LTC seems pretty dead lately.
I was hoping the Trezor wallet announcement would have some positive effect, but it barely made any difference in the market.
Everyone seems to have forgotten about Litecoin, which is sad, because its one of the more decent alt-coins.

i really like to hold LTC. Why? Just because the price is so stable. i dont want to make profit by holding LTC. i just park my trading profits in LTC. if i see an opportunity to trade, then i sell LTC for an other coin.

LTC is not even stable at all. It is undergoing a long and steady downtrend and one of these days some big holders will dump bring the coin to a very low point. I had seen this chart pattern in other coins and most of them did not end well. I was wrong to buy some LTC when I saw it was stable a few months ago. Its price keeps sliding down and any rally gets sold in a few days.

I see LTC ---FOOLS IDIOTS--- are still dreaming of "moon". LOL.

This fool is trying to scam people into buying WORTHLESS litecoin with his delusional "new ath in 2017" talk.

Reality is, LTC is still below $4, and you're talking of ATH!

LOOLOLOOLOLOLOLOLOOOOLL

You should pray for LTC above $5 (99% sure it will NEVER ever happen again) before trying to SCAM people into buying worthless, ipo, premine LTC...

The benefits of ltc as listed are quite well known to people and it would be good to take stock of the promised developments in 2016 from the link you posted to see if LTC developed the way it was planned to.

I can't see how OP arrived at a 150$ valuation... care to share a little more concrete, less tongue-in-cheek analysis?

topics like this don't really have much to say because it is guess work and is mostly hyping a particular coin up.

with that said i believe the litecoin is one of the rare altcoins that has stuck around and will continue doing so and because of that it will have a better price in the future but i seriously doubt that it can ever reach $150 from the current $4 ish price because there is not much use for this coin.

For those who cannot see the benefits of using Litecoin, I found an interesting post:

A great coin because:

  • Capable of four times as many transactions as Bitcoin in a ten minute period. Frankly if payment processors had adopted Litecoin in the past year current Bitcoin block discussions would be irrelevant (and likely the price of both coins higher). Anyone who has watched these discussions understands the immediate advantage of a network with larger transactional capability.
  • Faster confirmation times. The only people who don't think this is important have never spent a single coin or they have patience that the average person does not possess.
  • The faster block time of litecoin reduces the risk of double spending attacks.
  • Anti-spam.
  • Fast well established network. Current Hashrate is 1,643 GH/s. Since scrypt is memory intensive it is known to be approximately 1000 times slower hardware wise in comparison to SHA256. Fair comparison to the Bitcoin network requires multiplying that hashrate by 1000 (1,643 TH/s). The fact is for most of Litecoins history the hashrate has been relatively high and secure. Those comparing it to the Bitcoin network without considering this 1k factor are either being disingenuous or just ignorant of the facts.
  • Continuous development look here at number of releases in past year: https://github.com/litecoin-project/litecoin/releases
  • Upcoming new features and active development look here for whats happening in 2016:
    https://litecoinassociation.org/data/roadmap.pdf
  • Longevity. Many coins have temporarily eclipsed litecoin as they were marketed for the purpose of increasing the fiat accounts of a small group and emptying the accounts of new users. Unfortunately this has been detrimental to crypto-space in general.
  • Great community.
  • Fully supported by GoCoin a growing merchant payment processor used by thousands of merchants https://www.gocoin.com/ as well as other processors such as coinpayments, Asmoney, Alfacoins and Coinify
  • Liquidity. You can sell thousands and not crash the market. Maintains value. Look at the chart here indicating volume in the last 24 hours relative to other coins http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/litecoin/#markets in fact volume has remained high month after month for years.
  • The speed, liquidity and value of Litecoin is useful to traders seeking arbitrage opportunities between exchanges.
  • Now on coinbase.
  • Upcoming release to include a on-chain adaptive block size scaling solution. This will substantially increase the transactional capacity of Litecoin.
  • Fair release. In a crypto world of premined and ICO releases many appreciate this fact. The code was released well before the Genesis block was mined and everyone knew when it would be going live; therefore, individuals could anticipate and get their miners and software ready.
  • It's primary function is to be a cryptocurrency.
  • Still mineable in many western countries even after electrical costs are factored in. Here in Canada my Titans still make a profit long after shutting my Neptunes down.
  • It will always maintain the integrity of the blockchain (no hard forks for special interests).
  • Security.

