Yes new projects mostly used BSC as their smart contract because it easy to make and the speed of the transaction is fast followed with small transaction fee make BSC really dominated new projects for right now. Some also used ERC-20 (ETH) but not as much as it was. Litecoin don't have this kind of big ecosystem like BSC that's why the growth is not too fast

BNB is youngest but it is created by Binance.Binance Smart Chain will help BNB has more investors and holders.
