If you think you know part of your password, you might try modifying Revalin's script here to work for you.
Have to say thank you for that link!! I suddenly realised I'd forgotten my password, raced to this thread, which very reasonably asked if I had a backup from before encryption.. Bam! Moneyed again.

Bruteforcing may be an option...if you have a supercomputer. if not, try to remember fractions of it. I hope you did not simply copy & paste the pw every time.

If it is lost: lesson learned

Hehe, my password must be bruteforceproof, atleast for the 21st century. 384 bits entropy.

Pity it's not a password encryption based around SHA256...

Seems legit...

That's pretty funny, but if he has lost the password for his wallet, his coins are gone and he has nothing more to lose. On the other hand, perhaps computers will be powerful enough in a few years to crack the wallet's encryption.

Alright I can certainly see what I can do, I'd need you to shoot over your wallet.dat file to get the ball rolling. If you have any idea what the password is too, like its numbers, or its a word, or its a combo of both, or a phrase that would help reduce the number of possibilities. Also if you think you may have used special characters, ect. Let me know, thanks.

lol Smiley

bad idea to send anyone wallet.dat

What is a ton of litecoins? As in 50 or 50,000? I ask because it may be worth my time to hack your wallet depending on your answer. Of course I would need like 50% of the take.