I totally agree with both of you. I deal with btc every day and I know how huge market is. I can see its very usefull for many people and companies. Ltc I dont know the market at all. But many Times ltc is going up after btc. With the same money you can do sometimes more on forex buying ltcusd than btcusd. ofcourse not always:)

btcusd ltcusd i usually buy not sell. Always in mind to the moon. But for now ltcusd I bought a lot:)

btc/usd is obvious a good market and we are all buying bitcoin whenever we can because it is the best long term or even short term investment that you can find around there.

but when it comes to altcoins things get much riskier because for example a coin like LTC doesn't really have any real demand compared to bitcoin and that makes the investment a risk and will need pumps to give you profit. however you should also know that Chinese are always watching LTC and pumping it hard from time to time when bitcoin becomes more stable.
We have the same perspective on which i would really tend to use or trade with btc/usd rather than on some altcoin like ltc  because as you mentioned pumping altcoin would really takes time and big whales does have the capability to made such actions on the market thats why people would really prefer on bitcoin because of its popularity and the marketcap.

Don't ask me how I know, but let me just say LTC will see ATH in 2017. I'm currently prepping for the greatest green dildo in crypto history.

[I m g]https://i.imgur.com/GRHxXBQ.jpg[/img]

just saying it is going up and adding a fun picture is called trolling not speculation about altcoin price!! your topic is as worthless as bitcoinlitcoinbtcltc topics about litecoin.

with that said I believe that litecoin will see a good rise in the near future, most probably after this monero pump. but to the moon, I doubt it. $50-$100 and so on are unrealistic prices that you only see in your dreams but a more reasonable rise even temporary like a pump is more likely.

If Litecoin ever pumps again, it will be to $4.20 and then crash down again.

Moon for LTC is $4.20 because even $4 is unreachable now Cheesy

i don't mine if after the price is reach $4.20 then the price is down again, because i can sell my litecoin stock so i can make a good profit for that. but for now, i think i will hold it and if there is a good movement from litecoin in price, then maybe i will sell for small amount.

I dont own ltc. I have only btc.
But i play forex. On forex i often buy or sell ltcusd. If more and more  people will put money on this option price will change. may be down or up. But its possible to pump it. btcusd ltc usd are only pairs working on weekends. So people who wants to play weekends as well dont have other choice. it means its becoming more and more popular.

No way it is possible for Litecoin to go to 150 dollars.
Litecoin has no innovation and development unlike others new coins like ETH. You have been saying this since last year but price is dropping.
Yo, litecoin ain't goin' nowhere except to git drunk at a bar with all y'all losers who bought it.  And you know damn well the bartender ain't even accepting it as payment.

Now that there graphic is funny.  Sometimes I think these alt coin developers have a lot of stuff bee-lining to theiranus, uranus, whatever.  That's fo damn sure where these cryptocurrencies is aheaded.  'Cept bitcoin.  Bitcoin is gone take the moonshot, you jist watch.

Hilarious  Cheesy

ETH is not a currency.. it's a scammy ICO scheme token.
LTC is a currency and there for is capable of far more.
..but that high a price ? i don't know about that.

If you keep grabbing it and trying to shoot it up that high.. you will wear off the veins !

EDIT:

Oh and Minecache claimed 2 months ago that Ethereum will be $100 a coin in 12 months.
I plan on Rubbing it in his nose when they are worth a dollar or two LOL  Cheesy

Even if Litecoin does rise to $150 as you said, 2017 is too short a time for it to climb that high that fast -  unless the developers intend to make some really fascinating changes to the coin.

Exactly, he is a lying shill. If it were to rise that much, it should've started rising a while ago.

LTC sub $3.50 in September (possibly sub $3).
