Simple FOREX conversion wouldnt do the trick.
I think a lot of people would be interested in an EUR ticker, say from Kraken, HitBTC and Zyado(The 3 biggest EUR exchanges).

Could you add EUR support?

We could convert the index price to EUR, however many of the included exchanges do not support BTC/EUR conversion, do you still think it would be a worthwhile service for your website?

Including Coinbase is kind of like including an index within your index

While Coin Base bases its price on its own internal index, that price as I understand it varies from any single exchange out there so we thought it was worth including.

Looks like every other index. Can someone make a bitcoinwisdom copy. Whenever bcwisdom is down i have no alternative with 1m 5m Chart that can switch between exchanges.

One Token to Move Anything Anywhere
Nice. Did you make this? Are other currencies supported apart from USD? Would be good to see all exchange prices on front screen, and not have to scroll down.

This is the land of wolves now & you're not a wolf
I like this, good job!   It is clean looking, and doesn't have extra stuff in there (besides what is necessary).

Do you have a WP Widge yet?

That could get you a ton of users IMO.

The way the live price is served is as an image, you can just use the standard WordPress image widget and it works great.

It's good, but I still prefer the one available from CoinDesk, as it gives a nice little interactive graph for prices over the last hour.

I love CoinDesk, great site.

The benefit of the CoinDesk ticker is that the price can be updated without refreshing the page, but the downside is it requires using Javascript, which many CMSs (like WordPress) do not support. Also, CoinDesk includes only 3 active exchanges (not counting Gox as they have stopped reporting, not sure why CoinDesk still lists them), and we currently track the 7 largest exchanges trading in US Dollars.

Thanks for the suggestion about including the graph, I'll look into adding a couple image versions that include the small graphs, I think a Sparkline would do nicely...

Leave no FUD unchallenged
There's another one on CryptoCoin Charts too.  Probably better for sites aimed at more experienced users, as people who are new to Bitcoin might get confused with all the detail in that one.

Oh, that is nice too.  However, you still have to carry 1) a link to coindesk, 2) a coindesk logo, and 3) two tooltips with 'coindesk' in them.  That is a lot of advertisement to promote for a site which contribute not so much to a web page.  But, I have to admit I like it too.  I might change to that one.

This is a great example of the limitations of existing offers I mentioned in the first post. It represents a single price put forth by a "retail Bitcoin seller" and is not indicative of the Bitcoin market as a whole.

You are wrong actually.  That might come from the website of a bitcoin seller, but the price comes direct from a very accurate (probably one of the best) API and is always updated to reflect an average of the three biggest exchanges.  Just check the price for yourself.  I think you will be impressed.  It is a VERY accurate reflection of the instantaneous bitcoin market as a whole.

Not going to address your "hoge-poge mess of advertising" comment as feedback (except from you, offering a similar service and trying to hijack the thread) has been positive overall...

We believe pricing transparency is very important to Bitcoins overall success.

All our index data is public, we list the 7 major USD exchanges included and their last price on the Index site, updated every minute.

What are the "3 biggest exchanges" you have included? Where is your index data? How is calculated? How often is it updated?

As someone selling Bitcoin "retail" as you put it, where do you get yours wholesale? Why should I (or anyone) trust your advertised price?

Just some food for thought...

Again, our service is free, we don't operate an exchange or sell Bitcoins for profit, our only goal is to help people share an indexed price for Bitcoin, and yes, spread the word that the index exists here: http://www.CoinCadence.com/bitcoin-index/ Wink

First off, that's not my site.  I don't sell anything.  Not retail - not wholesale.  I just noticed that the price of that thing is highly accurate.  It is very freaking close to bitstamp all the time. I don't know how it's calculated - but I guess from looking it is closely tied to the three biggest exchanges.  Prove me wrong - do you see any price errors on that one?  Didn't think so.  Your system on the other hand is full of eyesore crap.  It is busy and cluttered.  The other one is actually free - unlike yours which comes with 'free' advertising for you.  Hey, you don't have to use it.  I just discovered that it is pretty cool and decided to share with others.  Keep offering yours around - someone without pride will surely take it.

I see project is getting upgraded! Smiley
Very good!

Thanks roslinpl!

Any chance on releasing a branded free version?
Would be more then happy to pay and use this instead of the current one I use on my blog.

Would you prefer to pay a little for an unbranded version or a little more for a version branded with your business?

Here is a 250X80 brand free widget...
...
Put that in your website.

Our Index is far from perfect, but it is the true average across established exchanges trading Bitcoin and USD.
