This is a perfect example that no matter what happens Bitcoin would surely grow in the future,

Definitely the increment is happening but not in a huge way it slow and steadily developing but this year will not be the end for Bitcoin and we can expect the next year also developing and I think more than this year the next year will be more powerful for the development of Bitcoin and the good other cryptocurrencies

I think that this increase is due to the acceptance of the BAKKT that brings new investors into the market, which opens doors to investments where they practically buy regardless of the price. I agree with you, to get a big profit we must be prepared to choose a long-term investment in bitcoin. And according to some studies that I have read, bitcoin will pump back in 2020, whether it will happen or not but we must get ready immediately. 
And that is looking at just the lowest annual value. Despite the volatility we can see that in the long run there is an increase in value. That's why hodlers stockpile, they see the possibility of being a bagholder to be low.
For now it's more an investment yes. It'll take wider circulation for it to transition to a more useable currency.

Any year, Bitcoin is always expensive and dollar is what gives it the value. Which means, without dollars or Fiat money, Bitcoin would not be valuable. So when Bitcoin increases, it is dollar that we are looking for on how much 1 BTC would be.

Considering that yearly lows of bitcoin for the past 10 years, bitcoin investment might be good for long term. Whatever happens, leaving your bitcoin for few years, you'll still end up with profit. You can have a yearly buy and sell to earn bigger returns of investment.
