Nvidia cards are catching up though. Might go and check out the cuda development thread for more information.
Dollar-for-dollar, the AMD cards still offer a more than 2:1 advantage over NVIDIA despite the increased gains via cudaMiner. Thus why I only suggest using them if you already happen to have them and not go out to buy one specifically for mining. That said, though, cudaMiner gives me hope that perhaps that performance gap can close more.

Does it makes sense to mine it with 2 GeForce 670 cards?

you can try, but nvidia cards are horrible at mining.

If you already own the cards, sure thing. Use cudaMiner posted on this forum to mine with much faster rates. You'll get at least 300 kH/s from the two of them together.

If buying cards, go for ATI/AMD over NVIDIA for mining.

what are some other stratum litecoin pools?

Many people use Coinotron, which is Stratum only I believe.  I've been happier with WeMineLTC.com.  I get lower rejects and the operator seems to have a focus on a good backend.  I'd stay away from Notroll.in.  High fees and some fishy behavior by the operator.

I currently have a nvidia quadro 600 and am currently in the process of setting up my miner and so forth, tried ltc mining with cgminer but it would just crash my drivers and shutdown, so I'm looking for an alternative I found a tutorial on solo ltc mining with reaper I'm not sure if this is a viable option because I don't know the current difficulty of the block and I have yet to successfully gpu mine ltc, I'll link the tut in a sec lemme go find it.

LTC mining making sense or not is affected by LTC/BTC or USD conversion rate, accessibility of cheap power really

I just mine casually with my idle computers for fun

thanks for the reply, i took a look at that website, and wow those people are making serious money.

whats the effective way of doing this? 3-way crossfire computers ? whats your setup if you want to share it ?

i think i might just build me some more computers Smiley

EDIT: oh and if anyone knows, what kinda numbers could i get from this card http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/graphics/ati-radeon-hd-5000/hd-5870-eyefinity-6-edition/pages/overview.aspx

i can get two of those for about 300$, but i havent been able to find anything on that specific card so, im not sure whether i should buy them, as they will be for mining only.

Answer is yes... rooms full of hardware. Hot hardware.   Grin

Fact is you can get various kH/s from different boards, but in my situation I run at about 500kH/s with a single 7950 GPU for litecoins.  All you have to do is multiply it out.  Well, that and $$. Smiley

My current miner holds 6 x 7950s and produces about 3 Mh/s.

As of right now, as the ASICS are entering the market, BTC are moving from the Mh/s to Gh/s.  Odds are that unless you are in the Gh/s you are going to be banging your head against the wall with the block solve times for BTC.

That being said, 500kH/s is not a bad place to be for litecoins.  Keep cooking those processors!
