Groupthink IQ is only about 85. I'm sure this group is doing the best they can in regards to their research efforts.

We really are doing our best...

We have a writer who works for us Neil (http://helixminers.com/author/neil/ ) who is also the writer for Crypto Coins News (http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/author/neil), and we have allowed him to be as honest and non-biased as possible!  We did this only to make our experiences more valid and, of course, well written.

We've kept to mostly the companies that we haven't really visited...but after today (Mining Asics Tech - http://helixminers.com/look-mining-asics-technologies/) we will be talking more hard facts and first-hand experiences with companies that we have visited and shaken the hands of!

Keep a close look at our blog!!  We are very excited about our final one on the 8th day!

While I would certainly agree with you that Gridseed as a company cares nothing about cryptos (or their customers for that matter), I guess I just find it disingenuous at best to claim the device only does 2Mh/s when everyone here using them is getting 2 and a half times that minimum.  Even running at stock speed of 750MHz it gets the rated performance of 5.2Mh/s so I really don't know what you were doing that you couldn't get that.

I realize that perhaps you did get an early model and maybe that is why it didn't work for you, but given that you are sticking to that opinion and continuing to reference that analysis despite all evidence to the contrary seems strange.   I mean it isn't like there are dozens of different models out there taking up all your testing time.

The other company you decided to to write about KNCminer, you said in this thread that you were only discussing scrypt miners hence why you left out bitmain, but your entire blurb about this company discusses nothing but their bitcoin miners.

I guess the blog just seems rather pointless to me.  But whatever, it's your blog and I've said my piece so I'll leave it alone now.

Your analysis sucks tbh.  First of all wth is the point of this?  Only one company on your list actually has a working product as of right now so who cares what you think about the rest of them?  Pretty hard to compare companies\products when there is only one company shipping at the moment.

Second, I read your bs on the blades.  Your main argument seemed to be that they weren't "innovative enough" (I wonder what that says about everyone who was mining scrypt with r9 280x's).  Who cares if it is innovative?  It was superior in every way to the 5 chip gridseeds and sold for the same price.  It read like a piece one would write if they tried to get a deal with gridseed but couldn't.  Seriously, you claimed you couldn't get more then 2Mh/s out of the thing.  I personally have dozens of them running rock solid stable at 5.5, and I know many other people on here do too.  Maybe you don't know how to work it?

I'm waiting with baited breath to see what illustrious gem of wisdom you have for us on the 8th day.

When we wrote that blog about the Gridseed Blade, we were one of the first one's to receive it...we quickly started testing it, and after many attempts on trying to reach their specified 5.5 MH/s WITHOUT over clocking, it was impossible.  Because of these results, we just decided that it wasn't worth investing, at the time, and selling a product that was just a way for Gridseed to make more money....on clearly lazy excuse for a new product...also...just like the 5-chip unit, the price was quickly diluted and so the quality of the product dropped along with the price...

Were not undermining the product itself...I'm sure that with over clocking (something not everyone knows how to do I might add) you can easily get the 5.5MH/s...I am merely pointing out that Gridseed could care less about the idea of Crypto-Currency itself...they only want to make a quick buck and get the heck out to the next easy money thing....

We want to change that view of the crypto-currency community...that it's about unity and helping out one another.

So the big announcement that we have on the 8th day.........you'll see what we mean Wink

Oh and we've updated our next blog....Fibonacci!

We shall see phzi.  So far only Bitmain, Spondoolies, Gridseed, and a few of those A1 clone companies have really delivered as promised.

Everyone else missed the boat.

Was checking out your website, Helix.  Promise us you only ship equipment from stock when you resell.  No more pre order bs and holding customer monies for extended time and good refund/compensation packages.
GC3355 and A1 based units are lacking in power efficiency.  They are first models, sure, but I don't think they will be the most profitable.

What chips are more efficient and ships in completed miners within a week?

That model (Butterfly Labs, Hashfast, Cointerra, VMC, Black Arrow) hasn't worked so far in the past, in this industry.

Only one side benefits, and it's not the consumer
There is always a chance, maybe even a good one, that new companies will learn from the failures of past companies.  There are some solid well-known chip developers involved now, and some pre-order models now come with clear refund policies and development progress updates (certainly, not all, but some).

This thread/blog may well show the industry is changing... or, maybe it won't.  That's the interesting part I guess, no?

Providing mining hardware...one person at a time!
KNC is primarily a SHA-256 asic manufacturer.  Yes, I know they have the Titan and mini-Titan coming out, but they made their name by selling Saturn, Jupiter, and at some point Neptune Bitcoin miners, not Scrypt.
KnC is an ASIC mining manufacturer, building both SHA256 and scrypt(n=10) chips and machines at this point.

I think they key is that unless a company produces scrypt ASIC hardware, they won't be included in this thread (which makes plenty of sense).

What scrypt miner, they haven't shipped any yet, it doesn't exist?  This list is already debunked by the majority of entities.  Only Gridseeds exist.

All hypotheticals aka Pre order pixie dust.  Should blog on what you can get in a week.

We're basically discussing two different things...companies that we have personally visited (actually got on a plane, shook the hands of owners, saw and felt real BETA products, took pictures, etc) and companies that we have done extensive research on (have not visited because of several reasons, including it not being worth the trip  Wink )

We want to make sure, first hand, that we are investing in real people, real ideas, and solid foundations...not just whatever is available on the market at the time....intangible assets are just as important if not more important...especially in this industry!

Hope that kind of explains our vision!

What about Alpha-T ?

Good Point!  Added!!  We have some "interesting" things to say about our visit to their offices....

No mention of the #1 mining company in the world, Bitmaintech?

Delivered over 20% of the network hashrate, quite an omission.

We're just naming out the Scrypt Mining Development companies...so when Bitmain does a Scrypt Miner....we'll be there to visit them!

At Helix Miners we have been meticulously researching and working hard to bring you all the necessary information regarding the development companies that have popped up and are now taking your money and promising hashing power, ROI and whatever else they can think of.  Here are the ones we will be talking about (in no particular order):

1. Gridseed (of course) - http://helixminers.com/reevaluating-gridseed/
2. KnC Miners - http://helixminers.com/research-kncminer/
3. Mining Asics Technology - http://helixminers.com/look-mining-asics-technologies/
4. Flower Technology - http://helixminers.com/helix-miners-partners-flower-technology/
5. Hashra - http://helixminers.com/hashra-amazing-deal-good-true/
6. Zeus Miners - http://helixminers.com/take-zeusminer/
7. Fibonacci - http://helixminers.com/fibonacci-enigmatic-name-enigmatic-company/
8. Alpha-Tech - http://helixminers.com/alpha-technology-open-ethical/

We've picked these companies for a variety of reasons.  With ETA's for their miners quickly approaching, we are all eager to see which ones will deliver and which ones will come up with some great excuse to prolong the inevitable.  We have started a DAILY blog post on these companies (started yesterday), and will be posting on each one, not only giving our own opinion of each, but also sourcing all of the data online, and compiling them into nice chewable chunks!

You can ask questions here or email us directly if you have any questions! [email protected]

We also have an AWESOME update to make at the end of this 8 day "blogging" that will change everything.  A little mix of CHAIN and something else Wink
