Be careful sending this guy any information...

Why? I did send him some info about a guy who scammed me, although I doubt he will succeed in extracting the owed money I think it's at least worth a try. I have contacted two other people in the past who offered similar services and they weren't able to help me. It's not like I'm giving him any personal information about me (apart from BTC addresses maybe).

Nothing to stop him from collecting your debt in full and paying you nothing.  Get an agreement first, don't just send information. Smiley

I agree but I don't really see how I could protect myself, at most I can have a non-legal agreement with him if I don't want to share my own personal information. It's a bit like theymos trusts a few forum members to store the forum funds — it's mostly based on trust that they won't run away with the money, not on a written (non-legal) agreement that would be very difficult to enforce should one of those people decide to run with the BTC.

Do you do other types of recovery?

I got scammed 225 usd 2 years ago by a local currency merchant. I got his scam webpage which is still online, all the emails send between us and his full name. I've tried to track him down but all his data available is fake. If you google for him now you will find a lot of people that got scammed by him. I've lost hope a long time ago. I still don't think it is recoverable. But after reading this I thought why not give it a shot.

I wouldn't mind if you "extract" all of his money. Given the amount of complications and the time he made me loose I hate this guy. If you are interested let me know. And if you happen to find where he actually lives in the process I know a lot of people that would love to know how to find him. He scammed a lot of people for a lot more money than he scammed me...

Thanks!

I am owed about $200 by an individual who got scammer-tagged last year. PM me and I will provide you with more details (I have his full name and some other info but don't know where he currently lives).

If you manage to get the money back in the form of BTC / fiat / goods / etc., you can have 35% of it instead of 5%.

Hey all,

I posted something similar several months ago.  I am willing to act as a "recovery" specialist.  If someone does not pay you back for a loan, I can track that person down and "extract" the funds from them to pay you back.  I only charge 5% of the returned money AFTER it is returned, so you really have nothing to loose.

I won't accept all cases, and having personal information on the person is a big help.

Thanks.

Excellent service.  So are you going to take the Joey case?

doesn't matter if the methods are legal or illegal, as long as the objective is attained.  furthermore, isn't it that those who run away with our hard earned bitcoins deserve any treatment they will receive?  the moment they choose to run away, they lost their choice as to what treatment they will want.  i support this kind of loan recovery.

Its not about "what they deserve", its about you getting trouble because you hired someone who is doing illegal things on your behalf (threaten people, harming people, hacking, spam them via mail / telephone, ...) In the end you get sued and have to pay more then you intended to get back...

oh, maybe it will be advisable to use encrypting messaging (like bitmessage) when dealing with OP.  that way there'll be no proof.  but thinking again, it's not as simple as that.  OP should have let the lender know who he owes money to and for how much btc.  any suggestion on how to counter this and for the investor be completely anonymous?

Lemme guess: Payment due before recovery attempt is made, then you disappear Cheesy

Didn't OP say AFTER the money is returned?

Yep, I don't charge anything before I return your money.

And I would prefer to keep my methods private, for legal reasons.

As in your methods are illegal? Cheesy

If someone owns me money, how do you plan to actually make him pay me back if he does not answer me?
I don't really understand how you could help in such a case.
