If you decide to use a logo design with the Facebook logo included, you'll need to receive permission from Facebook first: https://www.facebook.com/brandpermissions/logos.php

Number six in the guidelines suggests that using the Facebook brand will not be approved:

"6.  You may not combine our Brand Assets, or elements of our Brand Assets, with your own name or mark or generic terms."

Sorry to put a damper on the contest, but I thought I'd pass this information on before anyone else includes the Facebook brand in their entries.

I am submitting x3 rough logo drafts. If any of these 'win', and you want a more detailed and refined mark that properly encompasses all aspect of your business/website, we can work on a deal. Aside from mark creation, I am capable of all forms of graphic design, branding, and advertising. These were done extremely quick, as (I hope to not offend you), but 2 BTC is not much of an incentive for quality graphic design work. These marks were all created in Adobe Illustrator, and then ported into Adobe Photoshop for scaling for posting. The native files are vectors, so they can be resized without losing any quality. Photoshop versions I have are 300 and 72 DPI.

Wow! These look really great. I would say you have best chances. I agree and know that 2 BTC is "not much". So long, all profit I make with the site  is used for advertisement and things like this one. Of course, I hope for more advertisers (the only income) on our site, that in turn would allow to spend more. You did a really great job, I would say. Thank you for participating.

Is this accomplished with the use of an online wallet? Does this give control of any BTC to a 3rd party, or is it transmitted directly between users?

You will get an online wallet and give control the the BTC to us. It is certainly not the ideal tool to exchange large amount of BTC but a nice way to exchange tiny amounts and to get new people get to know about Bitcoins by the use of some facebook communication channels.

New users still get a tiny amount of BTC as welcome present that allows you to play around with them. If you like, just go to bitcoin-app.com, login and give it a try ( for free, of course )

Cool, thanks,
It sounds like a great app. I'll look out for it in future,
I'm not that good with photoshop or anything so I'll stay out for now.
Best of Luck.

Hi Taz,

its a facebook app that allows for bitcoin exchange between friends on facebook.
Its mainly meant to spread the Bitcoin idea. bitcoin exchange between users is free of any fees.

Additionally, each user can earn some coins by accepting advertisement mails, but that is optional. And of course, the other way round, advertisers can spread their message next to some bitcoins among the users.

That's pretty much it.

I do not plan to modify the submitted logos.

Hi trudi,

A couple questions for you:
Can you share some more info about bitcoin-app.com?
And do the logos have to be high quality to be chosen, or will you redo the ideas after choosing one?

Thanks,
Taz

take5. That's of course ok. Just add an BTC address and you are in the race.

I personally most liked that one of you:

Perhaps exchange the (forbidden) f with some 3 or 4 graph-like connected faces? Just a thought..

Thanks for participating and good luck!

You are good at designing? bitcoin-app.com needs a logo!

You can participate by sending your proposal to this thread, together with a BTC address to receive your reward.
All proposals that appear to be serious will be uploaded on 5th of august to bitcoin-app.com to have the bitcoin-app.com users vote for the best one. The winning one will be rewarded with 1 BTC. We will award another 1 BTC to the author of the logo that we finally choose as the future bitcoin-app.com logo (this might differ from the one chosen by the users).

Mind that your proposal must be designed by yourself and must not be protected by any copyrights etc.

(was thread https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/logo-competition-participate-and-win-2-btc-94370 before. Moved to newbies because nobody gets to read posts in Economy -> market place -> services )

Update 05.08.2012
Users can now give their vote on bitcoin-app.com ( click on !Vote and Win! )
We raffle another 1 BTC among all voters.

Good luck!
