SCAMMER

Why do people never listen to us?
I'm starting to think the same. Practically anyone called out by us has been proven to be a scammer, to the extent that I'm feeling sick and tired to call another one out. I called HonorMe out on his first attempt to get a loan - I won't say how but those tards are really obvious. We should actually start to reinforce some anti-scamming rules over here.

Wrd.  These scammers need to be named and shamed before they even have a chance to scam.  If by some chance an honest trader accidentally gets labeled as a scammer, BOO FUCKING HOO.

His story was just not good enough. I was about to warn Burt when he was in touch with him but he asked the right questions Wink

I look away for a few minutes, and this guy gets confirmed.  Probably because none of his stories stacked up and I kept with my decision not to lend.  I hope no one got too burned by this.

For reference, the initial request I received was 600, then 300, then 100, then a couple at 75.

wow, some big numbers there.  Yea he initiated a few(what appeared like good transactions at the time) and went running to every lending source he could find.

We never know though. Could be we are all judgemental assholes and the guy just has a lot on his plate and will pull through...  I'd much rather be flagged as an asshole though than see more people get scammed.

I got in touch with one of his references.  The "I'm working for this guy and what he's paying will cover the loan" came back as "yeah, I spoke to him, but nothing definite"

The change in value, asking many people at the same time, inconsistent post stories, and the special "I already have two Minirigs" in the pm posted by yochdog https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.978095 were hard to go past.

I'm starting to suspect that there is a line somewhere, you know, like the line in a supermarket cashier, where dudes are all waiting eagerly to get scammed.

All paid signature campaigns should be banned.
sylkyx,

FYI:  If you are trying to build a public reputation then you need to publicly declare your loan(s):  who you borrowed from, what addresses are used for the transactions and the interest rate you are paying, etc.

If you do not care about building your public reputation then, carry on...

Congrats!  You should post the loan details here so you can build up your public reputation.

Almost all borrowers with your post history profile are scammers.  But, you are right, there is a small possibily that you are not one of them.  Time will tell.

+1. Who's the one loaning you?

Most likely someone with a low post count and just registered within the last couple months.  Within a few days expect him to chime in on this thread how sylkyx paid him back in full and on time and how he wouldn't hesitate to lend to sylkyx in the future.

This. LOL. I was asking a rhetorical question.

PROOF?

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.837818 - Asks to buy Bitcoins via Western Union
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.844545 - First post out of Newbies section and he's selling hardware

And of course there's this thread where he's already asking for hand outs.  Cookie cutter scam IMHO.  But if it isn't, he pretty much cut off his own head with his own postings.

registered 5 days ago, quick posts, blurry photo, heads straight to lending section, urgent, getting paid "soon"

how many more red flags do you need?

I could be wrong I guess.

No... Not another one of those loans...
Please read this thread first : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--75742

Do you have any rep/ id we, the loaners can identify?
He made it clear the purpose of the loan was to cover expenses rather than to build reputation.
