At this point lots of active Bitcoiners have been stockpiling some LTC to dump on Gox. When it hits Gox, there will be a massive increase in demand, but the initial flood of LTC will match or surpass that demand wouldn't you think?

I think Mt Gox are too busy on other system developments to add LTC.
Another factor could be that they don't see BTC-e and Vircurex as much of a competition in the BTC exchange space. However, Bitforex has started LTC trading so the pressure is mounting for Bitstamp or Mt Gox to follow suit.

I wish they had litecoin. But sadly idk if it will happen reading news feed seems they have more important items to focus on.
