You can use Tor or a VPN to bet at Fairlay and Direct Bet.
We (UK) still have anonibet and cloudbet without having to feel like criminals & hide though Grin

https://www.anonibet.com/default.aspx
https://www.cloudbet.com/en/

A lot of the other sites have blocked UK based people playing due to a new UK gambling law.
You can read about it here - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/uk-gambling-commission-says-uk-based-sites-need-a-license-308793

The thread was started in 2013 but skip to this bit, it's confirmed towards the end of page 1 -

The UK Gambling Commission has written to online sportsbooks, bookmakers and casinos telling them to block anyone with a UK IP address.
Already, Direct Bet and the Fairlay Bitcoin betting exchange have implemented this today.
It's outrageous.
Thanks, I saw that legislation and that has affected loads of sites.  I will checkout Cloudbet, thanks for the help.

Ok I understand now. I'm usually ok in seeing my btc getting converted in eur, and then I can bet or play poker. That's why I mentioned neteller, or titanbet. But yes, that does not allow you to withdraw or bet without the conversion.
I will keep a lookout and will report back if I find a good site, for now I'll just have to use good old Fiat Smiley

I'm sorry maybe I did not understand the question. What do you mean by a "UK sports betting site"?
Don't you just want a site that accepts betting on UK sports, like william hill, betfair, titanbet, etc.
Titanbet even accepts deposits with btc (and you can ofc deposit via neteller, that also accepts deposits with btc on all the others).

Or you want a site that lets you place your bets in btc, and not just let you deposit and convert to another currency?

I am looking for a site that allows betting on sports in particular horse racing which I can access in the UK without having to go down any VPN route, somewhere that accepts Bitcoin and pays out in Bitcoin, I tried Directbet but they are not available in the UK.

Cheers

I am looking for a UK sports betting site but the few I have tried do not operate in the UK, I am assuming it is due to the fact they require a gambling license in the UK

http://www.sbcnews.co.uk/technology/2015/07/01/bitcoin-gambling-operators-warned-over-legality/

Does anybody know of a site that can be used via the UK?
