increases
