both of these coins do have different characteristics and advantages of the technology used by litecoin better than ethereum litecoin transfer speed of course faster. but from the popular point of view it is better ethereum, so there is nothing we have to choose these two coins is very good to be maintained
So as a back story, I am heavily invested into these two coins. Each one of them has their specific uses and I personally think that Etherium can do all the things that Litecoin can do, and then some. Litecoin's primary use is to transfer money from one place to another. You can do that with any cryptocurrency, and ETH offers that option as well, along with the same if not cheaper type of fees as LTC.
Now, they also offer smart contracts which will attract ICO's to use ETH. So with that being said, if you had to portion out 100% of your portfolio with either LTC or ETH, how would you populate it and why? I need some convincing on why I should stay invested in LTC.

If you give your 100% money on only one coin between Ethereum and Litecoin, I would be choosing Ethereum. But I hope you are not getting me wrong, Litecoin is also a good coin and is very much a good choice for investment. Litecoin is a very solid project that would definitely go a long way in the crypto world. But since you are only asking one among the two choice, I give you Ethereum as my answer. Ethereum is a very strong crypto in the whole world, second to Bitcoin. It has so much to offer to the world.
ethereum and litecoin are equally good for investment, ethereum is the second best coin after bitcoin alt many use ethereum platform so the ethereum will be strong in the market.while litecoin is more stable the price goes up and down not far away,,so it depends which coin you like.
Why not both?
I do prefer ethereum than litecoin. We know that the two coins are good to invest but ethereum has unstoppable right now. Price of ethereum today hit to a good for investing.

Litecoin is also a good coin FOR SCALPING I think . because it is like dodge coin that stays at 80 sats and then go low 45sats after and it is like repeating hahahaha.

For me, i choose ETH. Because we see what is the difference of this. Ethereum and after the bitcoin so it has a possibility that the ethereum will become the number one among the all curency if the bitcoin is gone while the litecoin is on the top 6 , in terms of price and quality ethereum because ethereum has a high price compare to the lite and there are more projects in ethereum Now, they also offer smart contracts which will attract ICO's to use ETH. both coins are good.but i think etherium is more better then litecoin.i not said litecoin is bad .litecoin is also strong coin.but i like etherium.i am sure ether furure is very bright.etherium price increase very high because in 2017 one ether is only $10 now it's price is $850 .most of coins are use ether platform. and we hope it's price hit $5000 in near future .that's why i like etherium.
I personally prefer ethereum because I think it is safer to invest, the ethereum price is stable so even though we do not have much time to look at the market it will be safe, if litle coins I am still afraid to invest that cause me to be worried
I prefer ETH cause there are a lot ICO depending on ETH. Litecoin is good too, i split it to two part, 70% on ETH 30% on LTC
I also did that. I split my investment in to two parts. But I invest 80% on ETH and 20% on LTC. I am more imperturbable to invest on ETH because it's established already.
I think ethereum is better. I think the development of the price is better than ethereum litecoin, And certainly more profitable.
I personally think if you are sure to invest in LTC please do. which I monitor from the development of value market owned by LTC is also pretty good. development on LTC coins can also be said to be interesting. and just wait for the developments that occur on your coins.
both is nice altcoins man, if do you want to invest for the longterm is better to buy litecoin

I also prefer Etherium, because Etherium has more functions, and there are more and more ICO projects based on Etherium, and LTC has no competitive advantage in comparison.
Litecoin is performing pretty good right now but Eth is a waaaay more developed platform
litecoin and ethereum are totally different coin with different algo, capabilities and target. I would take ethereum over litecoin any day anytime. Litecoin has been existing for years with no particular use until bitcoin became expensive to send. Ethereum on the other hand us less than five years and it has capture more than 20% of cryptocurrency users.
I've lost a lot of trust in Litecoin after Charlie Lee dumped on everybody. ETH is a much more ambitious project, as they are allowing DApps and fostering literally hundreds of projects to be built on top of their platform.
for me investation isn't about price and other, but ratio pairing or the rise and fall points as multiplication to my capital
so if your ask "ltc or eth", yeah eth is the right choice, i think after btc is eth but i suggest you not forget about ltc because until now litecoin transactions remained high

I'll go for ethereum, because ethereum have more functions than litecoin, ethereum is the top 2 cryptocurrency coin. Ethereum is more potential than litecoin. Lite coin is a new coin that pump so many investors, invest in lite coin because they see the value in the marketplace but do you think they know the platform of ethereum and it's potential now? You must read some article or news to this 2 altcoins.
Ethereum is really worth it but litecoin its worth it too but not that like in ethereum, but im going to choose is ethereum because it has a lot potential and a really good altcoin to all.
