My only conclusion is this thread is some sort of desperate bazaar attempt to prop up the ever dwindling Litecoin price.

With this thinking...

What would it matter if any encryption is compromised, when every application, including your OS of choice, could very well be compromised to boot?

most all the Application that 98 % of the population use are , so what ?

so Mr NSA analyst that shares his data like a crack whore , can read about who I'm banging ; or any good business ideas; or investment advice (of which i've been happily sharing good an bad... : D)  of which 1000's are stolen;  or get good idea's for movies for example ?

literally anything you put though common email is common knowledge , if you don't treat it that way, more fool you .

if you want to have secrets in 2013 , friend join an "Intel" agency or move to a wood cabin.

but..., however , wtf has any of that got to do with ,. say , oh you know, stealing or destroying what is meant to be a fairly secure and rare resource that has value, like say ... oh ..Bitcoin ?

in case i'm not being clear here - what the fuck has privacy got to do with Bitcoins potentially flawed blockchain ?

just becasue some semi psychopath governments want to chase every last cent out of their poor disheveled citizens (to pay for the next war for TET and keep the music playing with the debt scam), what has that got to do with the rest of the world ?

And if the "rest of the world" including nations of freer countries invest in Bitcoin , and it turns out flawed in a grievous way , , there is a larger problem here than say pure privacy ? you agree ?

Don't even want to think about hardware back doors.

If this is the NSA... then just imagine what China is doing.

Plus China controls the 3 foundries...
That provide "security" for the "decentralized" Bitcoin network.

yeah,  that's part of the problem really isn't it , for example there are other players in the world of encryption , I mean a problem like this doesn't just become "unipolar"  : |

this is why , partly to tell you the true it is what it is , but , one can not leave out the risk to the whole Blockchain with just SHA-256 - PoW

could anyone comment on say Dynamic Centralized Check-Pointing ? - I mean , I know BTC does not do this   , they do it manually I understand ?

I mean information like this make DCCP look good in comparison , would it help or not is unclear ? we'd need a Checkpoint professional here to explain that  ?

The proof of work is not SHA-256.  For the calculation of the merkel roots it does, but not sure how this is even exploitable!

The transaction signing is the same but uses Elliptic Curve signatures.  This is not too much of an issue if you change your addresses often.

Also there are other measures that can be taken that have been developed from this forum - , some of this is a bit of FUD , as the redesigning of the Signatures algo can be done so it is said, also say with a system that has been implemented with some of the PoS currency is an effective strategy - Also it is said if Sigs were cracked this would not be transparent .

the problem with a "pure SHA-256" is the risk to the whole Blockchain, in my opinion .

one can't definitively rule that out. in this case. , BTC falls victim of the "first of a first" syndrome perhaps?

I told you a lot of the solutions have already been developed, that's not the main issue.

I think you will find there are other issues.

but I think they can be overcome.

I'm not sure if I'm the one with a solution but I'm positive there is a solution ...

I guess we can see in the future ?

lol -

yeah don't get me wrong at least we all KNOW fiat centrally issued as an instrument of debt is 100% fraud -

whereas say Bitcoin just looks like mostly fraud . or at very least the most flawed version of a "free" system I've seen in a long time.

but its set a precedent - so called "alts" .

I certainly am confident that we won't be measuring all other Crypto against BTC soon.

like everything moving forward  , there is an idea then an improvement .

I think a lot of the improvements have already been designed.

which just leaves the flawed - so called "Crypto- Reserve" .
