Fork is used as a buzzword right now, a fork doesn't have to be a bad thing if done correctly. yeah but with ethereum it is never done correctly.
hard forks in any coding project not only cryptocurrencies are considered bad, and in here it should be studied and worked on for a long time before you go ahead and hard fork the thing.

I think so, I read an article yesterday about them doing Hark fork again whcih I think will dent the image of Ethereum the more, the greediness of their developers has created more problem than anticipated, maybe at the end of the day we will have more than 5 ethereum like platform
The EF keep saying that Ethereum is an experimental project, but I think that its market cap is not justified. And they basically went to bed with the banks. That is why I never even considered to buy ETH, no matter if the concept of cryptocurrencies fails in near future.

The hard fork was rushed due to time constraints and I think the Ether devs did not expect ETC to survive this long. If they did they would have taken more care to sever the chains properly.
ETC will not hard fork, so Ether has to hope that miners on ETC move back to Ether. Right now Ethereum Chain State shows ETC hashing power down to 500 from 600 gH/s yesterday. Give it a few weeks, I think ETC hashrate will either be down to less than 100 gh or up to 1000 gh/s. If that happens Ether may be forced to hard fork again.
