Really appreciate the input guys! Setting up my Kraken for long term and opened Bittrex to add WAVES to that and go for some smaller coins.  Roll Eyes
You may add mobilego for a long term investment. Their project is good, also waves is good to invest for a long term also. You may add other altcoins that worth to invest.

Your portfolio is looking very good for long term investment I think you should make another portfolio with new coins which is more risky than this one.

Hi Guys,

New on the forum and looking for some advice. I am looking at long term investing, in these coins:

- Bitcoin (40%) but only when the price drops
- Ethereum (20%)
- Litecoin (10%)
- Zcash (10%)
- Ripple (10%)
- Monero (10%)

Those coins I can buy with my current Kraken account. I am also looking at small investment in WAVES and OmiseGO but then have to use Bittrex. Not sure about the switch yet. Any ideas?

Greatly appreciated!

You should probably go on long term for bitcoin. There would be a dip this september, you must wait for it. And in waves, waves will pump this september also. Some people call this  september as a bull market so reminiscence for septembull.

You've got a good set choice of alt coins there. Try to add some more with the small investment that you are looking for.

Try to buy AdX or DGB they are good though. But if WAVES and OmiseGo are your last resort, just go with bittrex man.

Don't doubt those coins.

My opinion none of the crypto currencies that can guarantee you income in the long term. For me, the more chances you have of bitcoin, but who can predict how many times it is still a fork? Every time is the loss of a certain number of supporters.

Would say that it is still good to invest in bitcoins don't wait for the prices to go down. It might not ever go down anymore.
For altcoins, I would say to invest into ETH and LTC as those seem to be good to buy right now. Ripple seems to be going down
and correcting already. I don't have info on the others.

For the long term haul I would definitely suggest to invest in 2 of your list

Bitcoin
Litecoin

and 2 to seriously consider would be

Ethereum
Monero

And yes possibly

Zcash

and something to dabble in as a day trade here and there

Ripple

Thank you VERY much for the quick responses! Just opened on Bittrex to get some WAVES a.s.a.p.

At what rate would you guys buy the coins? I am confident about buying LiteCoin & Ripple at this rate. ETH seems high but who knows what they will be in 1 year.

It's great to see a post with a plan drawing some genuinely constructive discussion.  Good luck to you!

Why didnt you include RISE? It is a very good DPOS coin that pays high interest.

Nice pick. I would advise, as you said, Waves. But also look into Stratis and Lisk, they behave quite simillar to Waves, so they might rise aswell. Also check out Iconomi, it could good to have some of them, in case everything goes well.

I would remove Ripple from the list though. But it is personal preference.

I think the OP is the right path for a long term investment.  Diversified portfolio of "blue chip" coins. The only thing I did different was I equal-weighted BitCoin, LiteCoin, Dash, and Etherium.  I would equal-weight Monero when Exodus gets that in their wallet.  My next move is to take a chance on a new comer or two ... Omise Go looks like it has potential, so I'd second that one.  Picking a good "under the radar" alt coin is the hard part.

Glad to see you've got ETH and Ripple on there. Whatever you do, don't remove Ripple!
Good to always have BTC as well. Some to hold and some to use for trading.
I'd also use 10% or so to invest in smaller, lower cap coins that you think show promise.

I love the diversification but I would cross out zcash on it and would rather put up Waves instead of zcash. You might require another exchange but its not really an issue because handling two exchangers isn't really hard at all. This is what I'm doing now and also if you are targeting for long term better to withdraw those coins and store it on their respective wallets and don't ever leave them too long in an exchange.
