I does appear to me that coinbase has confiscated/stolen my btc and the only hope i have is to continue to try and convince coinbase to credit my account wit my btc. Non custodial wallet for me from now on, lesson learned.
That's a good step, you should only store your funds in your own self custody, if you use exchange wallets to store your funds, then you can always run into problems like this because the exchange can confiscate your funds at anytime.

But then you have to sell or buy BTC from somewhere, and to do that you should use p2p exchanges and you can find them in this link: https://kycnot.me/?type=exchange

Thanks for all the reply's, what a great forum full of helpful people. Crypto.com did complete the transaction and it is confirmed on the blockchain.  I have sent screenshots of this to coinbase and spent many hours talking to the deaf and dumb support via the live message and eventually they forward it to technical support and say they will contact me via email. I am a few days into this attempt to resolve this and am now in the waiting game for them to contact me via email or for them to do nothing and close the case as resolved again. I have sent a  smaller amount of btc from crypto.com to coinbase and I did receive it, I was hoping it would trigger the missing btc but it didn't. I does appear to me that coinbase has confiscated/stolen my btc and the only hope i have is to continue to try and convince coinbase to credit my account wit my btc. as I said they double sent me cash and fixed it under a day.

but that was a mistake in my favor.

When I did a send or deposit back in 2017 they made an error in their favor they fixed it in 7-10 days.

I may not have the old emails on that  I will look for them.

First of all, just check whether the transaction is confirmed or still pending by copying the txid from crypto.com to any blockchain explorer.
Op already said the transaction has been confirmed or 'completed' in their own words.
I read that but OP might have been mistaken or what if the issue starts with the crypto.com itself and failed to send the funds and wrongly marked as completed instead of failed? Smiley

Coinbase support is dead and dumb everywhere, we will get the same results no matter on what platform we contact them.

Your BTC is not lost and according to what you said happened when you unrestricted the account. I believe the problem happened from the CoinBase end cause it's a crypto exchange with complicated issues since 4-5 years ago which is the reason why I don't use it anymore.
You will have to contact that support but there's a chance that you are from the region CoinBase stated need to provide the reason for the crypto transfer, etc.
Once you get this issue resolved, I will advise you to use a crypto exchange that doesn't have complicated service and high KYC requirements.

When using a custodian service you run the risk of them pulling something like this every once in a while and they can easily hide behind their ToS to justify their actions.

Keep on messaging ghwi support team and reach out to them on social platforms where they have a presence.

List of useful Bitcoin block explorers

If you see the status confirmed with the number then crypto.com sends the funds to coinbase account and now you have to contact the coinbase support and provide the proof of txid and your history tab then they might credit the funds.

Coinbase support suck, it will take multiple attempts to resolve an issue and how on earth they are allowed to solve the ticket without giving an actual solution.

Coinbase control the funds, so only them can help you in this situation, they own the keys to the address you deposited your funds and since they control it, only them can process your deposit and make it available in your account. It is not unusual for the support team of centralized services to be reluctant to assist customers, you can try creating 'noise' about your issue on some of the social media platforms and see what happens.

It is worth mentioning that this is the risk you face everytine you deposit funds into a centralized exchange, they can confiscate the funds for any reason at all and you may end up being unable to unlock it.

If seems that your case isn't an isolated one[1] sadly. I found this supposed fix[2] from 6 years ago but I wouldn't get my hopes up with it. Their support also appears to be active on Reddit as well, have you tried creating a post in their sub?

they do miscredit.

One time I pulled 1500 usd cash out and they sent it to me 2 times vs once.

They let me know they errored and pulled the second 1500 out in under 24 hours.

keep showing them the send address  which sent to    123yourcoinbaseadderess

Send them screen shots.

also screen shot your deposit address now as it should match the one that got the funds.

my coinbase deposit address has not change in years mine is

3M@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@kE7

I have had it for years.

So just check your coin base address it should be the same that it always was.

Looks like there was a problem with crediting your account, so keep pestering that customer support until they update your account balance. By the way also make sure you have your Coinbase app updated in case you are using a mobile software and is not displaying the balances correctly.

If the address that you sent the bitcoins to is correct, and if the transaction is actually confirmed in a block, then the ONLY people that can help you are Coinbase employees.

What has coinbase done with my btc,
Only Coinbase knows.  It's impossible for anybody else to know what Coinbase has done.

is it lost forever?
That depends on what Coinbase has done, and how convincing you can be to get them to help you.

Thanks for any help or advice.
Good luck.  If it was a large amount, you might want to contact a lawyer.

Hi, I transferred some btc from crypro.com to coinbase.com and crypto.com completed the transaction but it did not make it into my coinbase account.  The blockchain is showing it as complete. The problem lies with coinbase, when i transferred my btc my coinbase account had been restricted, upon seeing this i promptly got it unrestricted. The btc did show in my coinbase account as pending for about 10 min but then disappeared completely from coinbase. This happened 8 weeks ago, third attempt now with support and I am still waiting for them to reply. first 2 attempts they close the case as resolved. What has coinbase done with my btc, is it lost forever?
Thanks for any help or advice.
