People in the thread have already talked about how it can really really go down, but not go down to zero. If it hits zero at some point, it would mean bitcoin is used by so so less people that it will be non existent. With already millions of people using bitcoin, I think its alright to assume that there might be huge price drops but it certainly won't be disowned, not until a major, much profitable and much better investment & currency alternative comes around

not to mention that it would shut down many other thing and not only bitcoin , also i doubt bitcoin at zero would be your primarely concern without electricity and internet...
the great thing about bitcoin is that, in the case that bitcoin go to zero again, it can always restart from there and build another rally, basically immortal...

If you are afraid of something to go to zero after you buy it, don't buy it.. Simple as that..
yes of course it is very simple as you said, but the problem is i want to buy it and i have to get the important thing about what my invesment in the future...and i think many people have the same think like me except if they are very rich and don't care about their money to invest what ever it going to lose or not...i'm not a rich man so i have to be carefull about my money though it is something tiny for the other ones
Don't invest in something that you don't understand.
I understand bitcoin, therefore i am heavily invested. Something that always disturb me about go invest in bitcoin is the volatility of the price of bitcoin, there is a feeling of afraid that someday may be in tbe next five or ten years crom now bitcoin is going to zero, but i don't find any logical reason that it could be happen in the next time the main reason is that the demand always grow and grow could you please tell me the logical reason that bitcoin someday next will be zero value
Indeed sometimes I was a little afraid about in next 5 or 10 years bitcoin worthless. But i think bitcoin will not to 0 Usd, certainly bitcoin still have a price.
And to for today no logical reason which can make bitcoin will be zero value.
you are right especially after i read all coments here on my thread finally i found that there is no logical reason that bicoin is going to zero value and even 1 USD per btc at least for 5 to 10 years later from now...thank you to you all guys..i really apreciate your post here

the volatile nature of bitcoin is because it is a relatively new currency. as people will get aware about bitcoin and adopt it, bitcoin value will get stable. i dont see any possible reason for it to go down to 0 usd. as bitcoin is only widely use currency. as bitcoin will improve the value will get stable.
this is a clear explanation that there is no reason that bitcoin will go to zero...another imposible reason is that cause bitcoin going to zero is if electricity and internet in the world is shutdown, but i think it is imposible
at this pt, if btc goes to zero. were gonna have bigger problems than just bitcoin, its going to be somekind of global situation,maybe the grid going down, or 1984 happens everything will be centrallized.

It is indeed like the blockchain: each day that new transactions pile up on the blockchain, the safer former transactions are.
Similarly, everyday Bitcoin survives, the more resilient it becomes.
Once we cross the psychological barrier of 1000 USD per BTC, sky is literally the limit. All the auto-impossed pessimistic mental limitations and barriers will over. 5 to 6 figures per BTC will ensue in the future.

at this point I find it even less likely than , let's say... 10k.100k range in value
like it was said, going below 100, is a scenario that can still happen, but i would not assume, anything under the price that bitcoin was sitting before the last megapump

if there will be one day shutdown of internet or electricity, bitcoin price will be the smallest concern and I will even forget, that something called bitcoin ever exists..:)
worst case scenario is 51% attack or some really tough regulations on gov. side (cooperating with T1 ISP), anyway, even if something really horrible happen, there is not way for 0 per BTC anymore. no worries:)

There are tons of forgotten coins that never went to 0.
Somebody will always be tempted to buy Bitcoin if the price goes incredibly cheap, you would be an idiot not to. This is why it will never disappear. Its network effect is way to big at this point.
