So as a back story, I am heavily invested into these two coins. Each one of them has their specific uses and I personally think that Etherium can do all the things that Litecoin can do, and then some. Litecoin's primary use is to transfer money from one place to another. You can do that with any cryptocurrency, and ETH offers that option as well, along with the same if not cheaper type of fees as LTC.
Now, they also offer smart contracts which will attract ICO's to use ETH. So with that being said, if you had to portion out 100% of your portfolio with either LTC or ETH, how would you populate it and why? I need some convincing on why I should stay invested in LTC.
Ethereum on any day over litecoin.See i may be biased toward Ethereum as i have invested in ETH.But still there are many things that makes ETH as one of the most stable coin in crypto market right now.ETH has the potential a in it and it has already showed how resistive he can be in dip.LTC is also a great coin and has done well in recent times but still ETH is my pick.

If you only care about the profits then to keep your investment in litecoin will be a good option, look at the market cap of both coins ETH has almost 10 times the market cap of litecoin, which of those two coins do you think has an higher chance to double its price? The answer should be obvious, litecoin has a greater a chance of doubling its price due to its lower market cap and as such has the potential of being a better investment in the short and long term.

I think ethereum is better than litecoin. First, it have a popularity which is much bigger than litecoin's . Also, ethereum's value and price is generally satisfying. I think ethereum has a really great potential to reach better prices in the near future.

I prefer ETH because a lot of coin from many ICO are based on ethereum. But you should invest both to reduce the risk.

i dont think that Litcoin have any demand but ETH do have a big demand. To share the payment mainly Etherem are shared. ETH price will rise within 1 year but Litecoin will going to take 2 years to grow. Even the price of Litecoin is less.

LitePay is out now, that changes everything.
I'm now very bullish on LTC now than I was before.

But yeah, smart to diversify your investments, IMO. You only need one to go to the moon (if not several) -- but don't bet on shit coins (do proper research yourself and be sceptical of any biased FOMO or FUD being spread).

ETH -- also have excellent long-term promise too; and is considered as the 2nd generation crypto with its smart-contract capabilities.

And even Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is now showing a lot more promise with its aggressive push for adoption and development.
And Stellar too.

The thing, IMO, is that even though BTC is still the most establish coin with the least volatility -- it also mean that it has less long-term potential for a high %growth as it did before (but less risky maybe) compared to the lower MCAP coins.

I myself am betting a little on the higher MCAP altcoins aiming to become the 3rd Generation cryptos (such as Cardano, NEO, etc.), and decentralized exchanges such as AirSwap.

Litecoin is just a mere copy of bitcoin, with a faster transaction speed. I agree that there is nothing litecoin can do but ethereum can't.
If I have to choose between these two, I'd pick ethereum over litecoin 1000% without a doubt. Ethereum has smart contracts feature which is really brilliant and trully unique. Also as there are lots of erc20 projects recently and much more in the future, this could add more value to ethereum as well.

Also there are many altcoins with literally the same feature as litecoin, which makes it not unique at all. In my opinion litecoin is really overvalued.

If you are talking only about ETH and LTC i think you should hold both of them. A lot of good news coming for this projects. No one knows which will rise in price faster.

With many ico's project approaching this year, i seen the demand of Ethereum will increasing. So i think Invest in this coins along this year would be good point.
Litecoin has been pass his gold age, there are less of improvement and many potential coins behind it can take his position such as NEO, DASH, etc.

For now it's Ethereum because it has better features and falls just next after bitcoin. Also Ethereum seems to have a better future than Litecoin. Both LTC and ETH are coins that can be invested and can be trusted. But I would prefer to ETH because the price is stable and has many advantages as well as many good benefits for others like Low transaction costs. There are also more ICO projects on ETH compared to LTC.

most people here sure pick etehreum as an answer including me , but if we look it now you can actually do both for investment , since the price and the marketcap itself on litecoin still had a significant different than eth

actually in general we think that in two projects very high quality. My answer: short term Litecoin, long term Ethereum. But investing in these two coins will be most logical

I prefer ethereum because it promises a lot more in shorter walks. It seems like it has big goals and it is more popular, but litecoin is not a coin that can be ignored either. It is good but ethereum is a bit more ahead

If I had to pick one of them I'd go for Ethereum. Although LTC will go up I don't think can be a competitor of ETH. I'm looking for the blockchain 3.0 instead.
I will also choose etherium like you, because etherium is very good prospect in the future like bitcoin, so even though etherium lost the same price LTC it baseball problem for me important I choose etherium

This is like a general feature, not so special features and also most of the coin holders do the same thing better than ETH and LTC. Smartcontract from the coin holder not only offers ico but also sees several successful Daaps apps built on the Ethereum platform. Ethereum is also combined with technology that is so privacy and there will also be a mixer ethereum from zcoin. I think LTC and ETH are coins that can be invested and can be trusted. But I would prefer to ETH because the price is stable and has many advantages as well as many good benefits for others. Low transaction costs, There are also more ETH and ICO projects on ETH compared to LTC.

Given a chance to pick,  I will pick Ethereum because it has a better future than Litecoin.  Last year the dev of Litecoin sell all his holdings which is not a good indication or sign for a developer to sell all his coin.
