To earn, it is not easy at all, but there are ways you can but many are very risky. If you know about bounty campaigns, some people earn through it, but most can be waste of time, some can later turn scam in wish you will work and yet not paid, but some people still make use of it to earn. Also, you can try and be conversant with this forum, there are opportunities to earn bitcoin in signature campaigns, but you have to be an established member. Some earn through airdrops but I will not consider this as reliable at all, some are scam while some only want to steal your information which they can later use against you in a phishing attempt in order to scam you. Some beginners can make use of faucets but not profitable and many sees it as a waste of time.

Nothing is give away free if it is a great asset. Bitcoin and Ethereum have been in the era that faucets are ending.
Literally, you must work to get money or cryptocurrency. Even there are free rewards from Bounties but in most bounty types, you have to work and get bounty rewards.
Bounties can sound good for you as a beginners but risks from them are sometimes you won't get payouts. If you participate in bad bounties, scam developers will run and break their promises on payouts.
With bounties, you have to pay cost of token transactions, in ETH and it is not cheap.

You have to give something to get something in return mate, there is no free way to get ethereum than using skills or using money, the longest way to get free eth is through faucets and it's complete waste of time, do you have any skills at all? e.g writer?
Sites that you can use to "earn" cryptocurrencies are mostly not that good. But you know an easy solution? Simply doing the normal ways or earning money — through jobs, gigs, businesses, etc, and just using the fiat you've earned to buy bitcoin or whatever cryptocurrency you want.
I don't think there is a viable solution other than finding a job that lets you earn cryptocurrency. You can go to reddit and see if you can find freelancing jobs that accepts crypto though. Or If you have lots of spare time then you can just offer some of your skills to create services.
